Pathetic To The Core..Total Disaster
I have never written any review for any restaurant but i'm forced to write one here..
Heera is a Pathetic place... food is awful .. Poor Service .. highly priced...TOTAL DISASTER...You order something and expect something else.. Waiters have no idea what they are serving...AC does not work and all they have is a big fan which is of no use !! And you get a good sleeping time before the food is delivered... All together dimag karab kar diyaaa..DO VISIT THIS PLACE WITH ANY ONE ONLY IF YOU WANT TO TAKE REVENGE ON THEM!!!
Ugly, Useless and pathetic
This place is a total disaster. We went there for team lunch and it turned out to be disaster.
Firstly, the staff was not there when we reached. No one to listen to. Then they told us, that the just kitchen had just started so it'll take another 30 mins to get anything.
After that the 2 starters that came were horrible, both of them half cooked and one of the veg starters, was smelling and stale. Then the crockery, plain water glasses were smelling.
They term themselves as bar & restaurant, but when you ask for liquor they'll say, we don't serve it here.
So we had to leave from there and go to Punjabi Times next to it. Nothing great about it, but much better then Heera.
This place should be banned and closed. Won't even recommend to any one looking for a casual outing forget having a good time spent.
A/cs are not working, they have one big fan that's it. Never ever go to this pathetic place and get disappointed
We've been here before and have recommend this place to all our relatives. The tasty food and the pleasant atmosphere to chill out. A really big place for our kids to play around. The mutton biryani, the murg malai kofta and the vinegar onions and chutney and jamoon all keep us going here often.
Pathetic service and average food!!!
I visited Heera on the 14th of Feb. I decided this place after hearing that it was from the same group as that of Ruh. I had visited Ruh sometime back and had loved its ambience and service.
We were a group of 10 friends and I knew all the restaurants would be crowded as it was Valentines day, so had booked for a table before hand. I got a confirmation that my table would be available by 9:15pm.
One of my friends reached the place early (by 9:00pm) so I asked him to check with the manager for the table. I was surprised when I got a call from my friend who was informed by the manager that he has no records of the booking. As soon as O reached the place (around 9:10pm) I went to the manager and told him and showed him the number on which I called and booked. To which he said that he had just received the booking (it was already 9:15pm). He asked us to wait for 10mins to arrange a table. He also told us that the booking was communicated late to him as his colleague in Delhi who took the booking and forgot to inform!!! We waited outside for 10mins but no one at Heera had the courtesy to come and call us inside. So I had go inside again to check, the table was still not arranged. When I spoke to the manager he said he is getting it arranged. So, finally by 9:35pm we got the table. We settled down and waited for someone to come and take the order. We waited for around 15mins but no one even came to our table. So we had to go and check with one of the supervisors to come and take the order. Even after 10 mins still no one came to take the order. So, we had to go again to check. Finally by around 10:10PM someone took the order. We ordered a few drinks and starters. For a good 15 we did not get anything. It was close to an hour since we got the table but not even the drinks were served. Everyone in the group seemed to be getting impatient so, again had to go to the supervisor to enquire about the food. Finally at around 10:40PM got the drinks and the starters served!!! It was a good 1 hour and 25mins from the time we reached to the time we got our first serving! Pathetic! We did not want to take any chances later, so ordered 15 rotis and 3 curry as soon as the drinks and starters were served. By around 11:15pm got the batch of rotis (5 rotis cut into half) and the curry. Then around 15 mins later got the second batch of rotis. We had to remind about the 3rd batch of rotis which we got pretty soon in about 10mins as post 11:30PM and not many customers were present. By around 11:45pm we had to ask for the finger bowls which took another 10mins to come. The finger bowls had cold water instead of warm water. Did not even bother to check why the water was cold after the pathetic service. The only thing that we got soon was the bill which came in 5mins! Finally by the time we left it was almost 12 in the midnight. The dinner which was to take an hour or a max of 90 mins took almost 3 hours. It was one of the worst service, I dont even want to talk about the food. The ambience was the only good thing amidst all the chaos.
I would not recommend anyone to this restaurant!
An year and not much has changed
Last February I visited Heera and besides the food I did not find anything good. After an year I visited the place yesterday with an hope that things must have improved by now (as if you see my previous review you can see assurances from the management). Anyway when I get there I was welcomed by the same empty hall with less customers and more waiters.
We ordered one starter and main course which comprised of naan, khameeri roti, rara murg and murg dum biryani. I appreciate the quality of food, it was really delicious. But the service was below average. And the best part was there was a big rat to give us company. One of the staff saw the rat and I saw him watching entire incident that rat crossed over our legs. He went into the kitchen and did not come out. I asked another staff about this and he gave a completely indifferent reaction, as if it was a normal course for them.
Anyways, my only advice to the management is your food is already good and delicious. But you really need to improvise on service and hygiene if you want a good customer base.
Really Good Place
went there with my family for the first time and was amazed to find such a nice place just around the corner. The food served here is also just as amazing as the good service. The waiters are really quick on their toes and bring you what you ask for as soon as possible. We had a great time and my wife promised that we return every week here on sunday evenings for dinner. The price too is really cool on the purse, because the food is really delicious and good, the murg biryani and mutton biryani with the raita makes your mouth water and you feel you want to return there again and again the next day. Overall i have given it five stars because of the soft music, the parking and service and ambience everything was amazing
Nice food. Substandard and tacky interior
The food is nice, but very expensive.
The ambience is actually quite bad. Really bad lighting, worsened by broken lights. The interior has been modeled to have a Mughal feel, but the cheap, over the top decor makes it all look bad. Really really cheap interior design.
Another thing that we noticed was how dusty everything was, chairs, tables, even the plates!
The waiting staff fumbled around being awkward. They are eager to serve you, but are just too clumsy to pull it off.
I'm still giving it 3* because the lamb dum biryani I had was really nice.
Mughal E Azam
The ambiance of the place is superb and as you enter this place, you will have a good first impression but it will last till you order the food. The service is slow and should be improved. The food is tasty too but the major disappointment is price. Its too high and you may feel cheated. The place should be visited once but not again just because of price
Excellent Abmience, very costly, ugly maintainance
Hi went to this place on a sunday night at about 9:00 PM, food was good but definitely not worth the amount we pay. for three people with just minimum drinks( two people having 2 pegs of RC.. thats it ..total 4 large RC) and two rice items and two starters the bill came upto 2500 Rs/- which is a little exorbitant if you ask me. and the worst part is the maintainance.. the floors are extremely dirty... and dont get me started on restroom.. restroom are like if not worse than public restrooms.. they are disgusting,, yuck!! while the lightining in the entire hotel is so amazing that you hardly notice the cleanliness of the place.. its really really bad. but except that the place is good
I must say that the over-the-top decor is probably the only good thing in this restaurant. The food wasn't anything to boast about and neither were the drinks. It was the service that was a HUGE turn off though...our waiter had no clue about their own food and drinks and service was very slow. It took almost an hour for us to get our main course and the place wasn't even fully packed... Wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. And we are certainly not going back!
We were taken aback by the classic interiors and then again by the tasty food and good service. Soft classical music was playing as we walked and found couples seated in the corners of the restaurant. The interior lights kept changing from red to green and blue. As I entered I was thinking well this is the place for me and my family if we want to spend quality time together. I would say the ambience is more royal than anything else. This place puts you in the Raja and Rani days. Not just that but tasty food like the Malai Kofta, dal tadka, mutton kheema, Murg ka Sula, Karare bhindi, Sukhi daal and Nasheeli Champen and Biryani. Lovely starters, delicious main course and mouth watering jamoon with ice cream. Our kids too had fun playing with wooden swords. This one is a giant with first class Food, Service, Music, parking facilities. Heera is a must visit if your staying in Bangalore.
Visit if you want to throw away time and money
I had never heard of this place, but wanted to give it a try based on the reviews on the net. I went through the first 4 or 5 of the reviews and decided to give it a shot. I will get to the lessons learnt a little later, but I am dying to first review and rate this place.
The restaurant has a unique ambience and you will be quite surprised as soon as you step in. It has chandeliers, beads and all the "royal" stuff going on. Not sure if you will be impressed, but you would sure be surprised. What comes as more suprising is the food, the quality of it, the taste of it. We had gone in on a Sunday afternoon during peak lunch time and had ordered Ghosth Dum Biryani and Paneer Mutter, along with some parathas/naans. Everything that came in was close to terrible, we had to literally down it with the help of beverages, which were also quite poor. There was a thick sediment at the bottom of the glass for one of the jal jeera types drinks I had ordered, lassi was somewhat better. The rotis were dry, and worst of all, the restaurnt was "out of stock" for phulkas and rumali rotis, the two most often ordered breads in any North Indian restaurant. The lamb biryani was a dud, with no fresh flavors to it. The paneer curry, was like one of those out-of-the-packet instant paneer curries (I have never tasted one, but I have feeling they would taste like this) - only the paneer cubes were soft, the gravy was terrible.
To nicely finish off the turmoil, we get a bill for 1100/-, for ordering two entries and two drinks, with 2 rotis. (no starters or soups or desserts). I don't think I have ever paid 60-70 bucks for a single piece of paratha or roti at a restaurant of this quality. What an awful experience overall.
1. When researching for restaurants on burpp, or similar sites, go through all the reviews and skip places which have more than 1 or 2 negative reviews. You never know who is writing what, and it really sucks when you end up deciding on a place going by the top few, or 'latest', reviews.
2. If a restaurant at a decent hot spot in the has one or less customers when you enter it at 1:30 p.m, do not hesitate to look for the exit gate.
We went Heera with two other families for lunch today. we have heard couple of great reviews about the place but we haven't seen much crowd when we entered which was surprise to us, was good for us as we had 3 little kids who were making lot of noise. Three things to highlight, Great staff, very good ambiance and awesome buffet food. There were lot of items really good specially Paneer and Aloo starters. At end, it was really full for us and we had to escape dinner because of the amount of buffet items we had :-D
Really worth to money and great place to come back again...
Good Tasty Food
Enjoyed visiting Heera for the 6th time and as usual we had a great time. The service was pretty fast even though the restaurant was slightly crowded. Dishes that are really tasty and you should try are Murg Dum Biryani, Murg Ka Soola, Dal Tadka, Mix Veg Curry, Ghosht Bhuna, Macchi Masala. Also love their Gulab Jamoon and Mutka Kulfi. Dont mind driving all the way to Heera just for that meal and a relaxed time with family.
Disappointing and Delicious
Yeah Yeah I know my review topic is a bit confusing. So let me explain. I guess this place is own by same group or person, who owned Heera Panna, Church Street. I had been there many times and used to love the ambience and food there. But gradually there quality degraded and liquor stopped and eventually was shut down. I think Heera is also going to have the same fate.
I visited Heera on 17th night for dinner in a group of 6. I found the same nice ambience. Since I already had booked the table so did not have to wait (later on I realised that even being the Friday Night there were just a few customers, we being the forst one to arrive at 8:30 pm). Anyways we were courteously directed to our table and were attended immidiately. We had been given the same Moughul Pagadis, Labada and Wooden Sword (Heera Panna Style).
We had been given the menu to place our order. The menu was itself the disappointment. It was just a collection of print outs placed in a document file. At least the menu should be matching with the theme. Anyways, in starters, I ordered for one Kali Mirch Ka Murg, one Murg ka Shoola, one Ghosht Galauti Kabab. and one Paneer Kurkure. In drinks we ordered for whisky and beer (which is quite expensive there). After some time the person who took order came back said that they dont have Galauti Kabab. So I asked to get one Boti Kabab, which was also not available. Then I asked him whats there in the lamb, Mutton Chops. Then I asked for one Kakori Kabab. We got our drinks after 10 minutes. One of us asked for a coke, which was not there, pepsi, no. Sorry sir we are out of stock. Then he asked what I can have to go with whisky, he said Sprite (WTF). He asked to get it from outside, which thankfully they did. We asked for manager too, which never came. Then the serving guy asked sir would you like the bottle of coke or in glass. We asked for bottle. he came back in 5 mins and said sorry sir we serve only in glass. Dude whats the point in asking then.
After around twenty minutes we got our first starter. No doubt it was delicious. And after every twenty minutes they keep on getting another one. I must say every item was delicious. There was one vegeterian person with us. He waited for almost 40 minutes then they got him Paneer Kurkure.
For next round of snacks we ordered for Murg Malmali Kabab and one Ghosht Pather Kabab. Surprise Surprise, Ghosht Pather Kabab was not available. Liver Masala, not available. Again I asked whats available, Mutton Chops. I asked to get one Murg Gilafi and one Paneer Tikka.
Once we were done with starters we ordered for main course - one Paneer Korma, one Chicken Masala and Butter Naans. This time we were served in just 15 mins as there was no one left besides us.
We asked for bill after the main course. After around 20 mins the guy came with the bill. Whoa, just Rs. 9881. When I analysed the, for Murg ka Shoola Rs, 2250 was added instead of Rs. 250. When I asked the person, he was still having doubt that bill was wrong. He took the bill back and came back with all the calculations done on the bill and on a separate blank paper. It was so confusing with all stroke through items and hand made bill. I aske whats the final amout, he went to get one calculator. It was already 11:00 pm and I was tired with all that waiting. So I just asked for the final amount which was just Rs. 6281. I made the payment and left. Oh I forgot to mention that they offerred 60 ml of some not so good drink to each of us to compensate for all the confusion.
In the nut shell, there is no doubt that food is delicious. But they definitely need to improve on service, availability of items which is there on the menu. And yes cleanliness, we had few bugs to give us company on the table. Also they need to learn to serve, as while serving Moorg ka Shoola, masala was dropped in my whisky glass.

We are extremely sorry for what happened. We appreciate your detailed feedback. We have looked into the matter and made the required changes. We would like to invite you to come dine at our restaurant once again. I can personally assure that this will not happen again.

We appreciate your detailed feedback. We have looked into the matter and made the required changes.
We had a huge booking on that night and had run out of the starters you had ordered. The Galauti Kabab requires time to be well cooked and marinated and hence to assure quality, we suggested you choose other starters instead. We had also run out of Pepsi and Coca Cola and were in the process of getting our stock rea dy for the rest of the night. The previous group of 60 people left just before you entered the restaurant. Hence t
Heera Restaurant definately serves up some tasty food, when i visit I never forget to order murg dum biryani, murg ka soola, Murg Tikka Salad, Kakori Kabab and to digest it all the jal jeera. Since the place is close by to our house we have no problem just taking a stroll over there. Oh and we also love their interiors, a must try for all who love food.
Pathetic service and barely passable food
This is another dud from the owners of chandni chowk in koramangala.Somehow all the attributes of that place make its way through here.To read aloud they are :
a) Over the top ambiance.
b) Scant attention towards food.
c) Pathetic service
d) Highly priced - keeping in mind the above three aspects
Now coming straight to the experience ,here is an account of what happened.
The place is decked up as a haveli or some sorts with ornate carving ,chandeliers and blinged up chairs curtains etc.Almost a la Jalsa in Marathalli , guess the same guys are behind restaurant too.
Once settled we cluelessly wait for someone to come and take our orders, but in vain. After waving frantically to waiters one of them comes to our rescue and hands us over a menu card. The menu is a plastic folder with printouts of the items on menu.Clearly no where in sync with the ambiance.
The round of waving continues until we catch someones attention and place our orders which goes something like this .
1.Tamatar Dhaniya shorba - Some sort fo watery sweet gravy with absolutely no fresh flavors to boast of.Rating for the taste shall be 1/5
2.Murg Achari Tikka - (approx 300/-) - What we got was 8 decent sized morsels of unevenly cooked kababs. On one hand, few were very rubbery and undercooked and a couple of others were charred. For 300/- a plate in a fine dining establishment this is certainly not what anyone would expect.
3.Murg Gilafi Kabab - (300/-) - These were fine from the point of view of being cooked adequately. Why were they coated with bits of bell peepers leaves me amused.Take was passable.
4.Palak Murg - (300/-) - Perhaps this is the only dish which saved them from getting a 1 star as it turned out to be the only decent food we had there. The palak gravy was thick and overtly salty. The taste though was good and we were able to polish is off with the rotis ordered.
5.Rotis/Nans - The rotis and nans are very highly priced .A tandoori roti goes by 40/- and it is 60 - 75 for a single nan.The Baluchistan nan, which was supposed to be filled with keema can actually be passed on to a vegetarian and it tastes nothing different that some dal/masala filled paratha. The texture of keema is non existent.
Summary - I do understand that it is humane to goof up on a single day and would have been considerate with the ratings. But this is purely a case of putting in less though and deliberation and more of taking the customer for granted.Only one thing is in tune with a proper fine dining establishment and that is the price. The waiters are inept , there is no process of feedback. The way the waiters serve the food is amusing to put it mildly.Sample this : we were asked to have the starters on the side plate ,just because he forgot to put the bigger plates. I can go on with my rant, but it genuinely irks me to see places doing brisk business even after taking customers for such a ride.
Delicious Food, Good Ambience
A great experience of Fine dining. The food is excellent here and quite reasonable too (food for 4 people with couple of beers @ 2500). We tried both Veg and Non-veg starters and entrees and we had finger-lickacious experience .....Recommend the Mutton Biryani too. Good stuff.
If there was a gripe, its those over-sized tables - makes you feel that people across the table are across the room :-)
Don't miss this place!
The makers of Heera restaurant have definitely put some effort into it and the final product is amazing. I really love it. A beautifully created place, mouthwatering food, pleasant music and a nice place to hangout with family and friends. A must try for all restaurant visitors.
TASTY KHEEMA MUTTER
The moment I stepped in I said my god what a restaurant, the ambience, its magical and really litup. But thats not all about the restaurant its more about the food and the drinks served there. Value for money is there but slightly on the higher side. The restaurant is on the top floor and one has to take the lift to get there. I would suggest one should go with family for an evening of music and entertainment. Some of their dishes are really special though im a simple eater and prefer food without too much masala. But these are some of the dishes you should give it a try Diwani Handi comes with a mix of vegetables and tasty, Ghosht Dum Biryani made with basmati rice has a garlic flavour to it and also try their Kheema Mutter made with minced lamb, green peas that really tasty
Here is one place to really enjoy yourself and get 100% satisfaction for your money with good tasty healthy food and wine. I too my wife and kids there for the first time and they really enjoyed themselves. I also seen a lot of crowds there when I enquired from the captain he said they were the corporate crowd from near by software companies. You must try the murg dum biryani, murg ka soola, Hari Mirch Mushroom, Dal Tadka are all tasty dishes which they prepare very well.
This is the one place I was searching for I think all my life where the food is really good, service is excellent. Im really glad I found this place after reading about the restaurant in the newspapers. Now I visit the place often with my family and relatives, we usually select a saturday or sunday to go there and its better to call and book a table because the place is usually crowded during the weekend. I have given it five stars that because the food, drinks, ambience, service, parking, music everything is excellent. The ambience is one of a kind I think you dont find easily in Bangalore atleast.
They had a nice idea but the execution is poor.
First and basic issue: food is awful. we ordered bharma khumb, dal afghani, paneer korma, murg makhani, which were all disappointments. these are basic items and you cannot afford to go wrong here.
Second: cleanliness. The booth we sat in had a discarded chocolate wrapper on the floor besides all the dirt marks. clearly, it had not been cleaned after lunch.
Third, "the ambiance setting music": in the one and a half hours it took us to have a meal there, they managed to show videos on the big screen, remove the videos and play only songs, change the volume repeatedly, change the type of music they were playing, etc. they were primarily playing latest bollywood songs, the kind u hear at mcdonald's rather than what you would expect to hear in a theme restaurant.
Fourth: the staff is courteous but the service is very slow. we were first served the veg starter, then after 15 mins the non veg starter (when we reminded them that they seem to have forgotten all about it) and then 20 mins later the main course.
Fifth: we got a pretty big bill for a tacky unclean place that serves bad food.
If you are interested in clicking pictures in costumes which are being worn by lots of other people and posting them on fb, you might enjoy the place. if you are interested in eating good food, stay away.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We had just opened our restaurant when you came for a visit. We were facing plenty of operational issues then.We do understand that instances like these affect a restaurant's reputation to a great extent and there is no excuse for the mistakes made. However, we would like to invite you to come dine at our restaurant once again and try the Bharma Khumb,Dal Afghani, Paneer Korma,Murg Makhani and other dishes. We assure great food, a clean restaurant, good music and a bill which won't m
Heera is the one place we were looking for. Its the kind of place that instantly transports you to happiness to say in a single word. Lights changing colours from red to green to pink and blue and soft romantic hindi songs playing in the back ground. All in all its stunning, dazzling and the effect is magic. Very very good and tasty, delicious food adds to the satisfaction one can get from the place here. Polite and well spoken waiters adds to the excellent touch. This is the one and only place I would recommend you to visit if your in Bangalore.

Awesome Food, Awesome Ambience, Very good Service!
Got to know of this place just 2 weeks back and already been there twice.
First time just to see and try the place... cause in blr its almost always better to be careful before trying out a new restaurant.. So lemme begin..
1. Ambience - Very Mughal-E-Azam style... very different, a huge table in the centre of the place and the smaller enclosures for cozy family dinners... totally lit up with Chandeliers and beaded curtains... Takes u back to a bygone era....
A Huge LCD screen where all old Mughal-e-Aza, style hindi songs will be playing and when they played Rekha dancing to "In Ankho Ke Masti" .. it almost feels like she is dancing right in front of u.. the ambience so well matches these songs..
2. Food - Since this was our first visit we didnt want to order anything and everything. On the Chef's recommendation we ordered one chicken kabab non spicy for my kid and then a Mutton Starter called " Nasheeli Chaampei"
The dish was amazing... never tasted anything like that till date...been to so many restaurants both standalone as well as five stars but this starter is out of this world.. A must try...
We also ordered Chicken Biryani which was good n authentic
3. Service - The staff were very courteous and helpful.
4. Value for Money - Very much...reasonable...
And last week we had a 12 member bday party there with their fixed table served buffet in the private family enclosures...
A dinner buffet priced at 550/- has both veg and non veg soup, 4 veg and 4 non veg starters, Indian breads, 4 veg and 4 non veg dishes, veg and chicken biryani and 3 desserts.
Perfect place to host parties... and the best thing just next to home...
A must try for all living in and around BTM Layout, Bannerghatta Rd, Shoppers Stop, Gopalan Mall, Jayanagar, Koramangala, JP Nagar etc...
