Great Ambience, Decent Thai food
I have only tried the Thai food over here, and it was very good. The sizzlers are good, the spring rolls are very good.
But what hits you about the place is the ambience. Don't sit in their indoor restaurant, sit outside. If the weather is good, then you'll have a rocking time with family and friends.
Only downside really is that it is a good 15-20 kms away from Ahmedabad, and requires a bit of a drive to get there.
Friends, just one word is enough to inform/caution you about this restaurant.
Wate is served just once. If you need more water to drink, you'll either have to walk to the nearby canal or wait till you reach home. 'Cause the staff is mindless of serving you another round of water.
Service - HORRIBLE
Food - below average
Wating time - FOREVER. Sophisticated staff just roams around without taking pain to ask you whether you'd like to have a seat.
Too much waiting for Average food
I went to this placeafter reading so many good comments about it.. first of all we waited for 45 mintues to get a seat and then again 45 minutes after we ordered food. we felt it was the laziest service we have ever seen.. talking about interiors, it is too dark there, nobody can see whats there in dish :P
After all this, I had very bad experience there as my wife was bit by mouse there under the table (Garden Area). we were not able to see what was there and we thought that it was snake.. those were toughest 30 minutes for me from that hotel to the hospital... thank god it was just a mouse... but beware of that and keep your legs on the sofa only ... god bless you all.
What is so so good about this place is just the am
I think what is so so good about this place is just the ambiance...
Indeed the place is made beautifully especially the outdoors...
The whole look and feel is captivating and makes you forget food and service...A perfect dating romantic spot...
5/5 for it...just ambiance...
However for a foodie taste absolutely counts...and the food is not so great...had ordered Cheese corn balls and Chinese Sizzler...along with Broccoli Almond soup...
The soup was better rest all the stuff was disappointing...and did not feel like ordering much...
Indeed want to try out Punjabi servings...
Suggest to visit this place to enjoy the ambiance...food will be lesser missed...
Go for Canal side environment and Live music
Far from city, Loved this place for its chinese cuisine, Sizzling brownie and most importantly LIVE MUSIC on weekends. with the condition that either pre-book or go before time to avoid waiting. Superb ambience as its near by canal and dim lights and live music make the place perfect to hav some quality time with your partner!
By the bay!
I dread going to this place in monsoon or during summer for that matter, unless you choose to be seated inside the closed enclosure which serves Indian food. Having said that, how different would that be versus the run of the mill, dime a dozen other restaurants offering the same menu at relatively closer proximity to your residence. Yes, winter is the time I would like to go to this place over and again. Relishing Mexican and Oriental food while the chill running through your spine would be an awesome experience. They also arrange for a bonfire on request at nominal charges. They loose their throttle over their service pace when it comes to the open seating. Nonetheless the food tastes awesome and compensates for the long wait. Abundant parking space is available.
Great ambiance and good food
Restaurant's ambiance is great. Landscaping of garden and lighting is good. Garden sitting arrangement is very good. We went there on a rainy evening, so atmo was awesome. Enjoyed candle light dinner. Food was good as well. However they should improvise few things. They should do regular maintenance on minor stuff like menu card and other similar things. It was a bit turn off to see torn menu cards. Also should consider to add more items on menu. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a change from usual city restaurants.
avnavi n hetalz
hmm we went to this many times..jst a one the best place in city. good ambience n good place for the candle light dinner. one of best variety to try is cheese fondue..its really awesome..vegetables r jst fried in perfect manner n its combination wid melted cheese is great.. n another varieties r the no of sizzelers n best one of them is chinese one..worth going this place as many as one wants hehe
Only water, nothing else
After reading the reviews before me on burrp, I went there with high expectations on a rainy day.... when we reached there, the ambience was beautiful, with seating overlooking the narmada river....however, due to the rains the seating was closed off and we had to sit indoors... a little disappointed, we proceeded to place our order... even though the restaurant looked distinctly dirty and unhygienic... we asked the manager for some tea/coffee...but he informed us that they did not have milk available.... now to think that in such a big restuarant, something like milk would be unavailable.... finally we ordered a margarita pizza and french fries (spelled as potto chips on their menu) from their limited snacks menu.... and then waited... and waited some more... some 45 minutes later we saw the attendent serving fries on a table near to us... we called him and asked him about our order... 5 minutes later he comes back and says the french fries are no longer available.... we decided to leave the place.... needless to say, i am not going to visit the place ever again... the management was least concerned that we were leaving without eating... didn't like their attitude at all........so the next time you want to enjoy some snacks by the river side, consider taking your ingredients along with you....
happening weekends -
Had a nice experience, location & food r the main charm. Decor is good. Spacious n comfortable parking. Would definitely suggest for a romantic date, a perfect place under the skyline of stars and glowing moon with a candle light & can choose your theme (Pre-ordered - arranged) accompanied with your lovely flower followed by some heavenly recipies .. ..
good food good ambiance
Good food and @ very cool place near canal. It's 20+ Km from my place near SG Road so someone coming from Paldi or Ambavadi add traffic and 5-7 Km more.
There is waiting even on Tuesday which is quite a news for me. I have not seen any place that full on Tuesday. Be prepared to wait 2-3 hrs if you reach there 7 or 8 PM in weekends.
Parking space is enough. Place is cool in winter.
I have not tried Mexican there but friends who tried it liked it. Food was good and value for money.
Best Place to Hangout In Calm Outskirts of d City
First of all.. Lets Start wid d name itself.. Waterside..!!!
Truely based at a calm and serene location next to the canal, far from the hustling bustling city of Ahmedabad.
The view is excellent, especially in this rainy season when its green all around.
Now the place...!!! Okay.. it gives u that "In Class" feeling as soon as u reach the gate.. Loved the use Of wood all around starting from the Entrance.. huge wooden gate..!!!
As u enter u get that earthy feel from water flowing on your left, and the wooden pathway, and the Bamboo trees on the right..
I have been there 2-3 times... And let me tell you, i m in love with this place already, especially the ..... Mexican and Italian food area. The seating arrangement and the ambiance is just to wonderful, and exclusive, that u ll hardly see in some few restaurants in Ahmedabad... If wid frnds, u wud'nt feel like leaving the place chatting ....!!!
I would suggest u must reach around 6.30 when its still not that dark, to get the actual waterside feel...!!!
Food is tasty, as well as reasonably priced.. They feel is rich but it wont empty ur pocket much.. ;)
Now lets talk about the Punjabi & Chinese Section... Well this part gives a feel of a restaurant that usually we see on Ships, with the kind of usage of wood in the flooring and ceiling as well as the design of chairs..( i m going in too much details i guess).. Anyways lets talk about food.. , Well the food here is toooooo good.. Be it punjabi subzi's or any of the rice delicacies, u wud'nt regret ordering any of it.. The only things i was not quite satisfied with were the moctails....!! Need to work a bit there..
Else Menu is priced quite fair..!!!
I loved it and hope u too will...!!!
There r two advantages of being there..
1. U get the maza of a Loooonnnngggg drive.
2. A lovely place to be at.
Best Indian, mexican, Italian food
I have been to this place twice. First time i had Punjabi and next time I had Mexican and Italian.
First thing first, Food good quality and quantity. As far as restaurant theme and decor is concern i would rate it 4 out of 5. Fantastic decor inside for an AC room and outside i will rate rather more 4.5 out of 5. Superb sitting arrangement and ambiance is very nice.
Very nice place to hang out with your family, friends, very kid friendly.
Experience with food is pretty OK, not so good but not bad also. It was a good food rather. Soups very not nice, but yes Punjabi and rice and other things were good.
We went on Sunday, so may be because of rush they were not able to deliver the order fast, each and every single order from our side was taking too much time. I waited for 1 single Roti for more than 10 minutes...:(
So on Sunday i think they can't manage the rush. Else if you'll go on weekdays, you should have much more fun i guess.
Overall nice experience and very good ambiance and fantastic place to hang out.
