Empire Restaurants are dotted all across the city. Though new branches seem to be opening frequently, it is in no way indicative of popularity or great food. At best, it's a place one visits when - you've run out of options or don't want to spend much on a meal or at late-nights (which is what it is famous for !!!).
Not many know this but most dishes are actually prepared in their central kitchen and then shipped over to their branches where they are given final touches when the customer places an order. So much for freshness and quality !!
Empire offers a mix of Kerala, North Indian & Arabic cuisines. Their popular items from my observations seem to be Biriyani, Ghee Rice, Thalis, Kabab, Grilled Chicken, Butter Chicken, Brain Fry & Ran. Some items are decent while others are avoided.
Their Shawarma Roll is ordinary, items like Dosa-Chicken or Idli-Chicken are a daylight robbery. No VFM and the chicken curries in these dishes are full of bones (every time this has happened), like leftovers given to stray dogs. They also have juices, shakes and stuff with the Arabian Pulp Grape juice being quite decent.
All-in-all a place visited only under dire circumstances. It's decent yet not worth your time otherwise.
