Found bone piece in baingan masala!!!!!!!
Worst experience ever, not recommended for vegetarians at all!!!
The bone in a veg dish only meant either the chef put it on purpose or the chef used same vessels to cook both veg or non veg or the chef tried to remove all non veg pieces from a gravy and add baingan into it!!!!!!!
Cockroach in Soup is the Delicacy In This Restaurant
Try this restaurant at your own risk! I took my entire family today for lunch and we were in for a horrible shock. Cockroach in the "Lemon and Pepper" soup that we ordered! My dad, at 73, an orthodox person an entire life had to bear this in his soup. I wonder what standards of hygiene they maintain that they serve a 1 cm long cockroach in the soup.
What's more, this place does not have any manager who is responsible and answerable. I just cancelled all the orders I had placed and had to change the lunch plan and had lunch finally at 15:30 at a different place. They also had the audacity to charge me for the soup. I paid up.
Try this place at your own risk.
Nice Restaurant in a Hidden Place
I went with my family for brunch. Good ambience and nice seating arrangements (doesn't look like that from the outside).
We had vegetarian food. Taste of all dishes that I ordered was very nice, except that the quantity of starters being served was less. I had ordered Veg Kurkure, Golden fried baby corn, Mushroom chilly for starters. For main course, veg biriyani was amazing taste wise. Veg chow chow with white sauce was different and good.
We closed with Kesari badam pista kulfi and rose petal kulfi. Great taste and was served in a different style.
Cost of starters is a bit high.
Ample parking space available.
Didn't Meet Expectations
Group of six visited for dinner on 28/05

Open, spacious , airy feel
Value for money.
The mango tree
Ample parking space
The food was OK.

Children running around and raising a racket.
They didn't serve regular beer and were out of their flavored beers. Had to order a bottle of wine.
I am not a regular review writer.. but a visit to this place just made me do this !
It was for my husband's birthday celebration , with my in-laws and a small kiddo whom you of course can't pin to one place and let me tell you .. I managed to impress everyone in the family by my choice of place ! Yuhoo.. !
First - the kid was happy cuz it had lot of place to play around.. not crowded and cordial staff as playmates..absolute bliss !
Second - my father-in-law was happy cuz the music was soothing , the place was serene and cool breeze made him relax.. absolute bliss - count 2 !
Third (very imp;)) - my mom-in-law was happy cuz the Fish was fresh and tasty and Mr Munnuswamy (the manager) could speak Bengali !! absolute bliss - count 3 !
The birthday boy (my husband ) was ofcourse happy as it was a surprisingly nice place close to our home and .. he got a complimentary chocolate brownie for his birthday !! - count 4!
Now , with the entire family happy and yet not a hole in my pocket .. made me up the blissfulness count by +++++ !
So we came back one happy family .. with a free green mango dropped from the Tree :-D
Ok , so now for the facts - the place is simple , no frills. Managed to keep the basics to the basics - Good.
It looks like it cud make some better use of the ample space available to increase the USP of their restaurant.
Food - Not bad ,but honestly the chicken biryani was confusing .. couldn't exactly place the taste. Fish tikka- good. Rotis a bit thick and dry.
Didn't try the deserts.
Limited creativity in Mocktails.
So don't go there if you have ONLY FOOD on your mind.
But the combination of the food & atmosphere ( specially for dinner ) can give you a satisfaction quotient.
Appreciate Mr Munnuswamy's efforts to keep the ambience of the place relaxing as he mingles with the guests and offers quality service.
I think I would visit this place again on a nice breezy evening (like it was when i visited ) when I want to have more of their Fruit Sangrias and fish Tikkas !
Relaxed and offbeat
The location of Mango Tree is a bit unexpected. The trees growing throughout the establishment are beautiful and the place is well designed. We were served promptly. The drinks were average but the food was delicious. They happily exchanged a roti when we said it was too buttery and went out of their way to make sure all customers were happy. Good for a quiet, peaceful dinner with family and friends. The quantity of food is good and the pricing is not too high. The ambiance is very unlike any other place - simple, natural and relaxing.
wonderfully relaxing place for a peaceful dinner
I was planning to have a dinner party for my mother on her 60th birthday. I called up to reserve. Immediately after I had reserved the place I get a call from Mr. Munuswamy from the restaurant. He offered me a good option of having a private dining experience in the lawn away from the regular customers with dedicated servers on standby and unlimited food. This was a great option, but I was sceptical in the beginning as the price offered was very reasonable. I was wondering if this was possible.
The servers were very patient, Mr. Munuswamy, personally greeted us and personally took care of all arrangements.
We had a wonderful dinner under the sky away from the general crowd and special care.
The food was awesome. Everything was really good. No complaints at all.
food 4 stars
service 5 stars
Alltogether my mother was one happy person after the party. We all were very happy with the service and wonderful food.
Definitely a great place for a candlelight dinner
Serenity at its best
A very peaceful place to have dinner. Ambiance is good and its an open garden type. Service is great. Price is moderate. Fish Kebabs are must try item. Rarely you will find such a serene place in B'lore. Must visit place but to find the exact location can be difficult, its better to use GPS in this case.
For once Veggies are delighted :)
Been here more than once, its the-place to be when one is tired of dinning with in Bangalore city, searching for parking...phewwwww! there is enough space to accommodate your vehicle under the shelter of tamarind trees. Done with parking now its time to REJOICE your taste buds.....Slurrrrp!!!
Sitting with ease in an open air restaurant and having food, can one imagine it in BANGALORE?...Here you can experience it.
What you need is to enjoy the ambiance and the breeze while you order is getting ready, you can even go for a stroll :).
Here is what you can try before you go for a stroll and enjoy the one acre open space, I will start with veg though not one, as I was overwhelmed with the taste of vegetarian dishes.
My Veggie Delights:
Hariyalli tikki------A green veg retreat.
Paneer tikka------Tenderly cooked paneer, it melts in your mouth !
Hyderabadi Moti Muttor------Assorted vegetable with peas and corn (to be tried with roti or naan)
Thilli Hariyaali Sheek Kebbab----Yummmy yum yum is what I can say.
Non Veg platter-----an assortment of tandoori chicken and fish.
The fish is so tasty and the essence of it with a touch of Indian spice, try it and you will know it for your self. I would indeed recommend this place to start more sea food dishes.
I suggest you try the platter and order what you like in specific as I like everything in it and mean it.
The dum Biryanis (Veg in specific) and curries(Veg and Non-veg) are no compromise and worth every penny, the side starters are indeed a bliss.
The pricing is moderate and it is an ideal place for office parties, birthday parties, treats and more.
The manager is very friendly and sees every one are addressed, but my suggestion enjoy the place and do not expect a VIP treatment, as it is difficult to get attention in specific especially when there is an unexpected crowd.
Awesome place and yummy food
This is one of those places I loved Veg food, I usually prefer non-veg. But the veg food is just amazing and ambiance is quite and cozy. They have their own parking place, which is a big plus for me. Overall a nice place to spend your evening with your friends and family members
Worst place to dine in...
have been there with family. Service was horrible... took 20 minutes to take the order and then another 40 minutes to serve it. Table was not prepared and no one was willing to help. i have to pick the the spoon and fork from other tables to serve myself. Was keeping the cool as was with family but lost it when they took another 20 minutes to bring the running order.. in the mean while all our food on the table went cold. I asked them to cancel my other orders.. which they happily did and placed the bill. No manager or supervisor intervened to control the situation and try to pacify a unsatisfied customer. My family have to leave half stomach.. while paying the bill for thing not eaten up. Do not understand why these people open up restaurants to screw others good times.
Nice ambiance but average food and service
Been there on 1st Jan. Though we were a big group we got a table almost immediately but there was no one around to take the order.
Food was average and service levels were very low that day. I am assuming they were not anticipating so much crowd and they were not prepared.
Overall the experience was just ok. I liked the ambiance and the restaurant has ample parking.
Awesome food, people and ambience
A place not to hard to find....it is right behind brigade Millennium and L & T South City in Bannerghatta Road. This place is well lit and have a huge parking space. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. Their wine cocktails are really good. You would not find hard liquor here. You would be very happy with their wine cocktails, breezer's, smoothies and slushes. You would be treated with a complimentary dahi papadi chaat once you are at the table. You have a lot of options to choose from starters to the main course for both vegetarians and the non vegetarians. Fir the Non-veg starters I would suggest the Murg Tikka and Veg starters would be paneer tikka and Badami Aloo Makhai. In the Main course - Non Veg their Murg Tikka Labadar along with your choice of bread or their Chicken Tikka Pulao is the best. Veg - you can try the Achari Aloo gravy. I met both the owners - Manu and Ram. Manu is a graphic designer, a damn friendly person. Ram is the one who runs the show and he is retired captain from the Taj group of hotels. Very friendly people who would suggest you the food of your choice of taste. Per person it would come upto 300 rupees. Their idea is to serve really good food and have a lot of repeat customers. This definitely will be a place that I would frequent. Thanks for the lovely evening.
Pleasantly Surprised !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a lazy Friday evening when me and my friend decided to go out to eat, Since it was raining we didn't want to go to Kormangala to eat, but when we checked Burrp we found this place newly opened and since it was very close to our home we decided to give it a try.
Although it was a bit difficult to find the place one quick call to the owner, guided us to the place.
Upon entering there is long path which leads to the open air restaurant, We were greeted and shown to our place. Must say the place was almost empty, We were wondering whether we had made the right decision.
We were promptly served with water and the menu card, One quick glance we found the prices to be very competitive, To our surprise we were served with free complimentary Dahi Vada, which was absolutely fantastic.
We ordered a starter, a main course and a cold drink, the food was fantastic and the open air ambiance was just great.
We will definitely go back and try other dishes also.
