Nice buffet lunch!

Had been today with my friends to this place. THough i did not have great expectation, the taste was good. The buffet (329+tax which get to about 400 per head) is a little over priced, not too expensive. Ambiance and service gets 2 stars. Taste of Food and the choice gets 1.5 stars.

Taste of Rampur, Improved apparently..

I haven't been to this restaurant, but one rainy evening, i was jonesing for some mutton tandoori chops and nobody else in this area delivers anything like it. And so, with some trepidation ( because of the less than stellar reviews on burrp) I ordered a tandoori chaap, a black daal and some roomali rotis.
The mutton was great, the black daal was not too bad, although needs some work, the roomalis were good..
i also tried their mirchi ka salan to complement some biriyani I had at home - the salan was excellent, large mirchis stuffed with paneer in a delightful gravy.
I have eaten better, but overall, i am quite satisfied, and definitely get the impression that the management her seems to be energized and working on this place.
Will try some other items over the next month and report back..

Not worth the money!

Had been here this saturday night with my wife and three friends for a dinner with good expectations after visiting thier koramangala hotel.

Need to say it was too expensive for the quality. The hara bara kabab was all paste! lassi was all water and sugar, the dal was burnt, the rice was hard etc etc.

I think its become a fashion in bangalore to have good ambience and serve bad food.

@hotel management: pull up ur socks guys, give attention to food more than ambience.

Average food Bad Service

The waiter was least interested in serving our food. about the food itself, frankly i have had better mughlai in similarly priced restaurants. The kebabs were overcooked and the main course was only average. Not gonna go again

Worst Restaurant in terms of service and quality

I had really a very bitter experience dining here in Indiranagar Taste of Rampur... First of all they pushed us for Ala Carte.. Eventually we accepted as there is lot of choice... Most DISTURBING thing was that we found SOME INSECT IN THE FOOD... Even after complaining about it, nothing has ever happened...They have just removed the plate... The whole Birthday Party feel was Spoiled...Moreover they are charging like hell and it surely isn't worth it with the quality of food they serve...I would NEVER PREFER this restaurant again in my lyfe...

Great Ambiance

Excellent ambiance, Excellent service, Excellent food. We went in on a Saturday, it being Navratri time, was veg-by-choice. The breads were all good.
Will be going back soon to have a dig at the non-veg section :) (The menu was much more exciting on the non-veg side)

Disappointing!!

We had been planning to try this restaurant for some time but, somehow always missed it. We finally made it there yesterday but, the food and service was highly disappointing. We didn't opt for buffet as we were not very hungry and opted for a la-carte. The waiter was very disappointed and kept pursuing us to go for buffet. When we firmly told him no he noted down our order. The dishes we ordered:
1. Butter Chicken ( it had some fancy name in their menu makhanwala murgh): PATHETIC!! I mean who serves butter chicken in a tomato gravy with tikka pieces in it!!!
2. Paneer Lababdar: It was edible as this was the only option we had after that tasteless chicken.
3. Dum Chicken Biryani: Awesome!! This was one dish that I would recommend to have if one ever goes to this restaurant.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go this restaurant as it has nothing extra ordinary and has nothing amazing to offer. I would rather to go Barbecue Nation which is opposite and have 1000 times tastier food for same amount. This place is totally not worth the money. The service is damn slow too. Took them 15 minutes to just get our bill.

Not worth the money

We ,a group of 6 visited this place on a friday afternoon for a lunch buffet for 399+taxes. The place was so very crowded, they served the cold palak soup after repeated reqyests. While most of the dish containers were empty waiting to be refilled ,the choice for vegetarians not great . There was no place to stand and serve our food.We were made to wait for the desserts which was disappointing with beetroot halwa, keer and jamoon . The staff was irritating to say the least, interrupting us for every 5 mins if we want to order any drink etc.
Definitely not worth 440 bucks!!

Taste of Spoiled Meat

We went for team lunch to this restaurant on Oct/11/2011. Lunch was not good, Mutton curry was terribly bad (Meat was spoiled/rotten), Even chicken items were not good. Only veg and dessert were good. Restaurant is costly and not worth, quality is not good, Will never visit again. Bye.

Surprisingly OK

A very bad traffic experience for a proper lounging mood led to big hunger led to us just eat at whatever was next to us. We were expecting the most ordinary food, but it was just a little above that. The decor is much better than the old one but ordinary to any other Indian restaurant.
For the food, the starters were decent, one dish the 'hara mattar sheekh kebab' was outstanding, new to the palate and respect to that dish. Others not so much.
For the Main course, everything is just simple and ordinary but the breads are really very good. Their special Rampur roti(I hope thats the name) was amazing. They will recommend the rampur yellow dal but thats just regular heavy on garlic daal.
The chicken biryani was high on the number of pieces (around 6-7) but poor on taste.
As for the service, its pretty good and was appreciated.

Dont make this one a planned night, but people near the place might just like it for a regular Indian food outing.

Nice place decent food

Had been here recently. Typical northindin restaurant. The menus are not extensive. There is no menu card for the mocktails though they give you a virgin mary. The food is decent and palatable and in good quantity. pretty crowded. We ordered alacarte though buffet was there. overall a nice place to eat
