2Blue - Tribute To Guns N Roses Aug 28

  • 94.3 Radio One presents Tribute to Guns N Roses by 2Blue. 2Blue is the original madman of Indian rock. With a vocal range of over three and a half octaves, he has been leaving audiences spellbound for over a decade. Always a man for his heroes, he attributes his vocal prowess to the inspiration of David Coverdale, Joe Lynn Turner, Ian Gillan, and of course Axl Rose. This time, he is bringing Shannon Pereira and Partho Dasgupta on guitars, Joel Crasto on keyboards, Chirayu Vedekar on bass, and Shiksha Bali on drums to whet your appetite for destruction. Be warned. This ain't for the faint-hearted.

Girish and The Chronicles - Live Sep 04

  • Contrabands presents Girish and The Chronicles (GATC). Girish and The Chronicles is an Indian hard rock/heavy metal band from Gangtok, which was formed in 2009 by Girish Pradhan. Presently based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, GATC is a four-member band known for their electrifying live shows. Their music has been heavily influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden and Guns and Roses. GATC have been touring the country and overseas for more than 5 years now, although the line-up has existed since 2006. After releasing numerous singles online since 2009, the band will be releasing their first official album in June 2014 under Universal Music Group. They are known for their peculiar classic hard rock/heavy metal sound, which has been influenced from the bands of the '70s and the '80s. Moreover, GATC are the first and only band from Sikkim to ever have performed overseas and toured on a national scale. Their original compositions don't have many limitations and cover subjects ranging from day-to-day struggles and wars to relations and the band's onstage/backstage/offstage rock and roll band experiences. With a mixture of power ballads and their hard rock sound, they have appealed to people who want to hear a sound that is closer to the '70s and the '80s.
