What a Great Meal and Service

After having a terrible experience of Rajdhani in Meenakshi Mall Outlet, we decided to go back to our favorite outlet at Central Mall in JP Nagar,

The food as usual has loads of flavors and Variety, What sets apart from other locations is the service you get.

I would like to mention special thanks to Santosh and Sameer from this outlet for taking good care of the customers, They make you feel right at home.

If anyone from Rajdhani Management is looking at this review, You should call this outlet and thank Santosh and Sameer for the quality services they are providing to the customers.

New Venues in Bengaluru Awaited....

Dear Rajdhani team,

Can we expect an outlet in Gopalan Arch Mall, Mysore Road, Bengaluru ?

Only disappointing thing at Rajdhani (Mantri Mall) was very fast service....... I mean, we feel like, the Rajdhani team is trying to send us out of the table as early as possible. Children and all of us will take their own sweet time to relish the dishes. But the servers will be in a hurry........

Been Here...Don't Want it Anymore...

I had been to Rajdhani a couple of times and the experience so far has been I would say 'going downhill'. Like they say the first time is
always the best wouldn't be wrong.

Firstly I would say the best part of the thali would be the anticipation of getting so many varieties as you see so many tiny cups on the plate leaving almost no space to eat. Only after some time you know your anticipation was short lived.
The point of serving in teaspoons kind of doesn't seem very hospitable or welcoming to me.
A half full or half empty glass of some sherbet welcomes you followed by a spoon of salad a slice of onion and a wedge of lemon. Then come the starters, maybe a dhokla or some pakodas followed by a cup of some dahi pokoda. Then the Dal Baati Churma( Always ). They always serve you Gatte ki sabji, Sangri Ki Sabji, Papad ki Sabji, Kadi, Meethi Dal, Teekhi Dal and the other two or three items always taste the same .. don't know why?? The rotis, well they are kinda small almost like 4 inches
in diameter, the paranthas were uneven and not evenly cooked. You may eat about 8-10 phulkas which adds up to my mothers single chappati at home. I don't know why the guy serving the phulkas put the desi ghee
from almost over my head on my roti. Looked like he was tired of bending down to bring the spoon closer to my roti. Same case with the guy serving the watery rabdi on my jalebi. The rice was cold and the khichdi only reeked of haldi. Bland would be an understatement. The buttermilk was good but they could ease up on the
masala a bit. The icing on the cake is definitely the sweets but you see after paying Rs 395+taxes for a vegan
thali its not really worth it. Don't plan to go again this lifetime.

A must Visit !

1. Is it easy to find - Very easy since it is located in a mall, you can't miss it :)
2. Atmosphere - Excellent! Great ambiance and a great place to be !
3. Menu - The place offers unlimited thali's which basically comprises of traditional Rajasthani and Gujarati food.
4. My Order - Thali :P It tasted yummy and delicious and succulent !
5. Service - Great! They serve you with love, and believe me, they will not let you leave until you are extremely and I emphasize, extremely full! Even though it seems like they are in a rush to get you out, they actually are not. and that rush adds up to a rustic feeling of enjoying your food under all circumstances.
6. Bar - NA
7. Price - Moderate.
8. Conclusion - All vegetarians, Rajasthani, Gujarati, everyone, should go there at least once (even though I have already been there more than once) !

Great place for Thalis

I am personally not a fan of veg food , but after visiting this place I have started adoring the veg thaali alot. They serve the traditioanal rajasthani and gujrati dishes with so much love here and so much variety wow. I love the experience here. Also it is a lil pocket friendly too.. A must visit for every veggie lover and an occasioanal visit by a non veg foodie.

A Delight for Veggies!!!

Today me and my wife had been to Rajdhani in Central Mall JP Nagar. We had a very brief discussion over whether to go for nonveg or veg food. Frankly speaking i am a hard core non vegiterian, but as you all must knew it.....u can never win a argument with ur wife :)....hence we decided to go for Rajdhani as my wife wanted to to have veg food. when we reached there it was jam packed and we waited for 10 mins.

I hate waiting for 10 mins as i was so damn hungry. Finally we go a seat and food being server to us immediately. There were lots of items and each one of them were so damn good. we both had a very good time there and even if i am a non vegetarian i still like the food.

i wud love to visit here once again!!!!

Decent food.

Nice food and good service :) Eat as much as you want and they still keep insisting that you have one more roti, one more puri, a little more ghee.. :P
A pretty decent place to have gujrati/rajasthani food and to treat your Indian desi taste buds.

Decent food. But not big on comfort or service

I went to Rajdhani in 4th Floor, Bangalore Central (JP Nagar) recently. It was a family outing and we went as a group of 10.
My major discomfort/complaint to the management is that they rush the service a little too much. Maybe it is because they are quite full most of the times, and there are people waiting, and so on. However, it still should never be forgotten that people who come to eat out, want to enjoy the food, the time out together and that is of the most primary objective in todays' times.
It may be different with other people, but I believe if I cannot sit with my friends and family chat a while, and have a happy hour or two together, it is not worth no matter how good the food is, and other things are.
In this case, the Rajdhani folks make it extremely stressful in the sense that everything is in fast-forward.
The food .. I have no complaints about. The people are generally courteous and good. The price point also sits up nicely.
If only Rajdhaani can let people sit a little more leisurely, and serve things and get things done at normal speed, it will be a lot more relaxing experience.

I wanted to give a 3.5, because the place is good for most people. But if you want to really have a quiet, relaxing time out with family, maybe you will be disappointed.

Nothing outstanding...

I know tastes are very subjective, but I do not get the appeal of this place. When i tried the food, I could'nt help thinking that it's just a selection of perfectly normal everyday indian food laced with a LOT of oil and salt - which is the only source of flavor... Not worth it i'd say...but then again that's only just my opinion.

hi, today i recieved a maik saying there is a buy 1 get 1 thali offer for today and tomorrow. I called up rajdhani restaurant guys and confirmed abt the same. There were no preconditions mentioned in the mail likewise we need to show the mail/inform them about the offer. We went in a group of six and had dinner. At the end when the bill arrived, the bill was quoted for 6 thali's. when asked abt the offer showing them the email from our mibile. they created hungama saying.. u never informed us before. they also started like.. we cant revert now.. u have to pay the fll amt.. if u wanna have the offer,u can again revisit tomorrow to avail the same offer. This is rediculous. At the end we are forced to pay the entire bill. If you are not entitled to provide such offers, please do not encourage them.

Didn't feel like a Rajdhani..

This was my first visit to Rajdhani. Ours and another family had been here for lunch. What was a big put off as we entered itself was the cramped place. Add to that the pretty loud noises of the other customers, skepticism had begun to take shape...

Before the start of the meal, we were waiting for a drink, which is usually served at most restaurants. Didn't get any. The servers seemed like they could use a good training course on better serving. They came, blabbered something about the food items (which none of us could understand) and served them.

Now, about the food, I was awestruck. Not very positively though. A piece of Boiled Corn for a starter? You must be joking. And I didn't come to "Rajdhani" to eat a badly boiled, bland piece of corn.
The other items were quite decent. I did like the Kadhi especially. The Phulkas were very good, as was the buttermilk.

One major issue was cleanliness. I definitely don’t expect myself or anyone else to wash hands anywhere within at least 6ft of my plate. The tables were very close to each other. Even as we were in the middle of our meal, the waiter came with the mobile wash basin to our neighbouring table. Instead of enjoying our meal, we were carefully watching for any of that water that might have been falling onto our plates. Kindly tell me how one would even feel like continuing with the meal in such a situation...

Another thing I must point out is the mismatch between the size of the bowls in which the sides are served and the spoons - it makes for difficult eating.

We came to Rajdhani after having heard about it quite a lot. Now, all of it seems like a white wash.
I would definitely think twice before coming here again...

Shame on the chain

Have been having food at this well known chain right from the time they started at Crawford Market in Mumbai. But have to say that this one at Jayanagar is a shame on the chain. Never before has Rajdhani disappointed me - and i hope that this will be a one off experience. Here's why:
We land up on Sunday afternoon for lunch with my friend and her family. Though the menu shown outside was something, stuff served was different. Imagine one of the subji served is pav bhaji (without the pav). They have a kathol, bataka nu shak and then the most special dish was a turay subji. Starter was boiled corn cut to pieces and sweet dish was jalebi and clear left over (moong+carrot+lauki halwa). For the price they charge, it was fleecing. And to think of it that they can get away with anything on the plate. Service was at its pathetic best. Had to wait for everything while seeing their all famous sign language displayed. Well they did try with curd rice may be to divert the attention. Clearly the worst thali i have ever had in my life. Doubt if this one is a genuine Rajdhani at all. Two families will certainly will not return to this joint ever.

A good place for the big appetites. Don't think there is any other place in Bangalore that serves so close to authentic Rajasthani food.
The prices are very reasonable and the service is good.

I had been to their new Jayanagar outlet located at Bangalore Central premises for X'mas lunch. I am really amazed by their quick and efficient service and this is the Rajdhani trademark. They also serve the most authentic Gujarati food at Bangalore. High Fives, all the way!

This place is pure vegetarian and I like my chicken and fish. And still, I was floored by the hospitality and food.
For an authentic (North West Indian) meal, this place is a must visit. It is an all you can eat Thaali and the waiters give you the feel of eating at a relatives home, where even though you are full, food will automatically keep appearing on your plate. I finally had to plead with them to stop serving and the waiter gave me a look which reminded me of my favourite aunt when I refuse to eat any more of her homemade food.
All in all a great place to eat, and very moderately priced.

Dear Guest,

We are happy to know that you had a great time at Rajdhani and loved our hospitality. Our USP being great food and excellent hospitality, we will ensure that you have a great time at all your future visits.

Filling, but Unfulfilling

The emergence of Rajdhani in the food court scene has been very promising. Backed by rave reviews & a packed house on most occasions similar to that of a Rajinikanth starrer is a dream run for the owners & a “pack your bag & go home” sort of experience for the competition. “Rajdhani this! Rajdhani that! reached my ears many times & I finally made time to be there for lunch on a weekday last week.

All the tables were occupied except for a four seater, which soon became ours. The rest who followed us had to wait outside for their turn. Maroonish boutique print on the wall & bright yellow lighting make the décor. Rajdhani did not offer us a chance to fiddle with the crockery or play tabla on the table as food started flowing right from the minute we were seated. The small cups were filled in a jiffy with Varuval, Tomato kofta, Potato curry, Mutter Paneer, Sweet Dal, Kadi & Spicy dal. The gravies were followed by Mutter roll & Tri colored Dhokla, accompanied by tamarind chutney & pudhina chutney. Coin size Kerala sweet parotas, Phulka & Bajra roti were already knocking the door as dhokla managed its way down the food pipe. The soft Pulkas were excellent & were edible even without the mediocre mutters & koftas. Bajra rotis were served with jaggery & butter. Hot, but flavorless kichidi was next in line along with dry & undercooked rice. The sweet dal was below average, the kadi was nothing but unseasoned morekuzhambu & the spicy dal was watery. We reached the climax with curd rice & a sweet of our choice. Quantity was filling, but the basic quality attributes that make a wholesome meal were unfulfilled. The wait staff was friendly in general, but some had no clue about the offerings. We were offered a colonial facility to wash hands, but I chose the wash room instead as I live in a democratic setup.

The concept of serving unlimited food is not Rajdhani’s brain child, yet it stands tall due of the lack of a smart competition. Is this glory just a fad? , Will Rajdhani live to see generations? Only time & the birth of new ideas will play judge, until then I will use it like BSNL of the Pre-Airtel era.

'Express' food

Nice food and everything, decent price, somewhat authentic taste and all... BUT...

the only time one would get to even think or breathe would be just before one's behind hits the seat and while walking out after paying the bill... everything in between is just a haze, as the various waiters fill the umpteen little bowls on the plate with impressive speed and aim.
