The Coyote Ugly Nov 29

  • Humour Me and The Lalit Ashok Bengaluru present The Coyote Ugly. What comes to mind when you hear the words ‘Coyote Ugly’? The early 2000 rom-com, with the lead actress singing and dancing to ‘Can’t Fight The Moonlight’ on top of a bar with a roaring audience?

Or perhaps the famous Coyote Ugly Saloons (New York City)- Jaw-dropping models with their perfected routines of dancing on the bar, singing, and challenging customers to drinking contests!

Well, for the most part you’re right…except we added one minor tweak.

The show takes digs at the ethics behind drinking, a lack of stimulating pub culture, night life options and what it means to be young, alive and have no options in a city! The show does some sketch comedies on the 'Perception' boys have when out drinking, and how they are actually perceived at large by others 'Reality'. The bar becomes the stage with alcohol being the perfect social lubricant to warm up the crowd and prepare them for what's in store.

The Coyote Ugly presents the nit witted, master of a semi-sarcastic deadpan observation, 'The Anglo Goan' Clifford Afonso along with his equally ridiculously unapologetic rabid toothless bulldog, North Indian brother, 'the Gunda of all Gurudwaras' Mr. Dhruv Sachdeva

A hilarious variety with two of the funniest comedians whose on stage persona lash out on modern culture and everyday life. Watch these 2 nut jobs tackle absurd notions of growing up in the city and laughing in the face of New Delhi’s everyday unchanging uncertainty.

Performers: Dhruv Sachdeva and Clifford Afonso

    Time: 8.30pm onwards

    Tickets: Rs. 500

Flop Ladies Nite

Girls !!!! if u planning to go for their so called Ladies nite please do not waste your time . I was there with my girls for ladies nite and it was quite boring . They offered one cocktail which wasn't well made . So I guess there are much better and fun places in bangalore for ladies nite than sutra . Cheers !!

The place is small but well spaced out tables and also have a nice outdoor lounge seating...The music was too loud for a lounge...nothing to write home about the music too (were playing remixed Hindi numbers) it was best to sit outside where you can talk and also listen to the music...their range of beers / wines is decent but nothing out of the ordinary...their food platters are good but small in portions...wasn't crowded at all on a Sunday is perfect for a quite evening out with friends or for a couple without having to hustle through crowd...Prices are expensive as it is inside a starry hotel...Staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly and good and quick service...
(we had problems getting in and the parking as there was a extra large wedding at the hotel)
