Pan Asian buffet!

Really nice Pan Asian buffet. I thought it to be quite VFM as well for just 349 + tax. Very nice options and delicious food, I specially loved the soup and starters on the spread. Also, special mention about the service. The staff is really nice and courteous.

Must visit

Love their menu...love the variety they serve. I have been here a couple of times and ordered the same items since I loved it so much the first time...crab fritters, chilli fish for starters, steamed phuket fish and stir fried lamb along with butter garlic noodles for main course. Every item tasted really nice. The service is great too. No complains. Keep up the good work Team Shitakke.

Nice Food Super Services........

Excellent ambiance and very friendly staff made our evening very special. Main menu, primarily Chinese and Thai, offered large variety for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The range of starters offered needs special mention here. At a point we were wondering if we would ever reach the main course ;-) Food was good and well presented. For those who wanted alcoholic drinks, they could either walk into the Shitake lounge bar aside or request staff to serve on the table.

Must Try!!!!!!!!!

SHITakke

I was grossly disappointed with the food and service at this place, especially considering all the 5-star reviews here. These reviews are clearly written by the management's PR team or by folks who have tasted nothing close to good Chinese/Pan-asian food.

We went for the afternoon non-veg buffet and the food was loaded with MSG, ajinomoto and everything that makes you feel overwhelmed. This is a classic move by any buffet place that wants it patrons to feel "full" really soon. They were really successful in this endeavor as we felt like puking by the end of round 2.

The spread was pathetic for the price: 2 indo-chinese manchurian-style dishes, 2 standard schezwan-type sauces, noodles and rice without a hint of flavor/taste, weird smelling thai curry and a few ordinary-tasting salads. For desserts, few pieces of unripened fruits and a strawberry-cream cake conforming to roadside bakery standards.

They could not even splurge on a plain-old vanilla ice cream to wash down the taste of this abomination they call food. They also serve chicken and veg dimsum at your table, but the only problem is they DON'T serve dimsum at their establishment at all. In fact, they have never even encountered a dimsum by chance, as they were serving momos.

The service was pathetic. The waiter promised to bring soup to the table, but he totally forgot us or did not really bother. Skipping the soup might be a blessing in disguise, considering the taste of the food here. Also, every time I went to the buffet line, I could see at least one try empty, hallmark of a mismanaged place.

In spite of a 25% discount through poshvine, the bill came to about 830 bucks for two adults. 1 liter of mineral water was priced at 80 bucks. Although the price is advertized at 375+ taxes on Fri-Sun, they charge you extra for VAT, service charge and some other extra fancy-shamsy charge I cannot even remember. At about Rs.470 per head, I can find more innovative/fulfilling ways to burn money.

To summarize, I'd say stay away from this place and do tell your friends to do the same.

Hi

We are extremely sorry that you did not like the food at Shitakke.
Most of our buffet dishes tries to strike a balance between
authenticity and local taste. Our lunch buffet is priced extremely
attractively and we are packed for all weekday lunches. This is a
great testimonial that we have stroked the right chord with our
patrons. So for you to comment the high ratings are managed will be
unfair, both for us and the patrons who love us.

We have passed your feedback on Dim sums, Salads and Thai Curry

Thank you, but NO thank you! I don't think your a la carte offering will magically remove the bitter taste of the buffet experience!

Pan Asian at its best!

Classy decor, warm staff and outstanding food and I mean truly outstanding...I am a a fan of all things oriental, specially their food and a Chinese Restaurant is the first choice (always) for family dine outs. Five of us visited this restaurant within The Park Square Mall last Sunday and the were bowled away. I can safely say its one of the best Pan Asian restaurants that I have visited in Blore. Lovely flavours and awesome food. Must visit for all those who love South East Asian cuisines. And I agree with the gentleman below...quite easy on the pocket :)

Excellent

My husband and I went to Shitakke for a quiet dinner for our anniversary on 28th June. Not only was the food fantastic but the ambience is elegant and posh and yes, reserved; the service is great. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. My only complaint would be that the service staff took on the butler aura very seriously and could have done with some welcoming smiles.

Overall an excellent experience and not TOO hard on the pocket either (surprisingly!).

Amazing Spread @ just 299/-

Shitakke, Whitefield has this amazing offer of all you can eat buffet at just Rs 299/-. I believe this is the best VFM lunch you can have in Whitefield and especially if you are working in ITPL or in its vicinity. We were four of us including 1 veggie friend and were delighted by the huge spread of savoury and tasty far eastern delicacies which includes Chicken, Fish and Lamb. Vegetarians had their share of fun with Stir Fired exotic vegetables and Tofu in black bean sauce. Service was quick and efficient. We learned from the restaurant Manager that this offer is there in all days of the week. I am going to get all my friends this weekend.

Tasty, Flavorful, Variety of Food!

As you enter through the not so glamorous corridor, you are welcomed with an imposing yet serene Buddha statue. The bar is currently empty as they do not have a license for alcohol. They have just opened about 40 days back. This is a branch of the Shitakke that has opened in Bellandur Central Mall.

The decor is simple and elegant with huge windows overlooking the IT park at the back. Good that they have blinds to prevent the harsh summer sun! One corner is reserved for buffet which runs its course through out the week at 379++ (Mon-Thu) and 499++ with Sushi and unlimited mocktails (Fri-Sun).

The buffet spread is large with 5 salads, sushi, 5 starters, a soup, and 6 main courses with rice. I highly recommend this to all who want value for money!

The menu is large, yet simple to navigate through. Majority of the dishes are Chinese, followed by Thai and surprisingly some Malay, Indonesian and Korean as well!

I decided to go for the a la carte! I started with some Pattaya Chicken. The name sounded interesting. Green color marinated chicken. Had a hint of coconut to it, some spicy kick and overall very well cooked. For my main course I had a sea food Kway Teow, an Indonesian Prawn Curry, burnt Garlic fried rice and Jap Chae Korean noodles. I think the only thing that I avoided was thai. However I should have tried that as well since I loved every dish that I tasted!

The service was a bit slow, maybe because they have just opened. The servers are patient and warm but a little bit dumb.

The indonesian prawn curry was to die for. The flavours sweet and spicy, not too tangy with the right amount of shrimp paste to give it that kick. The color was a blend of the green and yellow curry.

The rice was spot on. Not too much burnt garlic and not too many veggies. i like my rice with minimal veggies! :)

The Sea food Kway Teow looked as if they had a chef from outside India making it! It was soo much like what you would get from abroad! I am not going to even try and describe it here. All I will say is that it is a must try!

I had never had Jap Chae before and so I tried it. The hot spice was very much liked by my tongue and by my tummy! It was another dish that I have learnt and put in my repertoire of ordering every time I will go somewhere!

I was too full to try the dessert!

One thing I missed was Chinese tea to wash all this down!

But one place which is true to both the Indian taste yet keeping in mind the overall authenticity!
