cold food

cold food but the spread was good
not worth the cost!
When complained about the cold food , the food was microwaved and served
which was undesirable
The food tasted like prepared in afternoon and served for dinner.
The veg buffet is 700Rs which is totally not worth it.
The Paneer tasted stale.
The best part was the valet parking.
Not a tasteful experience overall.

Ultimate Buffet

Everyone kept talking about how wonderful Chutney Chang is. I had to see for myself, so I went. And I tried their buffet. Yummy sea food, especially the prawn. They have interesting dishes, and you will love them all.. Totally worth a visit.

Avoid this place!

Definitely one of the worst places that I’ve been to in Bangalore. I had the misfortune of visiting this place in Jayanagar yesterday! Being the start of the new year, my husband and me decided to make reservations before heading out to this place. This place has the buffet arrangements on both the 1st floor and the 3rd floor. The 1st floor looks decent enough. But, the 3rd floor has the look of a wedding reception buffet hall! A friend of mine had mentioned this earlier. Needless to say, I made the reservation for 8 and confirmed it with the staff that the reservation was for 1st floor. The person I spoke to mentioned that they have a special buffet, it being a new year and all! BTW, the buffet charges was 750/- per head!

The entire drama began once we entered the place. To start with the entire place was quite filled. So, when I went in and checked for my reservation. They asked me to wait for 10 min. After which, they tell me that the 1st floor is full and the only availability is in the 3rd floor and they took me there. The entire 3rd floor looked much worse than I imagined! I mean, it entirely had the look of a Indian Wedding Reception Buffet Hall!! Rows and Rows of tables and Chairs laid out for people to sit, finish their dinner in 20min and get out! We decided that this was definitely not the place to have the dinner! Especially after paying 700 odd bucks for a meal! So, I told the person who got me to the 3rd floor that I didn’t wish to have my dinner here and to check if something is available in the 1st floor. We were told to wait for 20-30 min if we wanted something in the 1st floor.

The husband and me were contemplating if we should wait or just go somewhere else. Now, here is when Mr Shivaram (one of the Manager’s of this place) walks in. We go to him and check with him if we could have something in 1st floor since we didn’t prefer the 3rd floor. He tells us that we probably have to wait for a minimum of 45 min or so! I have no clue on how he arrived at this time since someone from his own staff had told me to wait for 20-30min couple of min back! Anyways, I mention that I had reservations for the 1st floor and what was the whole logic behind making reservations if someone had to wait for 45 min? I told him that you shouldn’t be accepting reservations if you can’t accommodate. The response to this is, “we can’t refuse reservations. We will lose customers otherwise!”. I’ve never heard such an absurd comment! I mean, if you can’t cater or accommodate customers, then what is the entire use of taking up reservations!!

Well, I do understand that on special days, most of the eateries are full and the staff has lot on hand. I would have probably waited for 15-20 min or walked away without a bother if the response from the staff was courteous. The thing that got me mad was the way these guys treat you. Being rude is an understatement. This person was worse than that. Being in hospitality business, if this is the attitude one has, god help them!

I don’t care if this place serves gold on your plate to eat. If the service is so pathetic, I wouldn’t go back to this place ever.

Nice Food but not up to expectations

The food is decent.... few things which i liked were Amritsari dal...Methi Mutter Malai... Chat was good. The disappointing was d soup... felt like having starch, it worse than at road side...
Dessert were good.... the roti were cold... if the staff had kept an eyes n closed d container thy wuld hav been hot...
But all said n done for Rs 500 not a bad deal.... Hope to see improved service next ... :)
