My husband and I are seafood freaks. We saw the "...Coastal Cuisine" part of the board and went in with high hopes. The disappointment was so huge that our moods for the entire day were ruined!!! The Squid Chilly was overcooked and tasted like Rubber Manchurian, the Clam Sukka must have yielded less than 2 spoons of clam meat. It was 95% masala and extremely oily at that. The Neer Dosa we ordered came after about half a century and looked like it had been removed from the fridge and heated -- was lumpy and unappetizing! And 90 Rs for the salty jal jeera -- which I didn't take more than a sip of -- was insult to injury.
The kumar sanu kind of music from long-forgotten 80s Hindi films, gave it a roadside chai-tapri feel. Although the waiter was courteous and apologized for the late service, it didn't make the food taste any better.
The only good thing about the place is the clean restroom. Go there only if you badly need to relieve yourself and don't mind spending 800 rupees for it!!!
Great Seafood Joint
I have gone through all the reviews about Parika Seafood, still i went last week. Its a great place. I ordered for crabs butter garlic, prawns ghee roast, and sannas (a rice dumplings in manglorean style)........oops!! Its out of the world. I would like to come back with my family once again. All the previous reviews would be fake for sure. Jhuma
Good food (Buffet)
We went there for our office party lunch ..We all wanted to try something new and hence we decided to check this place but the only thing going against our decision was the reviews here but still we thought to take the risk, to our luck the risk paid off. The place had quite a noticing ambiance and the buffet meal served was excellent. The best thing I liked about the food was Mangolorian fish curry and the choice of items, overall we all liked this place and so our team thumbs up for this. My team (14 ppl) and I will be rating this place 4 star for the quality and hygiene offered.
What the heck ...the whole restaurant is marketed as a seafood joint but there was no sign of it in the buffet. For 275 bucks you would expect some decent options of atleast fish curry and a fried seafood but all we got was bland run of the mill north indian food. The 2 stars are for the decent decor and the ok service. But the food and the pricing is a big let down. I have chosen of the ala carte menu during my earlier visits and that too was not anything to rave about. Coming back to the buffet: The so called welcome drink was a horrible fruit punch!!! for pete's sake at least give something authentic like a sol kadi...there a was list of chef's reccomendation on the table that were mostly the usual chicken kholapuri and veg jaipuri??? why on earth would i spend that kind of ,money for that kind of food when i can get better tasting food down the road at punjabi rasoi for half the price?? give the cusotmer good fish options in a so called seafood restuarant............please
Food was awful
I and my friend visited this place and ordered Fish and Mutton biryani. The Mutton was not prepared properly since it was very rubbery! The fish and the masala on it was smelling & tasting a bit raw too!
Price was steep for the food delivered. Decor and service is good; but the food was awful. We had to leave without completing our meal!
Not for me!
Good place to be!
I had gone to Parika with my colleagues on Friday. they have a lunch buffet there with a combination of mangalorean food and north Indian touch. some of the food on the menu were served cold, but the taste was pretty good. their fish curry and the chicken pepper were delicious. so was their biriyani. the service of the place was also fine with the waiters coming up to you and always asking if anything more is needed. the interiors in the place also gives a real feel good factor.
