Awesome Place

Today I visited Coffee day square near UB city with my family and it was a great experience. Nice staff and special thanks to Sanjeet, the manager of The Square for his hospitality. Hope they will maintain the same for the future. Love The Square Coffee Day.

Greet your mornings with some yummy breakfast

The new Rise and Shine menu promises the perfect start to your day and does so. I tried the Good Morning America” which consisted of eggs, potatoes and chicken sausage while my friends tried the a la carte options. The eggs were delicious as were the sausages and the waffles with blueberry sauce.
What caught my fancy were the single origin coffees - the strong Colombian Supremo perks you up for the day ahead.
Waiting for a lazy Sunday morning to go try out the other dishes on the menu.

Certainly not 'Rise and Shine'

I went to this place to try out their breakfast menu. and :(

To start off with , at 9 in the morning, the table were not clean.
The place seems to understaffed in the morning - it took them 20 minutes to take an order and another 50 minutes to get the breakfast . And it was confusion galore

4 tables around us had orders mixed up or incomplete - (like sausages missing along with eggs or cold waffles)
After waiting for over an hour for the breakfast , i asked them to cancel my order but was requested to wait for another 15 minutes and told that breakfast would be on the house.( confusion there too as i was given a bill later on and waived off again )

Since i visit CCDs frequently - will possibly give them a 2nd chance saying it was just an "off day" for the guys.

Nice place to be with your Girl or a guy...

I didnt try out food here.. just tried coffee and sandwich, i liked it.. Noone disturbs and good for a long conversation or spend sometime... Better than a coffee day as it is never over crowded..

It's a fancy DISASTER!

if you're looking for a nice, sterile, comfy cafe for a basic cuppa coffee, some bad food and some seriously slow service - this is THE place to come by.
unfortunately we had to go through it to believe it - we were so shocked by it all that i had to let the ppl know. CCD Square is a GRAND rip off. The place looks nice and thats what you're paying for. the basic cappucino is priced a 100Rs and upwards. the food ... the pasta is over cooked and soggy, the sauce in non existent in it. the sandwiches are over toasted and hard. the filling so measley. each of these are priced 250 and upwards. dessert a single scoop of chocolate bombe which was ok is 200 Rs. it's 5 star prices for 2 star food and 1 star service. they dont completely comprehend english some of the staff and they take a good 30mins to get you your food.
give this place a complete miss unless you want to pay a price for being so disappointed!

The Usual for a higher price

A friend and I after some exhibition at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium, went to the Coffee Day Square to sip something and get energized. The corner building, comprising of the Coffee Day Square in the ground floor is huge compared to any other regular coffee days in Bangalore. It has a huge seating arrangement. Low tables with cushiony chairs, transparent comfy plastic chairs with regular tables. In the middle, they have the area where they brew the coffee, on the edge of the right hand side, they have a display of different kinds of coffee seeds and small note on the history about it. They also have a display of many coffee makers in all their shelves.

The menu card was thick and huge and narrates so many stories behind each of their specialty coffee. The menu is more or less the same with some additions of new stuffs. It lacks on the regular munchies and snacks which we can get in other coffee day outlets like samosas etc. My friend wanted to play safe and ordered for the all time favorite and best ? Kaapi Nirvana. And me, like always wanted to get experimental and I ordered something called Layerretto. This one has 3 layers ? black coffee at the bottom, jaggery syrup in the middle and froth on the top. Though it looked weird and my friend was sarcastically smiling at me much before I tried coz of the selection I?d made, I shooed away all that and tried my drink after stirring. It tasted too sweet with loads of jaggery and I really found it extremely weird after a few sips. I don?t understand why I get so experimental at times and not just settle with the tried and tested thingy. Since my mouth was filled with this taste and I very badly wanted to eat something spicy. Most of it on their menu was something too heavy for the stomach and I wanted something light but spicy. When asked the waiter came to our rescue and he said, we can have spicy potato wedges which are not listed in the menu. We asked him to get it on a emergency request and that?s what brought some relief to my tongue. Though the wedges there weren?t all that great, it still was my savior of the day.

Coffee and snacks here is definitely expensive than any other outlet. An extra price tag for the ambience and the location. They have something called as The Huddle Room. This room, needs to be booked in advance incase anybody wants to use it for a meeting, presentation, interviews etc. they have some pre-booking charges depending on the number of hours of usage etc.

Overall a good place to hangout if you want to spend more time without being disturbed. There?s hardly any crowd now. So, people who don?t like too much crowd will also like it.
