The best place for a Seafood lover
Had been to this place twice with my colleagues. The ambience rocks and the outdoor seating has been done up very well. A huge aquarium greets you as soon as you enter, and that pretty much sets the pace of your dining experience.
We had ordered their Seafood platter, which was divine. We also went for the Bangda curry done in Mangalorean style and it was awesome. The service is top notch and to top it all, the taste lingers with you long after you had your food :)
Though a bit expensive, considering the seafood served is fresh, don't mind it at all.
Man this is one place which is gonna be my favourite for seafood.
Ordered the butter garlic crab, Mussel fry, Silver fish and a chicken starter. The chicken was nothing great to write about but the crab and fish were amazing. Probably the best butter garlic crab i have ever tasted. The mussels were done nicely though there was a tad bit more of the coconut masala which overpowered the taste of the Mussels. The silver fish fry was just right. The neer dosa and sanna are the best that one can ever get in blore. Must visit place for any sea food lover. The experience just makes you want to come back for more. The restaurant is a tad bit pricey though but every rupee spent is worth it..
Good coastal food
I go to sanadige whenever i crave fish, and it is a delightful place with good seafood. The only problem i have is that the service is quite pathetic and indifferent and i have experienced it each time. Wish they really pull themselves up and make the dining experience more pleasant.
This restaurant is something else! We were all surprised that none of us (except for Sammie, who came with his friends a few weeks ago and then told us how deadly the food was) heard about this gem of a restaurant even though it has been around for 7 years. There are many restaurants - especially the ones who are part of hotels which do get mileage because of their ads. This is what pulled me to Sana-di-ge. I must say that the decor is pleasing. I liked the fresh catch that they place at the entrance. The seating is semi-outdoor and good. Staff are well groomed and knowledgeable
Where the let down happens is on the food. I did not find the fish fresh - I had ordered Goan Fish Curry - which I feel is an easy dish to make and one has to try rather hard to mess it up. But the fish spoilt it. I also felt that the coconut used was not of the best quality
I lied a Fried Prawn starter that I had ordered along with it though. There definitely are better sea food places around. So....
Yesterday I visited Sana-di-ge hotel. Awesome place. We were planning to visit some other restaurant, on our way we saw this hotel, attracted by its name plate we decided to give a try. We were welcomed by the man who dressed up in a traditional Kerala style. Both the section, Open space as well as the inside ambience was good, it has an ethnic touch. We tried out Pomplet Masal Fry,Nati Kori Gassi, Neer Dosa and Boiled Rice. I belong to the costal part of Karnataka where Neer Dosa is part of the breakfast. The taste was exactly same as home made. Not to forget Pomplet Masala Fry. It was yummy and fish was very fresh. So next time when any one visits this place dont forget to taste Neer Dosa and Fish Masala Fry. I bet youll never regret. Yes it is bit expensive but value for money. Service was also excellent. Was happy we made a good choice and sure Ill return to this ethnic place again.
Good karavali cuisine..
I have been here once upon recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed.We tried neer dose with fish curry(anjal or pomfret) and prawn platter, both were good and spicy. If you order a crab they would show you the crab first before making a masala out of it....weird :)...restaurant has a bar as well with wines and other liquors...the staff is dressed with Panche and white shirts with betel nut tree leaf skull cap....meal for two would cost about 1000 INR..must try if you are a connoisseur for karavali cuisine....
