My palate Loves This Place

My liking for Continental cuisine landed me to Freska. Every dish that's on their menu is worth the try. My favorite has to be the Crumb supremo with herbed rice. As the dish was nearing my table, I could smell the freshness of rice tingling my taste buds. That is the power of food and that is how a restaurant has to be according to me. Every dish you eat, should double your appetite and this place scores a cent percent in that. Go and treat yourself to the freshness of Freska.

everytime freska gets better and better

Great place to eat continental! Vegetarians, don't worry, they serve wonderful vegetarian food too! Within budget, and one of the best restaurants I've been to till date. One of those underrated ones. Trust me, a lot of pricier upscale restaurants don't come up to even half this taste.

undiscovered gem

There are places that everyone knows and then there are hidden gems. This is in the latter category.
This is a place that we go to by default when we have too many choices or none. It is a house converted to a restaurant. The food is tasty and makes you come back. The service of late has become slow. Their delivery is prompt though.

Decent food

This is a decent place to eat at on a day you are too tired for a loud place. Its calm and the food is decent as well. I love the lemon celery soup they served. It was refreshing. The first time i visited, the pasta was cooked well with the right amount of sauce . However, the second time I was there, the pasta was laden with sauce and a little over cooked but I am told excess sauce appeals to most Indian Palettes. So it is a change that was probably effected after much feedback. I am sure if requested, the amount of sauce can be reduced. I agree with Umesh 111 above that the fish portions especially are small. I have not ordered a chicken main course or entree yet, so I cannot comment on that but I found that the fish steak I ordered had very tiny pieces of fish . One was cooked perfectly , while the other was ever so slightly underdone. But overall a really nice place to go to as the taste is more or less spot on. Food tasted good but these are minute gripes I had.
The service left a little more to be desired as we had to stand up from our table every single time we needed their attention. This was probably because we were seated outside and out of view but if it is difficult to pay attention to table outside, perhaps it makes sense to serve food only inside or such...This made out dining experience the second time around a bit of a pain.

Thanks for the response Mr. Karanam. Perhaps it can be made clear that food will not be served there. We did not get any indication that food wouldn't be served outside. A lot of places have this specification and we personally wouldn't have had a problem sitting in the dining area if suggested. Besides, if you are being considerate enough to serve outside as people insist, I think this consideration can be extended to service as well....

Freska Sahakarnagar

This is a nice place to be. Love the food and lot of menu options.
Only concern is if they could deorderize(family of vegetarians :)) the place and so cant fully enjoy the food because of the sea food odour that remains. Hope something would be done about that(And then I would give a 5 star rating).
And would be nice if there was home delivery also.

One of our fav places

We have been regulars to Freska for close to a year now and I must say that this is the place to go to for delicious food. Every dish ordered till date has been superb. Definitely try the stuffed chicken pasta, chicken steak, crumb supremo with herb rice...and for a simple yet satisfying dish try the baked vegetables or the lasagna.....you will not be disappointed. A meal for 2 would cost around Rs. 500 and it is definitely worth it!!

Fresh-Ka

This is what it should have been called. I had visited this place after a tiring day at work and no mood to cook. The Soup was refreshing, the dim lit ambiance was peaceful and calm. The herbs in the soup brought back my energy. we ordered Mushaka....pls check menu card for the correct spelling. Food was heavy and yummy. They play good music and the hosts are warm. Complete value for money.

Try it for some good food

Me and my friend wanted to try a new place for dinner and we found Freska on burrp! we went there for dinner last night and I must say, we made the right choice! Food was awesome, decor is nice, prices are worth. Give it a try. The only complaint I have is that the soup was served boiling hot and we had to wait long for it to cool down :(

First Visit, a pleasant one

Located on the 80 Ft. Rd, RMV Ext., it is one of the very few places with a good ambience in the neighbourhood. The ambience exudes a very calm serene feel. It was my first time there, and I enjoyed my experience.
The staff appears to be friendly.
The service wasn't very quick.
Mushaka(I'm not sure how its spelt) was delicious!
Quantity is sufficient
I'm definitely coming here again.

:)
Cheers!

Great Pasta

I went to Freska with family on a saturday evening and I should say I was more than happy with the food I had. I loved the pasta they served and I would say it is one of the best pastas I have had in Bangalore. Freska has a very interesting menu and all of us enjoyed every single item we ordered. From the outside Freska might look like a very small place, but try their food and you will know they are very very good!

Indeed a great experience.

I frequent this place with my boyfriend either for dinner or lunch. The service is really good and the staffs are very helpful. It's a romantic experience and relaxing as most of the time their choices of songs are really good. We enjoy our food while listening to good music. Moosa-la-lemoosi (fish/chicken) is great (my boyfriend prefer fish). It comes with rice, fish and veg. The sauce is so unique! You can try Stuffed Chicken with Pasta too. Simply delicious! It's Malaysian noodle is also nice (try the spicy one, superb!). My favorite also include Freska salad. The veges are so fresh and crunchy. This place is a must try. The price is also very reasonable. They do have free delivery for more than rs250 order.

p/s try their cheesy balls too (forget your diet yar ;)

lousy portions

i got 4 2 rupee coin sized fish pieces in my entree. there was generous amounts of sauce in the dish to buff up the portions. very disappointed.

I am sorry - I take it back. this was chicken...my mistake. i hope this clarification makes it clear for those reading this. sorry to cause the misunderstanding, i could brainstorm a little more if you would like me name the exact entrees.
i however stick with my point of portions being miniscule. we ate dinner here some 6 to 7 months back. i usually write my reviews within a week of dining somewhere. your restaurant didn't have an entry on burrp back then.
w.r.t: writing a false review - please take the time to read my other reviews.

Good pasta, quick service

After having a disastrous experience (see earlier review) at Neel which is right opposite this place, our experience at Freska was a pleasant surprise. We went to this place not having a lot of expectations and the ambiance is really misleading. It's got a causal cafe decor but is deceptively spacious. The service was quick and we got our orders in a jiffy. We ordered a lasagna and spaghetti which came with garlic breads. Portions were medium sized and should satiate your appetite (unless you have a really large one)

As for the food, the lasagna was nice with the bechamel and the cheese being the right consistency. The spaghetti we had with alfredo sauce which was sightly bland (though they did put this on the menu) but very nice none the less. I've heard good things about the 3 pesto sauce as well. We ended up paying 450 for a meal for two, which we felt was quite good for the quality of the food.

Overall this is a great discovery and hope people do frequent it more...
