Beautiful ambiance - lovely place

This is a review of TGH during one of the events hosted by them. So the menu selections and options were pre-decided.

The place is made up on this large area on Lavelle Road, which has seating downstairs and outdoors and is partially open air on the second level. It’s very tastefully done, keeping to elegant simplicity. They have their own deli which makes custom cakes and desserts and on the day of my visit they had bright orange colored pumps on the window! We had an extremely late lunch around 4. We got the Cheese Lollipops, they quite literally looked exactly like pops and Beef Carpaccio, which was delicious and a perfect starter. Then came chicken in mustard sauce, a slightly rare combination, but the preparation wasn’t as Bengali as it sounds! In fact, the mustard sauce tempered with honey gave the chicken a nice sweet tinge. Then we got the meat sliders, small mini burgers with fillings, good if you like the meat a little cooked and juicy. And there were croquettes and margarita pizza, presented beautifully and tasted very cheesy, melting in my mouth. The portions aren’t huge of course, that’s a given in any fine dining place. Their plates and glasses have their insignia, which is kind of cute. But the preparation and presentation are both very nice.

I recommend this place for dates and even to hang out on a lazy afternoon. Beautiful ambiance.

Courteous service

The staff seem rather courteous. But of course difficult to get a place in the front on a weekend.
