The 13th Floor presents to you Happy Hours from 5pm to 7pm, get 30% off alcohol!
What a View!
Probably one of the best places I have been to in Bangalore. It checks all the things you are looking for - ambiance, music, food, service, et all. I celebrated my birthday there on a Saturday and they charged us a cover charge-which could be used not just for drinks but for food as well. Got the balcony view seat and it was breathtaking. Yeah the view is good but I am sure had it been any other place and not 13th floor, it would have gone for a waste. Reason being, the food is just brilliant. I am not a veg food fan but the veg stuff we ordered just blew me away. I wanted more and more of that. The non veg platter we ordered was amazing too. To top it all, they were playing amazing music. With some good drinks, good music, good food and good company this is one place you could spend hours and not get bored. Pocket friendly too and if you think anything on the menu looks costly, please do not think twice to order it because I am sure each and every item on the menu is worth it.
Non Halal not Served.....Why?
I have been to 13th Floor restaurant many times and I have felt they serve average food but I was shocked to hear that they serve only Halal Meat. I am not against any belief but I was appalled to hear that they provide no choice for Non-Halal meat which is not right on many fronts like informing patrons that they are being served meat from tortured animals and also not providing a choice not to have such meat. In today's world, day and age, to say that we serve meat only from non stunned tortured animals is wrong.
One of the Must Visit places in the city
The 13th floor is one of the most recommended restobar by many. There are 3 sections on the 13th floor of the Barton Center. 'The Ebony' is the main restaurant, 'On The Edge' is a lounge restaurant, and 'The 13th Floor' is a lounge bar. I was definitely more than excited when I finally made up my mind to go to this place. I called to book a table as I read that it often gets crowded.
The restaurant offers a great view of the city lines. You can see how the busy city runs in the night. That is the best part of the restaurant.
Food was good. I guess, there was no buffet option for dinner and we opted for some regular dishes. My friends took some exotic drinks recommended by the bartender himself and they liked them. I guess, one was some Margarita something :)
It is an experience that, I feel, everyone should have. Esp if you have a reason to be romantic
Recently we had been to this restaurant to celebrate our colleagues birthday. The restaurant is compact but the view of the city is good. We had a awful experience when some of our vegetarian friends were served non veg starters inspite of giving clear instructions. The staff were apologetic but this service is simply unacceptable. The pricing is high and food tastes average. This restaurant is definitely black listed. Will never recommend this restaurant to others.
The city view and cool breeze from rooftop
Being a 20 year old restaurant you will have the retro look in the restaurant. One should have a strong luck in finding a seat in the open area of the restaurant.
Good View from the roof top of the city. Only one time visit.
Nothing special that you can term must have, though, nice.
need a good music taste
well , i went there last october on my girlfriend's bday ..liked the ambience ,the staff ummm even after i made the resevations before ,the staff made us wait for like 10 to 15 mins .th food .i give a "A" .it was more than good.the drinks .. an "A" again. hope to visit again soon .
-1 for the music.. DJ should have a great taste of music. aint classic music gonna work . they should surely replace the DJ . .This DJ cant even relate to th youth .aint there oldies everywher.. peace
13th Floor is place where one can spend a liesurely evening with a couple of drinks and good food they play nice tracks in the background. The waiters are quite good at serving tables right. One place that has given Bangalore how to drink on the 13th Floor in MG road. great place
I have no freaking idea why you would have 'SHORTS' and 'SHOTS' on menu..
So here is the conversation..
ME : Are these SHOTS?
Waiter: Yes , they are SHORTS ( making a gesture resembling a shot glass)
ME: In a shot glass rite??
Waiter: Yes sir, in a SHORT glass..
ME: Okay get me 3 of these SHOTS
And I get a freaking SHORT which is not a shot and which is not a cocktail...IT was mroe like a daiquiri with tonnes of ice and chilly in it...
Not sure how to rate this overhyped place...... When I first moved to bangalore, everyone (EVERYONE) suggested me to visit 13th floor.. I found nothing great about this place....The drinks were dull, the food was mediocre and most importantly terrible crowd... Any appetizer would taste exactly the same...I cant understand how INDIAN food can be bad in INDIA....Chairs were uncomfortable and there was no privacy because the tables were way tooo close to one another..
After reading couple of reviews in Burrp, I had shortlised this restaurant and recently visited during my stay in Banglore after many many years.
The Ambience is really great... Specially the view from rooftop.. amazing view..
You can see all over banglore.... I like the sitting arrangement it was utilised properly though i had been in afternoon time there was'nt much people around..
The food quality is good..Tried Thai.. Couples of cocktails and Few other dishes
The waiters were really co-operative.
Cost Factor : Pretty expensive. For 2 people average you need to shell out around
2k without drink. :)
Will recommend to visit this place atleast ones if your around M G Road.
I have been there in the evening to celebrate our anniversary. The ambience is amazingly good there. The rooftop sitting, we can actually see the whole of the city there. Also the candle light dinner and music made the evening romantic and special. Must visit place for all the couples. The service offered here is also very good. Though it is expensive but u get everything for the money you have spent here. Loved it totally.. :)
Was looking for a good place to meet a childhood friend after five years. The 13th Floor is a very good restaurant with good food and liquor. The Nawabi Chicken was great and so was a Paneer dish. The view, no doubt, is fabulous. Though its an expensive place, you won't regret spending your money here.
Expensive but Good
Great location. Especially sitting outside for Dinner is a great experience.
The food also is very good. We have been their twice. We tried the Thai once and the Indian the next time. Both the cuisines were made well.
Definitely recommended for couples looking for a place to have a dinner date. Make sure you book a table outside well in advance as it's very crowded.
Not a pleasant experience..
cuz the Staff was rude- would show up every 15 mins to take the order eve when it was unnecessary.. and mind it the place is PRICEY and not moderately priced..
the only good thing was the view.. i expected more out of the ambience though..
okay for a visit once or twice..

Nice Place to Relax and Feel the Breeze...
It was my first visit to 13th Floor and it was wonderful... the ambiance is the USP of this roof top pub... serves exotic collection of cocktails and moctails with a non complaining service. The starters and mains were OKEY kinda of a fare... never expected a pub to create a WOW in its food... Its a must place to visit in Bangalore and take along your camera to click some nice night shots of the glittering city. That was the primary reason for my visit... Might Come back coz there are many other places to experience in Bangalore and dont want to miss those...
Disappointed on my second visit
My wife had organised a surprise birthday party for me at this very restaurant in 2009, and my family and friends had a great time then. However i guess 2 years is a long time.
i visited the restaurant again on 20th of june for lunch, with an aunt and my wife who is 7 months pregnant. our experience started going bad right from time we parked our car at the barton center basement. we had to wait for nearly 15 minutes before a hassled and overworked attendant helped us park in the overcrowded basement, that too on a weekday at around 11:30 in the morning. next the restaurant itself. as i had some bank work i sent my wife and aunt to the restaurant to be seated. they were however made to wait outside as the management folks told them that the restaurant did not open before 1230 hrs. when i came back to the restaurant at around 12 pm i literally had to beg the staff for a table for 3. mercifully the manager obliged. however, the starters from their buffet were not served to us until 1250 hrs though we kept requesting the waiting staff time and again. well i could understand that the delay was possibly as we were the first customers of the day and things were being readied for the day. eventually my wife decided to help herself. what really baffles me is the callous attitude of the waiting staff who kept insisting things would ready in 2 minutes everytime we enquired. these guys kept smriking and smiling at our discomfort. finally, the first of the starters were served more or less after we had finished our meals and were about to go in for the dessert.
next, after waiting for nearly 10 minutes for the bill to arrive, we decided to head to the conceirge desk. we were again made to wait for a further 10 minutes before the bill eventually was given to us.
while i must admit the food was excellent, the attiude of the folks looking after the customers is far from desired. i guess it was just monday blues for them. hopefully, they are more sensitive to others.
This is like so mah place....open space, amazing muxik n gr8 ambiance.
The view of the chinnaswamy stadium, the ub city and the under construction metro rail's view is amazing..The seats r damn comfortable, the food is awhsum and the staff r v amicable...
The crowd is gr8...
The best part is the view...no oda club can compensate for it.
Itz a tad bit costly though
Look out-for the view & an amazin place for ur 1st date, highly recommended.
Hi guyz, it was a sat night n I cant forget that b'coz it was my b'day my self n my frnds plan to cellebrate my b'day n we went to 13th floor it was pack at 9.30pm we thot to go some other place but the music make us to stay there n we waited n that was an awesom music thnks for ''DJ'' for making our day rocking
its really gr8 place if u r drinker.especially on IPL match days.was there for all the home matches this yr. the kind of exp u get is unforgettable. though the staff can be a bit more frndly. MUST TRY OUT-THAI STYLE VEG. gr8 drinks & amazing cocktails. if u r a non drinker please avoid & BOOK A TABLE IN ADVANCE AS U WONT GET A PLACE ON THE OUTSIDE IF U DONT.
Love the Breeze
This place is all about the outdoor patio. A view of UB City, pretty people, and decent drinks/snacks...sort of like Shiro's except higher up minus the crazy food. In any case, if you have a good group of people come early, get a seat, and enjoy some beers/smokes.
And def a good date spot.
Well in one word, the place was AWESOME...It took the maitre d' a fair amount of time to get us a table outside but considering it was a Sunday evening and we hadn't made a reservation, it was ok. Now coming to the ambience, definitely the best in Bangalore overlooking UB City and a sizeable part of Bangalore. The match was also being shown and there was a nominal cover charge of 400 bucks. THe food was heavenly ...must trys are chicken kakinada, prawns and the biryani....couldnt get to have the spare ribs but they looked good. Total tab for the three of us was 1500. Oh and plz do check the bill since we were charged for a drink we had never ordered for. Nevertheless, an evening very very well spent...Is a must-visit when in Bangalore
Sumptuous food with a great view!
This is the only restaurant in Bangalore that serves an extensive and mouth watering buffet at a price of Rs.220/- - and that too with a fabulous ambience! When i say extensive, i mean there's a choice between two cuisines and there are two to three options for desserts. At a price like this, i can only be thrilled! But make sure you go for a weekday lunch buffet as weekends are more crowded and expensive. And even better is if you book a table in advance. The high point of the restaurant is the view from top!
What a Place!! Superb!
Really nice place. Its so peaceful and a perfect spot for a date in Bangalore. Had been to this place a month ago for my friends treat, the food was good and the milieu is excellent. But the staff was not so welcoming. They were very serious and their behavior was not so good. They were little rude. Service was very very slow, but the serene environment and city lights outdo it. Staff can be little friendly, otherwise everything is perfect! Price is little high, but its totally worth it!

Fell in love with the place
We were 3 and we entered at 8:30 lucky enough to find our booked table. The view of Bangalore from 13th floor was a feast to the eyes. There were many ppl who were enjoying their drinks and smoke. After 11 pm, the night was perfect to have drinks, chicken and pork. The place is crowdedyet romantic. I was too overjoyed with the place;I was very happy that I was there. 2 french fries, chicken, pork , vodkas, beers cost us Rs.4650 which was heavy on our wallet. But this is the place where u really wanna be to enjoy a special day.
My dear 13th Floor ;D
A place were your dreams of building an empire in Bangalore unfolds (you get to to see the posh UB city buildings from here), where you can enjoy the fabulous weather of this city and have one of the best times with your loved ones, that's what 13th Floor strictly is.
Get treated like a queen/king if you are a regular here. the 13th Floor will always be my favorite single place in Bangalore.
13th Floor - Bangalore Tranquilised
The vicious circle of lifes woes and routine has made us all sick undoubtedly and a breakthough is desperately needed where one can reterospect or can be cozy with our family and friends.
Quoting the same situation mentioned above, I happen to strike out at the much talked about 13th FLOOR in Bangalore. I bet its one of the very few finest places that I have been to serving the people in the best of all the parameters, be it food, customer service, ambience or the most sought after, the location.
Overlooking at the top of the Hotel Ivory Tower at MG Road, Bangalore city seems astoundingly beautiful with lights all round delineating a whole separate run of a galaxy. A must go for a super fantabulous look n feel, good food , n hell loads of amazing cocktails.
Experimenting with a new place is always a matter of apprehension and 13th Floor being a pretty costly hang-around, I too had laid down horrors. To my luck I happen to avail a heavy discount on 13th Floor from mydala.com. To my knowledge, the discount stuff is still on with mydala.

Fantastic during Nite
It was a friday eve and we had booked table at this place as we wouldnt get a seat if we dint book it way before.
We chose the outside seating, and i loved it,The city was bathed with lightsa and the view was really amazing, we comforatbly got a seat at the corner which was not too much inbetween ppl, music is average, the coctails are good and so is the food, it will burn a hole in ur pocket if ur paying, better to go dutch, but i totally loved the place.
Its a sure winner if u want to take ur bf/gf for a romantic nite out
PERFECT for a romantic evening
Well this has gotta be the most romantic restaurant in Bangalore.A splendid choice to take your gal out for a romantic evening.I visited this place when i went out on my first date.It was just magical. The view of Bangalore could not be any better.I had kinda heard about the place and thought to give it a shot on the special day.We entered the place expecting the view to be great but it turned out to be even better.By far the BEST Ive seen.
The parapet wall..The amazing music..The view..Just to make things better,Chinnaswamy stadium was completely illuminated since there was a match going on and it could not get any better..
Awesome ambiance..Awesome view..And the Paneer starters were great..Prices are a bit on the expensive side..
But for a special reason, on a special occasion, with a special person, its nothing short of PERFECT!!
A great place to chill
I make a point to visit this place every time I visit Bangalore. The prices of items and drinks are reasonable and the ambience is great. You can step out into the open and see half the Bangalore City. The food, especially the chicken tikka is outstanding. I recommend the place to anyone and everyone visiting Banglore. On Friday nights you are likely to find the heppest Bangalore crowd in this place. I love it and Im sure you will too.
Can be better
Well, first of all the thing that struck me about this restaurant is the view. You can one half of bangalore from any place in the restaurant. Was there for lunch on the 9th of April 2009. It was my girlfriend's birthday. The place had buffet which was very reasonably priced at 199 plus taxes. Not a huge list of items to choose from but was good enough to fill up the stomach. The lamb was cooked till the right tenderness. The staff was not that agile and energetic. Was more on the lazy side, strawling to tables rather than walking straight up. Most importantly, none of them smiled. Was there music? I dont remember. Overall,a good restaurant to go to if you want to see the city. Food wise, not bad either.
This has to be one of the best views in the whole of Bangalore! I've been a huge fan of this place since the first time I went there, long before they put up those glass shield sort of things around the balcony to avoid flying french fries and runaway menu cards! The cocktails are quite good, I love the Long Island Iced Tea served at both Ebony and 13th Floor. The food is quite good too. I definitely prefer the outdoor seating, it's much nicer. Good music and awesome view!
On weekends, I doubt whether a reservation would help. It's always better to just get there a bit early!
Worst experience ever :X
Today I would like to share my experience with the viewers about 13th Floor, M.G.Road.
Yesterday Nov 25, 2008 was my first anniversary and my friends had suggested me to visit 13th Floor as it has a open terrace seating arrangement along with candle light dinner. Although, I knew it was a pub and lounge but still we wanted to enjoy the open terrace candle light dinner. Therefore, we planned to have our 1st anniversary dinner at 13th Floor.
NB: We heard that there is lot of rush there so we thought of booking the seat before hand. We called up and asked for 2 seats to be booked, they said that as it is a Tuesday there won't be any rush and we can just come along and enjoy.
We reached the place at 8:30pm and found that the terrace was full so the manager asked us to sit inside and later whenever there is some place available outside he would make proper arrangements for us. The waiter came and asked whether we would like to place some order. We ordered for some spring roll and two glasses of sprite. They served the order at around 9:00pm. In the meantime, my hubby had asked others, who were attending outside to arrange for some seat as soon as any customer leaves. We saw new people coming and they got the seats outside and we were still sitting inside.
We finished the snacks by 9:30pm and were still waiting for someone to attend us as well. We found people who had ordered drinks were served properly. Till 10:00pm no one came to our seats to ask if we would like to order something else.
After waiting for 1.5 hrs there I got very annoyed and wanted to speak to the manager. I went up to the manager and told him about the services they provided to us. He then immediately managed two seats outside which was empty from the past 45 min and asked us to be seated there. My husband and I was totally annoyed at this and we decided to walk out from that place. And finally, we settled down our bills and we walked out of the lounge.
It was a very special day for us and the most happiest moment of our life. We went to 13th Floor with lots of hope and dreams about the place. After such a bad experience I would recommend people who are non-drinkers please try avoiding this place. They made our special day so painful that we would always remember our 1st anniversary with lots of anger, tears and frustration. Our experience about the 13th Floor is aweful.
one of the customer of 13th Floor
To start of, it was not planned, we just thought of taking a sneak-peak inside 13thFloor, and viola, we find the most amazing view!!! Bangalore looks beautiful from up there!!
It was around 6:30, weather was perfect, it had just rained, and there was a rainbow across the green fields, what more could u ask for!!!
It has two sections, interiors are sophisticated & comfortable, and external ambiance is stylish yet simple... I would recommend sitting outside!!
Started of with a dry martini and a kamakoze and ended with amazing tandoori chicken, Chicken Tikka (Called as something else) is highly recommended!!!
Perfect place for a date!!
13th Floor, no other options in B'lore
Since you don't have any other option in Bangalore, I mean a good "Fine Dine" place on a high rise, 13th floor stills the show.
Service is awful, food is just OK, and actually the expectation was much higher as I heard much about this place.
But if you have already been to some of those places like the Pearl of Orient at The Ambassador, Mumbai (the revolving roof top restaurant on Marine Drive) or at the Deck, The Crown at Residency Tower, Chennai, you will be disappointed with the view, the class, the quality of food and services you get on 13th floor.
I can blame to myself only!!
There aren't too many bars around Southern India that may be termed 'magical'. The Waterfront in Hyderabad and The Harbour Room in Colombo come to mind. If you're in Bangalore, however, do come to The 13th Floor. These people really have a great thing going at the Barton Center. On one side, Ebony. On the other, the 13th floor. As you may already have gathered, no place offers a view of Bangalore as wonderful as this.
I really don't know about the food. Must be good, considering the Ebony association. My advice is, grab a bottle of KF and sit on a bench hugging the parapet. Or a Long Island Iced Tea. The music is retro-cool, and the view of a bejewelled Bangalore coupled with a cool breeze will ensure that you never forget this place.
Charming, enigmatic to all senses..
...Yes your tongue won't be spared either 1
!3th floor...my my...what can be said about this ethereal place...utmost romantic lounge with a surpassing view of MG road ..
I walked in around 8 and the place was nearly full and smoke filled. Across the balustrade i see a view of bangalore like i had never seen before...a road with a few glittering moving lights of the vehicles, silhouette of buildings with a few lit up apts. and of trees.
the most obvious choice of table was along the parapet. A mild pollution free breeze running through your hair and slow songs..perfect sky lounge
I ordered for a long island ice tea and asked the steward to keep it strong and delicious and so it was. one the best ones i have had ;)
next for starters i ordered for chicken dish*(apologies for being unable to recollect the name...) and requested that my order should be tender chicken... in some time my dish arrives..looks delectable(the candle light made it glow "wink" "wink") and with the slightest effort it smoothly can be cut with a fork!!! voila! As I put it in the mouth i realize my taste buds are in for a treat..a chicken so tender, juicy and succulent...it so smoothly melted in the mouth....the dainty was extremely pleasing to the gastronomical senses.
I loved the place, the courteous people beautiful ambiance and delicious food...a rare combination..
It is advisable to make a reservation in advance, esp. for weekends cause there is no table available( well, for obvious reasons...)
A meal for two would cost 800-1200 atleast thats for the weekends where they have cover charges of 400bucks per head.
I would highly recommend it that one must visit it if not much then atleast once.
psst...they also arrange for a cake and bouquet if you want to give a surprise to your spl. someone...
It is a good place to unwind, relax, catch up with old friends, spend some quality time with your friends/spouse/partners.
Hope you enjoy as much as I did :)
sit..unwind and enjoy the drinks and view!
Had heard a lot about 13th Floor but got to check out the place recently. Strategically located on the 13th Floor, it not only offers a beautiful view but also good food and amazing drinks. Anyone who loves good ambiance and music should visit this place at least once!
