Not a Great Place

The food quality is below average and the buffet spread is poor. They certainly need to look into this.

Good Experience

Great food, good ambiance, soothing and relevant music. Better than some other more expensive Rajasthani Thali restaurants in the city.
The moong dal halwa was awesome and the shrikhand was authentic and tasty, almost like home-made one.
Each curry had a distinct taste. Only negative, Paneer was not fresh.

Worth a try!

Food was Rajasthani with some Gujarati items as well.

Nothing to complain about this thali system, just an amazing set of dishes. Tastes good, quite warm (nothing piping hot though :-|) and was on the bland side (yes! nothing spicy).
A few sweet dishes, a couple of chaats and a couple more Indian starters to start with; phulka, roti and plain paratha + 3 Subji's; two rice variants and a couple of Indian desserts to end. Jal jeera, butter milk and lassi on the side.
(No hot Gulab Jamun!, a let down!)
Do note that every item was orthodox (No Ice cream, no milk shake etc.)

Service : 5/5
Just brilliant! Servers were patient, answering our question on dishes, stressing on trying out all the dishes and were very courteous. We occupied a table for close to two hours (It was a hangout) and still they let us stay for 10 min even after closing hours (10.30 PM). You got to hand it to them, one of the finest services provided with personal care.

Ambience : 4/5

VFM : 4/5 (Purely my opinion!)

Including taxes, the bill was approx Rs 365, which is definitely not bad.

WOW!! Amazing Experience

This place was suggested by one of my friend to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary with a few of my relatives and close friends. We were 12 and made a reservation there. They have 2 types of sitting, normal table sitting and lower sitting (Baajot) that's what they call it. It was around 8:30 PM when I reached there and I was surprised by the way they had decorated the place. It was full of colors and was typically Rajasthani including a warm welcome by their folks saying Padharo saaa

They have Rajasthani Thalis to heavily & heavenly serve there guests. There are unlimited, and non-stop dishes. They started off with Butter Milk and Jaljeera, after that it was Samosa, Delhi Chat, Kichiya (this was the first time I tried this variety of papad) with chutney. Then they started overwhelming us with Churma, Dal, Bati. This seemed like a royal dish to me. They served Paneer Matar Masala, Gatte Ka Saag, Ker Sangri to name a few with 4 varieties of breads.

And if you thought it ends there then you are wrong. The served an amazing Kichdi & Jodhpuri Pulao. Yum! Then, at last, but not least...sweets. Gulab jamun, moong dal halwa, I was thinking there should be Ice Cream with Gulab Jamun but they have Srikhand in place of Ice Cream, that's again my first time and I liked it very much.

The service was amazing...they keep filling you. "Thoda aur lijiye sa". It was my surprise when I got the bill...it was just 3600/- for 12, which was very much under my budget. And finally appetizer Pan was served. It was all worth it and was a super experience. Super super like and recommend!

Good Rajasthani food

Been here with friends a couple of times as it os very close to where I stay. The Rajasthani food was good but not the best I have tasted. Ambience is definitely eye-catching and the staff is really good. The thali seemed to be a little overpriced at 280 though the taste as mentioned earlier was very good if not best that I had.

Liked ambience, but overpriced

Visiting second time, menu and the cost have changed. Not worth the price of Rs.280/ person. The staff was friendly and ambience also was good.

Remind me of a Dhabha!!

I like the name, reminds me of a highway dhaba! But this restaurant serves Rajasthani food. It's easy to locate and as soon as u get out of the lift onto the 3rd floor u are awe struck by the vibrant colors n the chatai kinda furniture..The thali in front of us kept getting filled with typical marwari dishes, dal baati, churma, kadhi, alu sabzi, gatte ki sabzi etc

Its like visiting a Rajasthani house

After a long time, we decided to search for a true blue VEGETARIAN restaurant. The occasion was Karva Chouth and both (yes both me and the wife) had fasted for the entire day and were awaiting a feast by the end of it.
I had heard quite a bit about this new Rajasthani place from some of my friends and had checked some rave reviews about the famed hospitality ( they treat you like you are visiting their house.)Although, I admit my wife wasn’t entirely in favor of the place as her experience of the food wasn’t all that great. She said it will be too bland and Rajdhanish for my liking.
None the less we reached the place quite late for our usual dinner time, thanks to the reclusive moon. The place was easy to locate with a big wide board on the 3rd floor.
It is right next to a residential locality so finding a parking spot was not too difficult, though they don’t have any valet services.
There appeared to be a family waiting ahead of us, however we were offered a nice cozy corner place for two by the waiting staff.
The decor was totally Rajasthani with pagdi clad men waiting on you with big wide thaalis. The music too was to suit the occasion i.e. Karva Chouth. The owners have taken pains in decorating with ethnic Indian /Rajasthani artefacts, drapes and other necessities.
We did however feel a little cramped for space - there seemed to be too many tables and too less space.
Coming to the food, it was a sit down buffet which they started with CHaach and jaljira - both very refreshing and fine quantities too. Maybe they weren’t expecting so many guests however, there was a bit of confusion as we were asked at least 3 times for the kind of water we prefer before actually being served. Post that it was pretty smooth with a continuous supply of Daal Batti Churma, Gur Rotis naan paratha some 3 kinds of veg dishes one aftger the other. Of course accompanied with DOLLOPS of ghee!
I tasted daal baati churma (DBC) for only the second time in my life and fell in love with it instantly. Simply delectable! I had nearly 3 portions of it. The rest of the seemed, as my wife had warned me- was definitely bland and not to my liking. However the DBC made it all worth it. Just when we decided that we cannot take it anymore, they asked us if we wanted any sweet. My stomach said a RESOUNDING NO; however we did end up tasting the Gajar halwa as well as shreekhand. Any boy, were we thrilled that we sat for the dessert. These delightful things have never tasted so much better. Just the right sweetness in shreekhand and right amount of ghee in gajar halwa made for a scrumptious last course.
By the end of it all we did miss out on some heavenly looking delicacies such as the dal khichdi (which really looked warm and inviting). SO I would recommend people to go there for DBC, Khichdi, and the sweets.
You will definitely not regret it.
Just a summary ( on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest),
Service levels - 3.5
Food - 3.5
Ambience - 3
Parking - 3
Surroundings - 3.5
Overall - 3.5

Super amazing!!!

Yes!! this deserves a 5 star. For its ambiance, for its hospitality, for its service, for the food, for its value of money and most importantly for the rabri.

I had long been missing this kinda food. NH8 proved to be a gr8 choice.
Went along with my roomie and had set into order the thali. On weekends it cost Rs 280(I guess the menu for thali here on zomato is an old one). I dont think its would be too crowded during weekends. Though if possble go for a resrvation just to avoid a bad luck!! :-P.. So, instantaneously waiters around swung into action and there came a flood of starters. To begin with, they served daal baati churma.. So amazing it was. Then dhokla, kachori with amazing imli and green chutney, Jaljeera, chaajch and papad. This was followed by dahi bhalla chaat. It was such a sumptuous quantity.
Before we proceeded to the main course, we literally had to take a 5 min break.
The it all began.. The real picture.
6 bowls in front of me were filled with chhole, paneer, kadhi, gatte ki sabji, lauki(super amazing.. and this comes from a guy who has been hating it since childhood) and a daal. Rotis were small and when served with ghee and gur, tasted awesome. The gur was amazing.
And when this got over, khichdi and rice was served too. Since i was so full, i just wanted to taste khichdi.. It tasted well too!!!!
That was it i said.. but it wasnt so for the waiters. Last part remained. And landed gulab jamun and rabri in my plate. At first i hasitated, but all my hestation was waved off by a spoon of rabri. I bet u wudnt have had such amazing rabri in bangalore!! Sigh!!!
And since so amzaing was the staff. It was a great experince at NH8. Loved it a lot!! Well done guys.. keep it up!!

Royal Treat

Rajasthani food though its vegetarian is always quite rich and royal in taste and the food served in NH8 just proves that.
Food is great with lots of ghee to wash it down your throat. Sweets specially the Moong Dal ka Halwa is a must have, I loved it at NH8.
Staff is very courteous and service is super fast. They don't let you empty your bowls and refills will come before you empty your bowl.
Now coming down to the price yes its a tad bit pricey..... but after tasting their food and service and hospitality its seems as if its worth it....

Excellent!

Good food, ambience, very friendly staff. Satisfied on the whole. Can retain Ala carte for dinner please. We cant really eat all the stuff in the thali. Or they could introduce 'mini thalis' with lesser food and ofcourse for a lesser price.

NH8 - A Must Visit Restaurant

You enter the restaurant and you will start getting the Rajasthani vibes everywhere. The ambience is truely Rajastani and very very authentic. Colorful walls, Rajasthani decorations, light Rajasthani music makes the look of the restaurant very beautiful.

Once you occupy your seats and the "Jal Jeera" and "matthha" is served then other items will come pouring. They have so many items and each item was very good. Few were spicy but after all its the food of Rajasthan :)

The part that appealed me was the behavior of folks over there. They were treating us as if they were treating their own guests. I just felt as if we were on a "dawaat" at some relative's house. And to our true surprise, there was no finger bowl at the end. They brought us the royal jug with warm water and plate so that we could wash hand.

I must say that I had a wonderful experience there and would love to go there time and again and not to miss - Value for money :)

Food was gud but price is very expensive

This place has the best ambiance better than any hotel i ve been to.. the food is different and tastes very good but i think its too expensive.. 270 is costly right?? but to include... the kachori and dhokla and especially the dahi u get there (extra charged) is so good.. its a good place to go enjoy with family and friends

Value for money

Not bad at all for the spread they have for the amount they charge for thaali.
We had a office outing with a large group, and we were impressed with the service they offered.

The food was bit heavy, but that's expected from Rajasthani meal.
Feedback to the management - Rajasthani food is all about spices. I really feel that they should make their offering a little more spicy.

Overall a value for money place.

Loved the experience !

Been to this place recently and truly njoyed the experience. Ambience was really impressive.

Food was excellant, llittle heavy but, if it's Rajasthani it has to be heavy !
Though a trivial aspect, but i did njoyed the rajasthani songs they were playing :)

Management should consider expanding the waiting area, as we had to wait standing as it crowded the day we went there.

Good Rajasthani Food

We have been to this place couple of times and enjoyed the Rajasthani dishes. Rajasthani attention towards serving food comes with the package :)

Share:

Quality has de-graded and price increased

They increased the price of thali from Rs. 190 to Rs. 225 but did not maintaint the same quality. The staff has changed. Items in thali de-creased. Paneer is off from thali. We used to like the paneer curry they used to serve but i guess they wanted to save money on Paneer.

Black mark on Rajasthani Hospitality

I visited the place recently after reading the great reviews and honestly I'm deeply disappointed. I have been to lot of Rajasthani restaurants all over the country, and this has been the worst experience so far.
To start with, they don't give you finger bowl, but then Rajasthani restaurants typically bring you a Sheesha & Bowl; you can wash hands sitting right at your table. But the waiters at NH8 just point you to the single washroom and you have to stand in a queue... since the handwash is located inside that washroom. Not a good experience to stand in a long queue twice, just to wash hands!
The food was way heavier than an authentic Rajasthani veg food and the taste was, again, the worst Rajasthani food I have ever tasted, in fact apart from the Gatta-Subzi, I wonder if I should even call the food "Rajasthani"!!
The service was extremely poor and you have to call the waiters number to times to get their kind attention! And I wonder why all the waiters wore torn kurtas with jeans?!! All the kurtas were worn & tattered at places, which looked very unsmart and didn't talk highly about the restaurant. Waiters were all confused about what to serve & how. To me, it seemed they were all serving for the first time. The service was painfully slow for a "Thali" restaurant and you have to wait long for the first batch of Rotis to arrive.
The funny part is, even the payment took them full 15 minutes to process, and not only us, but the other groups sitting there also started getting impatient to get their cards back after such a long wait.
Rajasthani hospitality is something that is highly appreciated & always the USP of such restaurants, but NH8 is putting a black mark on it. Apart from the decor, nothing to write home about.

Not upto the mark

Like most of the people, having read all the positive review about NH8,I thought of taking my parents to this place yesterday on their anniversary but its not at all upto the mark. The ambience is not doubt good but food and service is a complete bluff. As informed by the restaurant people,we gave order for one jain thali one hour before but when we arrived it took them to serve the thali 40mins.When rest of the team already started the meal, the jain thali is still yet to come.None of the waiters are eager to serve you food.We had to call them twice or thrice to serve the disher.Specially the person who were serving the sweets didnt want to serve at all.He was such a miser.the food quality was not good even spicy and my parents had a tough time after eating the thali. It doesnt worth to pay Rs 265 for such a terrible meal or service. You have better options in that area for this cuisine.

Bad service

Having read all the positive reviews, I made up my mind to go to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday. To start with we had to wait 20 minutes to get even a glass of water and jal jeera. After this there was another agonising wait for 20 more minutes before the food was served. We were actually on the verge of walking out when the plates were brought out. We were not served butter milk till almost the end of the meal and that too after three reminders. We also had to keep asking for the desserts, the rice items and even for water. The kid thali which we had asked for our daughter did not arrive at all despite having asked for it thrice.

The only saving grace was the food which was good.

Good experience..

The overall experience at NH8 is what makes you feel good when you walk out after the meal. The folks who serve are very courteous... and the friendly way in which they "force" you to have more... thats a fairly cool experience in Bangalore. Had been there with cousins, wife and parents. And all of us really enjoyed the experience.

The food is good. Among the Rajasthani restaurants (including Rajdhani etc) .. the Dal-Bhati here was definitely much better. The rest of the thali food was also good.

And everyone there looked genuine. i.e it did not look like an artificial courtesy being extended. A big Thumbs-up to the entire team at NH8.

Super Duper Ambiance

I was with 2 other friends at NH8 on Saturday for lunch. The first and foremost thing that i noticed were the interiors of the restaurant, which is still in front of my eyes. They serve authentic Rajasthani food. The outfits of the waiters are traditional which are simply awesome, with their Rajasthani Kurtha, Dhoti & Pagadi. The service is unbeatable. The food is superb. For a second, we were confused, as in which dish to start from. All the waiters were patient and have a very good attitude. The service was very quick, each serving took them abt 2 secs. While having our lunch, (I did have a count), the waiters would come and ask you as to what we need every 22 seconds and they asked us for 31 times. Glad i was there to relish the food. I am going to go again with my family sometime.... Good job.. continue on what you're doing..

Super Experience

I am a Delhite and shifted to Bangalore just 9-10 months back after my marriage, so here I miss proper North Indian food taste & quality. But after visiting NH8 I can say that "not any more" as this place offer you great Rajasthani flavours in all their dishes.

They offer you only Rajasthani Thali every day but with different menu. We were stuck with a pleasant surprise after looking at their Ambience which is purely traditional Rajasthani, the outfits of the staff (mainly servers) are traditional with Rajasthani Kurtha, Dhoti & Pagadi. The service is prompt and quick. First of all they welcome us with Chaach & Jaljeera the taste of which is very good, then Tandoori Aloo & Paneer Tikka which was also equally good after that Dhokla with three types of Chutneys (Green Chutney, Garlic Chutney & Sweet Imli Chutney) and the Dhokla was simply awesome which we ordered and ordered almost thrice :) then Daal, Baati & Choorma which was great to taste.

Afterwards the main course started with Salad, Pappad, Butter Naan, Small & Soft & Fresh Tawa Roti and the mini Makai Roti over which they put some sweet Jaggery (Gud) with little bit of pure Ghee, then Chhola, Malai Paneer, Gutta Subzi, Pappad Subzi, Gujarati Kadhi, Rajasthani Kadhi, Dahi Bada, Kichadi with little Pure Ghee over it & Rice, and in desert Rabadi. Every item is unlimited i.e. you can order whatever item you like as many time as you want to and can eat.

Definitely a must visit place, at least for those who are searching for good North India style food in Bangalore.

My Rating is:

Ambience : 08 / 10
Service : 07 / 10
Food: 07 / 10

Easy and expensive way to an upset stomach!

Went to NH8 on 4th Sept for dinner with family and had a horrible experience. The food was bad, not worth the cost of 265 per head. All the dishes tasted the same. The waiter came with the roti first and realised we werent served any of the accompaniments and vanished. By the time we hunted for the accompaniments and got them the roti guy was not at all to be found! We had many people (other than the service staff) come up and ask us what we needed and then went away!! Without providing what we asked for...it was funny after a while. My son was the smartest and refused to eat anything served and hence was saved from the lousy upset stomach and miserable time we had the next morning. I am absolutely gonna discourage any one who asks me for feedback on this place. Must avoid at all cost.

Marwari cuisine in Bangalore

With colorful ambience and delicious food, this place is real fun . The best known rajasthani food -dal baati churma n gatte ki sabje- can be enjoyed here .Go there to enjoy mouth watering and scrumptious food along with nice interiors.

Good decor, but awful food

I had always wanted to visit this place, since it opened, and finally went there on a Sunday for dinner.
The decor was quite pleasing and with rajasthani handicrafts and songs playing in the background. Being a rajasthani myself, i was looking forward to their food. They have this low seating arrangement, but we chose a table.
we were served chaach and jal-jeera, which tasted good, we were guessing, the food would be great.I have eaten rajasthani food countless number of times, i was really disappointed with the kind of food served at this place.
just making the place look like rajasthan doesnt serve the purpose, the food too should say it belongs to rajasthan. Daal batti churma was much below the standards. Churma was soggi. Baati left some after taste in the mouth, explains it was stale. The most common allo ki sabji was tasting like the allo saago, that we get in the south indian eateries, all the sabjis served from paneer to gatta tasted the same. In sweet they had coconut barfi. common... you say weekends you have a special spread. Not coconut burfi please, we dont eat them in rajasthan as special meetha.
The service was extremly poor which added to our frustation, sitting in the resturant, we had to litterally call the waiter"Sir, would you mind getting us some roti/dal/water". We could see so many waiters, everyone seemed to be moving, but no idea for what?No one seemed to serve anything??but when asked for the bill, it was there in no time. Rs 250/- per person, not worth it.
We actually told the lady at the billing counter, that they should once visit Chowka, just down the same road on tippasandra main road. for Rs.120 they serve the real rajasthan. to that she replies:" Sir, its first time for you so you are feeling this way, pls see our guest book, everyone says its good".. To which we replied, so does taht mean you wont serve 1st timers... and why dont you give us your guest book. even after asking for the guest book, she didnt give it to us.

Definitely, not again!!!

Had a horrible experience. Not at all worth going.

Had a horrible experience. Not at all worth going. My parents were visiting me so we decided to go there with family.
The reservation was conformed on phone when we reached we find out that it was not.

the food is very ordinary, Rajasthani by no means. Service is very much messed up. I felt we wasted good 3 hours and 1500 Rs. We came back home highly dissatisfied and had some left over food in the fridge.

Bad really bad

everything tastes the same, bad service, food was like eating boiled veggies. definately worth ignoring and not worth a second visit.

Disappointment ..

The thali on a monday afternoon was a disapointment. All the dishes but for the Kadhi were not even close to Rajadhani preperation.
The service is was not up ot the mark considering the number of guest were around.
Not the worth the price.

Not so good food and service is really bad

Went to NH8 on 5th May for dinner. It was a mistake.
The food was not so great. Not many varities, taste was not so authentic, khokala and bhajiya were served cold. Side dishes were also just ok. Lapsi (sweet dish) was bad.
Kadhi/dal tasted good but was served cold.
Other issues:
1. Service was toooooooooo slooooow. Even after requesting something it took lot of time to get it served.
2. The pillows were dirty,
3. the lift to reach to the resturant was not working.
4. A.C. was not working
I think NH8 staff should visit the Rajdhani at the Forum value mall and Maiyas at Jayanagar 4th Block to get some idea on how to run the things and what kind of food to be served.
Does not worth it.

Good Food

NH 8 Restuarant at Indiranagar is really superb, ithe food reminds me of Mumbai Mamakane hotel at Dadar'where I used to eat in the 1969.
Though we have Non-veg regularly;I would recomend this place for the best Veg food in Bengaluru.

NH 8 Team Rocks

Whenever I feel to go on Friday Lunch, only non veg comes in mind, this is not the case now. Today I went to NH 8 with my 4 colleagues and when I heard its pure veg I thought to walk out but as entire restaurant was pack I thought why not to give a chance, as soon as I had Khaman dhokla my appetite starts clapping, and then Aloo vada, Churma Dal Batti, Gatte Ka saag, panner, aloo tamatar, Marwadi Kadi was like I should never stop.. guys keep on getting the stuff and I keep on let my appetite clap...Service boys keep on insisting " Sir aur lo.., Ghee ke saath mazza aayega"....Now sitting in office I am feeling that Mazza...and planning to go tomorrow as well, there are some more Tandoori dishes in their Menu....NH 8 Team, your food, service, Ambiance..everything is great..Must to go place..Thank You NH 8.

Dear guest
Thanks a lot for choosing us,we look forward for some more delightful encounters...

Got the Delhi Belly

Thanks to a newspaper advertorial about this place, the wife and I dropped in early afternoon. The interiors are over the top, to say the least. But it does smack of Rajastani culture and art motifs.
The food - big spread with quite a variety. BUT, most dishes taste like each other and the partially cooked masala content in each was overwhelming. Even the khichdi had so much cinnamon sticks and flavour in it. Post lunch, both of us had an uneasy feel in the tummy which turned worse for me. 12 hours prior to and after NH8, we had eaten only home food so that window of excuse is closed. I thought maybe it was the water (we dont order overpriced mineral water at restuarants since it's their responsibility to provide clean water) but they apparently provide distilled water...which is thought was meant for automobile engines and steam coaches.
Final word - good option if you like that kinda food, are in indiranagar and have a cast iron stomach. If you're like me, probably give it a miss and choose rajdhani instead.

No food colors and artificial flavors, please !

This is not exactly a review, but since I plan to visit this place soon(because I expect it to be good), I wanted to share a thought. The photo of the Thali looks good, but the bright colors(fluorescent green, yellow...) makes it clear that food color is being used generously.

I keep going back to restaurants (there are only a few that I know) that have a policy of using no food colors and artificial additives like MSG(Ajinho Moto).

So, I hope the management thinks about my feedback and concentrate on the "taste" more instead of "looks". Looks are often deceptive :) True quality does not need added colors and flavors !

Good food!

I don't like north Indian food that much but must say that this place stood out in terms of service and quality of food. The staff went out of their way by even offering to baby sit my 7 month old kid. Over all a must visit if you enjoy north Indian (Veg) food.

Festivals@ NH 8

I donot agree to what someone says about sweet, sweet is fantastic it's moong Dal Halwa, Giri Pak, which is fabulous. They have diiferent menu on different days. One must go for the wekend thali. You will find panner tikka, veg seek kabab , and many sweets which are not available on weekdays. I must say quality of food is extremely good, So though it's ghee, which is distinguishing feature of Rajasthani food but it will not have any adverse impact. This is tested thing. One more untouched aspect of NH 8 is, NH 8 teaches us about different North Indian festivals and rituals, along with offering the special day food.like I went on Sheetla Saptami, they have a write up about festival, rituals associated , how in North specially in Rajasthan it is celebrated and Oliya ( Mewari food preparation ), also on Gangaur they did it.My niece still enjoyed the water gun and Gulal offered by NH 8 to every kid.
I must say it's not merely food which binds but overall concept is appealing. I am waiting for next festival now.io would suggest NH 8 to develop a forum where all North Indian specially Rajasthani and Gujarati festivals can be celebrated together, it's a step towards promoting the culture and social networking. In Bangalore's busy life we do not get time to celebrate all festivals with proper rituals, thus loosing charm of life in this way it becomes easier for all of us.All the best NH 8

Wonderful service , nice food

Visited the place on the day of the Indo-Pak semi finals. They have a nice 42 inch TV and a very friendly staff. The place is probably not popular yet, so it was almost empty when we visited.
The decor is rajasthani with normal table seating and a low seating section. They also have a well made of cardboard for effect :D
The staff is dressed in ethnic clothes and is very friendly. You are served chaas and jaljira as you start. The daal baati churma here is the best that i have had till date. Roti is served along with some two sabjis, one paneer dish and daal. You can have from a selection of bajra roti, phulka and some spiced roti. Food is unlimited and they keep coming back again to serve as your plate or glass becomes empty.
Dhokla and a potato vada were average.
All the food is rich in ghee and tends to fill you up soon. The staff serves with smiles and forces another helping, adding to the homely feeling.
There is khichdi and plain rice to follow the rotis. Dessert wasn't something that i enjoyed since it looked yellow and wasnt very great.
At about 200 per head for an unlimited thali, its a fare you should give a try at least once.
What is served in the thali is food that everyone is familiar with. They could do slightly better with the desserts and also give an a la carte option with some more authentic rajasthani food. Am sure if they include sweets like ghevar, moong dal halwa, or dishes like gatte ki kadi, bhindi, they will be liked and devoured by the people visiting.
But still, i'd give the place a thumbs up and wish them all the luck!

Authentic rajasthani taste

Went to the Restaurant today and I found the food really nice.Especially the DaalBaati and Churma are with the authentic rajasthani taste.

Went with my office friends and they really liked the ambiance of the place.
Go to the lower seating to really enjoy the heavy rajasthani meal.
Waiters are friendly and they will tell you whatever they are serving.

Only one thing to say that the Sign board is really small. If you are not looking for it then you can miss it because it's on 3rd floor.

Also more sweets could be served at the end.

overall nice experience

Truly Rajasthani

I got to know about this place from a newspaper advertisement. It is located in Indiranagar 80 Feet Road, there are two Bata Showroom there,NH8 is located diagonally opposite Spensers, just look up at 3rd floor and you'll find their board.

First Glimpse - The interiors were decent, not great though. Two types of seating, lower seating(traditional Rajasthani style ) and table(regular). The waiters gave us a friendly greet with a smile.

Food - You get welcomed with chaas(butter milk) and shikangi(fresh lime). Then you get dhokla and papad(fried). The dhokla was very soft and tasted good. After that comes the real treat, daal baati churma. Then you are served with Chole,Gatte ki sabji, Aloo Dum Kadi and Baajre ki roti(with ghee and gudh). All vegetables were cooked in standard oil. Later they also serve you rice.

Deserts - They serve gulabjamoon for deserts(which melts in your mouth,Yummy).

Overall, a wonderful experience, dont expect to maintain your diet plan and enjoy the traditional Rajasthani food.

Price - Rs. 199 Unlimited (inc. taxes)

Has potential..could be a good alternative

For those who crave for Rajasthani food, here is an alternative from the usual available stuff. This place is on 3rd floor so it is natural to miss rather one can keep looking for bata showroom this is right above that or is diagonally opposite to Spencers on 80 ft road.
Well the decor compared to any other Rajasthani place in bangalore is better, it has both low floor sitting and regular sitting. Surprisingly the place looked empty when we entered.
They serve typical Rajasthani thali with lots of options and the test is quite nice but not outstanding. Everything on the menu has one thing in common lots and lots of Ghee/Oil. So please forget your calorie meter at home :)
Overall a pretty decent place.

THANX A LOT FOR THE VALUBLE SUGGGESTION...WE HAVE TRIED TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF GHEE BUT THE RICHNESS OF RAJASTHANI FOOD WILL BE DIFICULT TO CHARACTERIZE WITHOUT THE USE OF GHEE....HOWEVER WE HAVE MADE SURE THAT ONLY A FEW ITEMS ADDS TO THE OVERALL CALORIE AND OTHERS WORKS ON THE CALORIFIC VALUE....

Feel good with Food and Rajasthani Environment

I came here for b'day party. Never expected such kind of restro in bangalore who provides such a delicious food with real Rajasthani interior.
Staff over here is very humble they ll give u respect (say Padharo sa, Thoda or lo sa), undivided attention/ service.

Decent service. Definite value for money.
I suggest my frnds to cum here nd njoy food.
