I had been to this place couple of times and my uncle has got lot of take aways. Owners are lovely but quite sensitive people.
THe menu has chinese with varieties of Manchurian Scezhwan and Peking dishes but the starters and other main course has most of Japanese and Thai influence.
Desserts are common in most of foreign and overseas diners in Bangalore.

Miserly portioned, slightly above average food, at considerably above average prices, served in a confined space desperately trying to look like AromasMLC. Disappointing to say the least, especially since some of the reviews for this joint led me to believe I'd be eating food worthy of being served to the Ming emperors.
The "buffet" is a set menu served on the table. I browsed through it and saw a lot of vegetable manchurian and vegetable noodles and vegetable rice and vegetable in white sauce and veg dimsum and veg blah blah. In fact i noticed just one non veg starter and one non veg main. Most tables seem to have opted for it and the food looked like mass produced, cornfloury tripe. Priced at 700 all inclusive - you've gotta be freaking kidding me!! I'm not a huge MLC buffet fan but for heaven's sake this is a small standalone joint charging 40% more with 50% fewer items.
I had a foreboding sense that we should just walk out and eat somewhere else but the A la Carte menu looked varied and interesting.
Now, I'd called ahead and booked a table for 4. Of course the table wasn't ready, and we were asked to wait near the entrance despite the restaurant being only about 60% full. There were at least three 6 seater tables ready but of course we weren't offered those. The hostess then did something that annoys the hell out of me - Sir you have a reservation in the name of "Rohit", uh no "Mohit". Fine dining establishment my a**. The name's Horit - reading and writing well weren't on the menu either apparently.
I lack the patience or the drive to write reviews for overrated places like Hunan, but I'll do a run through of the dishes we ordered to elaborate on my frustration with the place:
Seafood Tom Yum: High on the fish sauce, low on the tang, small shrimps. Poor execution of a great soup Rs. 195++ (Score: 3/5)
"King Prawns" Pepper Garlic : 6-7 pieces of the smallest prawns in the sea. I was stunned by how lousy the portion size was, not to mention the size of the prawns. Rs. 495++ !!!! The garlic and pepper tasted like garlic and pepper. (2.5/5)
Pork Spare Ribs Barbecue Style : People who rave about this dish are either easily impressed or haven't really had ribs before. 4 Tiny ribs with a small amount of meat clinging to it in an overseasoned, cloying BBQ Sauce. The saving grace was the shreds of meat were soft. Rs. 400 (3/5)
Chicken Legs of some kind in the aforementioned BBQ Sauce aka Hong Kong Style.Thankfully there were 4 medium sized chicken legs. Tasted like a toned down version of the ribs. Rs 350 (3.5/5)
Crackling Spinach with Chicken : Crackled spinach was well made, the chicken was standard sweet, spicy slices. Rs 300 (3/5)
Chilly Lemon Basil Chicken : It had the 3 flavors , sliced chicken. Small Portion size as usual. Rs 300 - 350. (3/5)
The appetizers were disappointing, and of course I get pissed off when I see restaurants trying moneygrubbing tactics and underportioning food.
3 mushroom fried rice: Where were the effin mushrooms ?? For chrissakes Hunan you're charging me Rs 300 for a bowl of vegetarian fried rice. You think you could add 5 more pieces of mushroom ?? Mildly flavoured, with no visible vegetables other than shreds of spring onion. (2.5/5)
Chicken with Oyster Mushroom in ... some sauce.. probably Oyster. More of the sterile sliced chicken and capsicum dices in a yellow brown sauce. I ate the same at Chung Wah for half the price. Rs 350. (3/5)
Chicken Penang Curry with Jasmine Rice : THANK GOD for this dish, I might have murdered someone if my main course turned out to be an epic fail too. I like diced potatoes in my Penang/Massaman curry and they obliged by asking the chef to customize it. The curry arrive in a LARGE clay pot, and I thought it was very well done. Peas, sliced chicken, bamboo shoots, diced potatoes, mushrooms in a great curry sauce. The jasmine rice was more than sufficient for me too, Why oh why did we not skip the starters and just eat some curry with rice.... Anyway, the dish wasn't cheap but I did feel I got VFM. Rs 400++. Skipped dessert. Service was satisfactory and without long delays, but I couldn't get over the feeling that the place was way too cramped and not suited for leisurely fine dining.
The bill for 4: Rs. 4278. That's expensive by any standard, and I can think of at least a dozen places where I'll get better food, better ambience, better service, better portions for less. In fact, I can think of half a dozen places which would cost me the same (or maybe more) and but I'd pay with delight.
I can't recommend this place for anything other than a quick Thai Curry & Rice meal, once or twice a year. Definitely not repeat visit material.
No Home Delivery
I've been a regular here.
I have ordered home delivery from here at least 20 times and I love the food here.
However, for the past 2 days they have been refusing to deliver to Ejipura by saying that their boy is sick. I find it hard to believe that a restaurant's home delivery depends on one guy.. Hope they're paying this guy well.
It is annoying to hear that they can't deliver because the boy is sick.
I will not order from here again.
Please note that the food here is good but very expensive. This is also probably the only restaurant in the world that charges service tax + service charge on the food for home delivery.
I have been faithful and regular to Hunan. But no more.
Disappointing to call twice and hear the same nonsense.
And oh yeah, if you do mention you are from Koramangala, you magically get home delivery. Why don't you just make a blunt statement that you have a customer base now and do not care about losing a few customers from Ejipura.
My search for good Chinese food ends here ...
I was here last evening and this was my second visit - and as last time I wasn't disappointed. For starters we had ordered for chicken lollipop, some chicken starter with spinach (an awesome combination - we were delighted surprised). For the main course also a chicken delicacy with veg fried rice and noodles(best ever had in Bangalore).
However I found the quantity served was very limited ... but that's a personal opinion. I will positively recommend it !
Hunan, Koramangala, is turning out to be one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in town. The first thing that strikes you about this place is the friendly attitude of the staff who are very attentive to the needs of their guests. My husband and I have been to this restaurant at least six or seven times now, so the servers are familiar with us, and go the extra mile to ensure we're having a good time.
The honey duck and the BBQ pork spareribs make for a good pick in appetizers. (I tried the chicken sweet corn soup once. It was surprisingly a letdown, and I haven't tried soup in this place after that.)
The chicken Massaman curry and the Thai red curry (both served with Jasmine sticky rice) are our favourite main course dishes. The roast chicken fried rice is also nice.
Hunan seems to be partial to chocolate-based desserts (who's complaining!), so there're at least five to six different desserts dealing with chocolate. The molten lava cake, that lies on a bed of liquor which is set ablaze, is my absolute favourite. The chilli chocolate mousse is also good. Once, when we were too stuffed to order dessert, the staff surprised us with cotton candy, that they stock on occasion, and is more of a good will gesture towards the kids of patrons.
So, yes, do give Hunan a try! :)
Satisfaction guaranteed at Hunan
I happened to come across Hunan restaurant online in my search for sizzlers. I have visited many restaurants in Bangalore to try sizzlers and wished to give a try at Hunan. Surrounded a dim ambience and a soothing music on the background defined the appearance in Hunan. The waiters received at cordially and offered the recipe book to make the order.The restaurant offered a wide range of options in various vegetarian and non vegetarian categories. Our meal started with Wonton soup and Tom Kha soup. The liquid gravy of the soup offered a balanced taste and the wontons were well cooked. Along with the soup we ordered Chicken red dragon dumplings which was spicy and offered an authentic taste of a Chinese cuisine.Dumplings were well baked and there was no compromise with respect to the stuffing done. Chicken and bean sprout is another must try if you like to have salads prior to the main meal.
We both were truly satisfied with the appetizers: it was time to order the main course. The sizzlers section offered several options for both vegetarian and non vegetarians. A full meal was offered in the sizzlers section which included noodles or rice to the side. I ordered the Chicken combination.
The order arrived much earlier than expected and was well presented. The sizzlers were well cooked and the right mix of sauces gave it a magical taste. The Chicken was well cooked and was very tender that melts in the mouth. Though am not a great fan of sea food, tasting it at Hunan slightly inclined me towards the sea food. The quantity and quality goes hand in hand at Hunan. As a whole we enjoyed the meal and Hunan was successful in making our Saturday a sizzling one with its sizzlers. This restaurant at Koramangala should be tried by all those who enjoy sizzlers.
A great valentine spent at Hunan
Hunan restaurant was told to me by a friend who had a romantic date at the restaurant. As Valentines Day approached, I was looking for a restaurant that houses a good ambiance at affordable cost to spend a quality time with my valentine. Going by my friends suggestion, I decided to visit Hunan which is located at Koramangala.
As the day demanded, Hunan was dressed up according to suit the mood of the valentines day. I was thrilled by the ambiance created by the restaurant and we choose for a corner table beside the large glass window. I and my girlfriend are food freaks and enjoy a good conversation over a sumptuous meal. Hunan had a special valentine's day menu which offered a wide variety of choices in various segments. We ordered a single bowl of Tomato egg drop soup to share to set in the romantic mood. In the appetizer segment we were perplexed by the number of choices offered by the restaurant. However, we went for our favorite drums of heaven and Hunan roast Chilly lamb.The latter choice that we made was suggested by the waiter and was very palatable. The presentation and the professionalism exhibited by the staff are laudable.
Since we enjoy sea food the most, we chose the main course from the sea food section.We had prawns with Chilly Oyster sauce and ordered egg fried rice and Hakka noodles.The gravy tasted fresh and was hot and well served. The quantity offered was sufficient.The size of the prawns and the roast was perfectly done to pamper our taste buds. The dim lighting with candle lights, taste food and my valentine next to me made my day a special one. Wish to visit the restaurant again with my family.
Diversity of cuisine at its best at Hunan
I happened to visit Hunan Koramangala last Sunday for weekend dine out. Discovered this restaurant on burrp.com, going through the reviews was motivated to visit this restaurant. The restaurant is located on the top floor above Costa coffee which is parallel to empire hotel. The ambiance was appealing as told in the reviews and we were cordially invited to the restaurant. Our family of four members which includes my parents, wife and me happened to visit this restaurant.
The menu was handed to us and I was awe struck by the wide variety of cuisines available at the restaurant. The cuisines ranged from Chinese which included Chicken, Duck, Lamb and pork. Added attraction was the sea food segment. There was plethora of options for vegetarians like my parents at the restaurant. We were well assisted by the waiters to make the right choice from the menu. Towards the appetizers we ordered Hunan specials. We went for Hunan Roast Chilly lamb and Hunan sesame Tofu in the vegetarian category. These were new cuisines which I had never tried before and hence was curious to give it a try. The order was served fast and we enjoyed every bit of the starter. The presentation and the mix of spices truly pampered our taste buds and also ignited the fire in our stomach to go for the main course.
The main course also offered many options in both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian category. Just prior to it, we ordered Lahb Gai salad which is a must try at the Hunan restaurant. We went for a spicy serving in the main course by ordering Mixed vegetable in spicy schewan sauce and Roast Pork with red and green chilly gravy. Alongside we ordered Singapore and Hakka noodles, ginger capsicum fried rice. The quantity offered was very filling and we enjoyed our meal to the fullest.
Complete privacy was offered which makes Hunan a good family dine restaurant. Hunan is one of the few hotels in Bangalore that offers true value for your money.
We love the food at hunan
The day was made memorable with our taste buds being exposed to authentic Chinese cuisine at Hunan. My partner and me are ardent fans of Chinese foods and thus venture out across the city in search of good outlets. Among my searches across the city for Chinese cuisine, Hunan restaurant seeded the desire in my mind to visit it frequently for its variety, innovation and creativity in the preparation of Chinese cuisine.
We entered Hunan around afternoon on a Sunday and were warmly welcomed by the hotel staff. Soothing interiors set our mood right to pamper our taste buds with some authentic cuisine.
As normal we started our meal with a soup and we ordered Ginger tomato soup and sweet corn soup. The taste was perfect towards the sweet corn soup but the
addition of ginger to tomato soup gave a different feel for the soup which I had never tried. This is a must try for those who appreciate variety in their cuisine.
Crispy fried Wontons another starter which was ordered and was crispy and perfectly cooked.
Towards my opinion, Chinese is much enjoyed when the main course is kept a little spicy and tangy. The main course was enjoyed by the combination Braised Chicken in Chilly Basil Sauce on a spicy note with egg noodles. Those with a heavy appetite, try the meat combination in sizzles. It is well presented and given great attention to its taste.
The menu ranges wide with varied options to satisfy your hunger for Chinese food. I came across its specialties in Thai cuisine which I am sure to try on my next visit to Hunan. Quality with value for money is offered at Hunan which is rare to be found in other restaurants across the city. Overall Hunan made our weekend truly satisfied and wish more of such visits to Hunan.
Strong recommendation - Don't ever visit Hunan
Terrible service - Took 45 mins to bring in basic order.
Clueless staff - 4 servers floating around our table. Not one knew what to do.
Bad food - oily and under-seasoned.
At an average of 700/- per head (for 2 cold drinks and 2 main course/entrées) not at all worth your time or money.
I think that the many popular / 5-star reviews have been planted here by the restaurant. Cannot be true. We came back hungry, dissatisfied and upset at the sloppy service.
Best Chinese food in Bangalore!
I've been to this place about 7-8 times and the food has been amazing every single time! Every dish is delicious with enough variety for vegetarians. I specially love crispy dragon chopsuey and veg rolls. Even the cool drinks are awesome.. Ambiance is good and service is extraordinary.
Buffet..on a weekend
We went for Buffet on a Saturday. It was serve @ table service for buffet. The soup(both veg/non-veg) was good. Starters was served cold and on mentioning they promptly heated it and served. However the starters(both veg/non-veg) was very oily, and the dished sorta tasted the same kinda. The main course was okay(veg better than non-veg). For deserts it was just plain vanilla ice-cream and cut-fruits. Had read a lot of about this place and me n my wife were dissapointed.
We would give it another try..for Ala-carte..maybe..
Delicious Food!!!!! we enjoyed it
It was my sisters first visit to Bangalore and I wanted to show her the best of Bangalore. She being from Delhi boasted a lot about her city. Among the bucket list of things I wished to do was to take her to a good restaurant for lunch. Since the restaurant I wanted to go was closed, I chose Hunan Chinese restaurant instead to give a try. This decision turned out to be so good because the food was amazing and my sister enjoyed the food. Hunan offered a great ambience and also serves excellent vegetarian food. I never know Vegetarian Thai food tasted so good but realized it after visiting Hunan. A great restaurant to visit in Koramangala for Chinese and Thai food.
Excellent Food, Service, & Ambience ~ That's Hunan
We had visited Hunan a month back for a delicious Sunday lunch.
Hunan has two outlets in Bangalore. One is located on New BEL Road, which we used to visit often when we lived that side of town. Another one is the outlet located in Koramangala above Costa Coffee.
Chinese is one of my favorite cuisines, and the food at Hunan has always been good during every visit.
We decided to try out the Sit Down Lunch Buffet. My hubby and I wondered what and how many items there would be for lunch, and let me tell you, there were lots! Lots is actually an understatement. Ensure you go on an empty stomach if you are visiting Hunan so that you can do complete justice to the meal!
The following were the items in the Sit Down Buffet on the day we had visited Hunan:
1. Cabbage in Hot Chilly Sauce One of my favorite starters as its normally served at every Chinese restaurant. The combination of cabbage and hot chilly sauce is yummy!
2. Chicken Lung Fung Soup I heard the soup tasted good and the chicken pieces were loaded in the soup
3. Sour & Pepper Wonton Soup The perfect soup to have to soothe your throat on a rainy day. However, the weather was hot when we went, but inside the restaurant, it feels like a freezer since the AC was on high. There was sufficient amount of pepper in the soup to make it very flavorful.
4. Chicken Momos One of the two non-veg starters that were served. Steamed momos are an all time favorite for us. I heard the chicken ones were quite soft and delicious.
5. Shredded Potato Chilly & Spring Onions This was our favorite starter, and I am sure if they brought a basket full of these, we would have polished them off in minutes! The shredded potato was cooked to perfection and complemented well with the chilly and spring onions.
6. Crispy Sesame Chicken This was another non-veg starter that was served on that day. The chicken was moist and tasted succulent!
7. Vegetable Salad The salad looked too cute to eat! It was presented very well and we just tasted one bite as we were half full from the rest of the starters!
8. Baby Corn and Mushroom Chilly Pepper This was veg starter number 2. The baby corn was crispy and the mushroom was soft. There were a lot of chillies and pepper topped on each piece. As I gobbled one piece right after the other, I felt as if I was eating popcorn!
9. Mocktail Lychee This really quenched my thirst after eating all those starters. Lychee is one of my favorite fruits and I was happy to know that they served a Mocktail on the day we visited Hunan.
10. Mocktail It was like lemonade with orange and red fruit flavors Hubby had this and said it tasted good, sweet, and cold. Another perfect drink to quench your thirst after eating all those starters!
11. Garlic Chutney This tangy and very garlicky chutney went perfect with all the starters, or to eat just by itself!
12. Hakka Noodles Vegetarian Glad to know another favorite was there for the buffet that day! Hakka noodles are something that I always order when I visit a Chinese Restaurant. In the buffet, we get to order one vegetarian noodles or rice. Therefore, we ordered Veg Hakka Noodles.
13. Chicken in Xo Chilly Sauce This is a dish I am hearing for the first time as I have never heard of Xo Chilly Sauce. The quantity was quite a lot and we could not finish it, especially since only of us are non-vegetarian.
14. Five Treasure Vegetables with Chilly Soy Sauce This gravy included broccoli, zucchini, baby corn, and a few more vegetables. The chilly soy sauce tasted great and I was sad I could not finish the whole thing.
15. Chicken Sichuan Fried Rice The Sichuan fried rice looked as if it was made using basmati rice and had a more Indianized flavor, than Chinese one. Nevertheless, I heard it tasted good and went well with the chicken gravy.
16. Vanilla Ice Cream, Crispy Honey & Sesame Noodles, & Fruits The final item that was served was the dessert. It was a plate filled with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, crispy honey and sesame noodles, and fruits (Pineapple, Apple, & Watermelon) Glad the quantity was not a lot as we appetite was quite satisfied after the appetizers and main course.
Overall, we were very happy with our lunch at Hunan. The servers were friendly and the food was brought to the table one after the other without even a break in between. The ambience is quite pleasant with soft music playing in the background. The AC was high and it felt good especially since the weather was so hot outside.
The Hunan in Koramangala is located on the main road near Jyothi Nivas College. They have Valet Parking in the basement, so you dont need to hunt for a parking spot.
The only thing about the Sit Down Buffet is that if there are leftovers, you wont be able to take them back home. I am so used to taking leftovers back home as I hate wasting food. Unfortunately, I could not do it this time.
So if you plan on going for the buffet, ensure you go on an empty stomach, so that you can eat each and every meal and relish each and every bite!
Hunan is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend this to anyone who loves Chinese food, and if you dont, you will start liking it after visiting this place!
Delicious food and pleasant ambience
We hit Hunan as a group of 3 last weekend around 1.30pm and it was moderately crowded. Now I generally don't like to go places which are less crowded/non existent because I tend to doubt whether they would give me leftovers. And in case of over crowded places they tend to fall on service. But this places was perfect for me. Now talking about the food...
There were two options - you could go for the set menu which costed around 350 plus taxes or else you could go for the regular menu. I noticed most people around me went for the set menu and they were quite in quick in their service too for people who went for this option. We went for the regular menu because we are hard core non vegetarians and we wanted to eat something other than chicken( which was the only meat served in the set menu).
So for starters, we orderd China Town Pork Ribs. The taste just blew me away!!! It was lightly spiced and cooked upto perfection...not to hard or too soft. However I wish the quantity was more since there wasn't anything left for second serving. For maincourse we ordered Roast Pork in Red & Green Chilly and Lamb in Oyster sauce. The pork was divine yet again, however, the lamb failed to impress me. We wanted to try duck as well but they didn't have it on that day. Duck to my experience has always been an overpriced item in every restaurant menu and this was comparatively cheaper. Our accompaniment for the maincourse was Roast Chicken fried rice and egg wrap hunan fried rice (huge quantity). I preferred the latter better as the former had more of a biryani taste. We were stuffed by the end and had no place for dessert.
Overall, I would say this place is a must visit. Service is a lil slow and if you have boring company it will definitely get on your nerves. But I ain't complaining because each item was worth the wait. The bill came around 1500 plus taxes and service charge. It will be lot lesser if you go in for chicken or lamb.
Hunan - good food, ambience and service
I visited this place for dinner and came out satiated. The portions are extremely large and please keep this in mind while ordering.
The service is one of the best I have seen in recent times. We ordered the beinjing clear soup which was rich in flavours. The stuffed mushrooms were wonderful but I felt the taste of the mushroom was masked by the overdose of garlic sauce.
The momos were good, but i felt the outer coating was not the softest. It could have been lighter. Skipped main course completely as this had my tummy really stuffed.
The cootton candy in the end was a delightful touch and took me back to my school days :)
Looking for a simple yet mouth-watering buffet? Head right away to Hunan! The food and service there complement one another! The menu was crispy n simple.
Veg Buffet: Sweet Corn soup, potato n ladies finger crispy fry, fried wontons, hakka noodles, fried rice, veg balls in spicy curry, date roll with cut fruits and vanilla icecream!
Non Veg Buffet: Chicken soup, Chicken lollipop, hakka noodles, fried rice, long strips of chicken in chinese gravy, date roll with cut fruits and vanilla icecream!
Also tried the Ala Carte, simply scintillating :) A must try place!!

Had been to Hunan last Sunday for dinner.......
Ambience was good....
Ordered for 'crispy sesame chicken' for starters....it was disappoiting as the chicken wasnt crispy......
Ordered for drinks....i was suggested to try some kiwi based Russian cocktail which was innovative and i really liked it.
For the main course we ordered 'chicken dragon noodles' which was ok.....
But the best part was their service....which is really appreciated....the food reached us with time and as the way we wanted it to b served.....and the dinner ended with a sweet cotton candy from their end :)

Hello everyone! Merry Christmas. I just had a great Christmas this time, Hunan just made it better. I have been visiting this restaurant a couple of times, so made it a point to visit it for Christmas with my friends. I should appreciate staff of Hunan, for providing such a nice ambience, which truly imbibes the spirit of Christmas in you. We had great spring rolls for starters and I had Hunan chicken gravy and Malaysian noodles. Guys do try chicken at Hunan, Its just awesome. Hunan has the right combination of service and food. The value for money is great at Hunan. Have fun. Merry Christmas.

Hunan is one place which has given me a great memory. Nice ambience and placed at a good location. We were a bunch of friends with limited budget, went to Hunan Chinese restaurant. Its a great place for Thai and Chinese. We friends tried multiple starters Crispy Sesame Chicken in the nonveg and Momos in the veg. Very well cooked and served with hospitality. Hunan gave us great food which is a right mix for a good conversation among our friends. In the main course we tried Thai. The best way All time favorite Chengdu Chicken' with a Chinese gravy. The food tastes great and awesome value for money.
Hunan made my date work
Great place to go on a date. Amazing ambiance and the staff is really hospitable. By price is very economical, and works out good for two. Well I had been to Hunan today with my boyfriend, where it worked out to be a great time for us. Am a hardcore fan of Chinese, and Hunan was successful in catching up to my expectations. In Starters try Hunan roast Chilly chicken which is tangy and spicy. The best part is the main course that we enjoyed. Try Sauteed Buddhas delight with noodles or egg fried rice. Great place to be :)
Excellent neighbourhood restraurant
Went there with the kids for an early dinner and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely ambience, impeccable service, great food and a modest price tag. There was so much to choose from will have to go back to try the Thai dishes. Jasmine tea was perfect as was the Man chow soup. No liquor yet as they are waiting for their license but really great food & service. Will definitely go back again!

Hey guys! Let me take this opportunity to share my great experience which I had today. I had been to this restaurant called Hunan in Kormangala for the second time which according to me got the best Chinese and Thai cuisine. Thai is new to me but got acquainted to it at the first bite itself. Started with a Chicken drums of heaven this tasted the best. The best thing I have noticed about Hunan is the use of sauces. But our main course was Hakka noodles with Chicken Mussaman curry which is a Thai cuisine. It involved Spicy chicken with a unique blend of Thai herbs and steam rice. The use of herbs really gave a unique taste which is must try for everyone. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and hospitable staff. Cheers!
Great place for Chinese
Hey guys, here is a restaurant which you guys should never miss if youre in kormanagala. Hunan restaurant, the name itself attracted me to the restaurant. At first I was skeptical on the food as it was my first time. The ambience was conducive and with the lively music in the background, we headed to order some Chinese as that is my favorite cuisine. Being a vegetarian Chinese has less options but hunan did offer me many. Crunchy kung pao baby corn was the appetizer which got me sold to hunan. Very nice blend of sauces to soothe your taste buds. It has great vegetarian appetizers and hospitable staff. Great place to visit.

It was again a day out for us as friends where I and my friend visited a Chinese restaurant in mood to have Chinese. This restaurant named Hunan which set us a higher standard for us to expect in Chinese cuisine. Our journey to pamper our taste buds started with a chicken lollipop. This chicken and the tangy sauce added to the chicken, made the moment so blissful. Its a must try. This was followed by Hakka noodles and a good appetizer called crispy sesame chicken. The best thing about Hunan is the right mix of sauces which brings out the Chinese in you. Do visit this place, to pamper your taste buds.
Everytime a new taste !
This was my second visit to the Hunan Chinese restaurant in Koramangala. It was a great experience in my previous visit. It is a great place to have a good lunch/ dinner with family friends and for a date too. The main attraction in the Hunan restaurant is the rich blend of sauces in each cuisiine that is ordered. A must try according to me when you visit Hunan restaurant is the Chicken lollipop in the appetizers and the prawns with mushroom in the oyster sauce as the main course. Have a great day!
Caught my taste buds!
Hello everyone! The purpose of writing this review is to share my experience of a restaurant which caught my taste buds, to all my food loving friends. On the evening today, I was with my friends in this area which has the highest restaurants in Asia called Koramangala. We were hungry and found this restaurant called Hunan Chinese restaurant. As it was our first time to the restaurant, we were skeptical about the taste. Irrespective of having many things, the golden fried baby corn appetizer in the restaurant just caught my taste buds to have more. It was so well fried and makes you feel that you having authentic Chinese food. Give this place a try, you'll love it.
No words to say its a wow place!!
All my friends love this new place at koramangala, we had plans to meet at costa coffee and we saw something new above costa coffee it surprisingly was our favorite brand ( Hunan ) some one can never miss this beautiful place and there service is the best of all, we had lunch & it was a sit down lunch buffet it was wonderful we all were impressed by the quality and customer service the food was great we all had fun & its a must hang around place at koramangala .....
Finally paid a visit to this new eatery in my neighborhood! The stairway has candles and so has every table..nice! Don't remember the name of the dishes though had some wok fried duck which was EXCELLENT! Also,had some chicken dumplings(very different and tasty), Vietnamese fried rice and some Chengdu chicken..all were extremely good. And not very expensive! Was fully satisfied!
