Come here when you have no option
This place is not bad. But it is not good either. We had gone there on a Saturday night. Since we were just two, they didnt allow us to sit outside in the terrace lounge. And the indoor sitting is just lifeless and dull. The music was soporific and took all our spirits away. Wasn't impressed by the food either, except that it was value for money. If Toit is full, you might wanna try this.
Cool place with amazing Happy Hours
Hidden amongst the hustle bustle of 100 ft Road, Indiranagar, is this cozy and cool pub that serve Happy Hours all through the week and has a large variety of food on the menu.
The Chilli Mushrooms and Jalapeno Poppers and super yummy and the staff is very friendly.
All in all a fun casual place to hang with your best buds on any regular day.
Pleasantly surprised :)
Like a true Indian, have almost a genetic liking for discounts and thus have become a big fan of the recent wave of 'bulk buying websites'. It is also a low-risk method of trying out new places. Checked out Doff few days back, as part of one such deal.
Location : Located on the 3rd floor of the building, on 100 Feet Road, close to the CMH Road junction and KFC, opp. Peter England / People / Wills Lifestyle stores. Ample parking space is available on the 9th & 10th Main roads, adjacent to the building.
Ambience : One look at Doff and it seems like a wonderfully designed place. Witty one-liners on the walls (even in the loo), well appointed bar, long bar counter, tall tables and seating in the middle, comfortable lounge seating at the sides, good 'live' music. An entire wall facing the bar becomes a screen on match days (football) and events. But the most amazing part is the open air seating. Separated by a glass wall, are 8-10 odd tables, each having a different type of seating and the view is serene : busy 100 feet road, almost invisible under the tall and green trees, Namma Metro not so far away. We sat at one of the corners, tall table and chairs, and the view :) The 'outside' seating also has a large LCD and the glass wall keeps the bar visible and not so distant ;)
Drinks : As part of the deal, were served pitchers (Foster's), well chilled. Apparently, they now serve KF too. The menu has all that you could ask for : Liquors, beer, wine, etc. I also did notice a Green / Blue Label (sorry, was too over-whelmed by its presence to remember :P ) in the collection.
Food : The chicken and veg starters were good. What interested me more were the 'combos'. We ordered one veg curry + roti and one Chinese chicken gravy + egg fried rice. They were both delicious and filling, quantity was ample. Needless to say we cancelled our dinner plans.
Value for money : Both the drinks and the foods are standard priced (as much as any another 'regular/weekend' pub in and around Brigade Rd or Koramangala). Given the ambience, drinks and food, I would say Doff is definitely value for money.
Overall : Hidden Find - to sum it all up. See you soon :)
