Oko - The Lalit Ashok, The Lalit Ashok Reviews

Original Continental food:)

Oriental foods now so popular that it is increasingly, the thirst for culinary are getting bigger & better. My best discoveries and experience are the intriguing exotic flavors.By the way, the restaurant is only open for dinner.

Great experience overall.

The best restaurant and one of the best Sushi places in town.
Always fresh with great wait staff service. My favorite place to Japanese.

Extremely nice food, gr8 place and extremely courteous staff........

Lovely place.Food at its best.Best Thai/Japanese in Bangalore. Must try!

Fine Dining at its best

We were a table of 04 and arrived without a table reservation. On a Wednesday night, I was surprised to see this place full. However, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We were not sure of what to order as the menu was so vast.

While the food was superlative, I must recommend the Soft Shell Crab and the roast duck. Being adventurous, we also tried stuff from the Malay menu and as a regular traveller, I must admit - the chefs have done a great job in replicating the international dishes locally. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and I will certainly return.

Lovely dining -OKO

We had a wonderful experience at Oko on Monday with some of my friends from Delhi. Not only the restaurant's ambience is so nice but we loved the food and the way it was presented. Chicken Satay was owesone and so were the tempura.I would definitely refer this restaurant.

About 12 of us recently dined at OKO. The only common drink we had was water which was not bottled. All restaurants provide filtered water even if bottled water is not requested. This does not seem to be the case with this restaurant which claims to be 5 star. Exactly 48 hours later all 12 of us experienced very severe symptoms of vomiting, diarrhea, and some of us fever. A 5 star restaurant service does not mean gourmet sized, highly priced items of food served in a pleasant ambience. It means the clients right to expect 100% hygiene to begin with. I would not recommend this restaurant if you wish to keep your stomach healthy. Sheela

No ko !

My first visit to this place must admit stunning ambience the place is large and has a lot of elements build into one space kudos to the design team

Unfortunately all the wow ends there service is slow and food lacks flavour completely
Menu hardly moves out of china, Thailand and a bit of sushi (sushi I must admit was the only dish on our table that was nicely done !!) so really does not offer you any thing unique / exciting to live up to The pan Asian tag !!
Whilst the portion size and presentations are decent the food makes no impact on account of taste and flavour

Pretty disappointing for the spend of almost 2000 rs person

Beautiful restaurant ..

Nice, well designed restaurant. For a occasional evening out, would recommend this place. The food was tasty .. tried out the thai recipes as Thai food festival was going on. The service was also very good, attentive staff. Did not care for the music that was being played, but liked everything else.
They have thai, chinese and japanese menu. Will be going back to try out the ones I missed :)

Yeah! Another sushi restaurant in Bangalore

I'm an avid sushi lover and feel like I've been going through withdrawal in Bangalore since I'm accustomed to having sushi pretty frequently in NYC. Oko is located on the top floor of the Lalit Ashok hotel and has stunning views. The design of the restaurant itself is very hip and posh. A visit to the restrooms is even worthwhile! There is a great bar for pre-dinner drinks as well.

Had some good sushi and hand rolls, some beef teppanyaki, chicken satays, and noodles. Love having lots of ethnic options in Bangalore.

makes you feel welcome...

one of the most stylish looking restaurants in the city.. with decent oriental food... slightly on the higher priced restaurants for regular use... will go here on special occasions...

There are a handful restaurants in this town that can make me feel poor, underpaid, deprived all at once. OKO did. Am I a value for money oriented person, I'd like to think if I'm getting super quality, it pays to spend extra, but this new Asian restaurant seems to have lifted the right column of its menu from Tokyo.
The setting is spectacular, I like it better than Shiro anyday, but a tad misplaced at a hotel that doesn't keep up. The service was efficient, given that there were very few tables, and the food was okay. Had the pricing been better, I may have given it an extra star or perhaps more, but at the rates charged, no way. I'll skip the bill for two, fly to Mumbai and Eat at Wasabi instead next time.

Cool Ambience - Good Food

Visited OKO last friday for dinner, we reached the place around 8.30, preferred to sit in the open area, the place is neat, comfortable seating and stylish decor.
Had some fruit juice, which was normal :-)
We ordered some starters, it was good, and so was the main course. (we ordered only vegetarian dishes)
everything is expensive though - the 5 star effect!!
they served some complimentary fries which were excellent (we liked them better than our thai starter).
the staff very helpul and they help you select the dishes...overall a good experience!

Asia on a platter
