Senior Test Engineer
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience testing Web and desktop applications.
- Experience in writing and executing test plans and test cases for complex features from functional and design specifications.
- Experience working with industry standard test and bug tracking software like Bugzilla, Trac, etc.
- Good knowledge of SQL and Linux a must.
- Strong understanding of how browsers and Web technology work.

- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on development experience in Java
- Knowledge of core Java libraries, design patterns, JSP and servlets.
- Ability to write clean, well-structured Java code with proper abstraction

UI Engineer
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of web development experience.
- Strong scripting skills in Javascript. Familiarity with any other server side scripting language would be a plus.
- Solid understanding of AJAX and DOM manipulation techniques. Know how of dealing with different data formats (XML, JSON etc) on the UI is desired.
- Experience of working with open source Javascript frameworks like jQuery, Prototype, Dojo etc expected.
- Working knowledge of CSS desired.
- Any/all of these would be deeply appreciated - Understanding of best practices for SEO, an eye for performance optimization and contributions, if any, to the open source community.

Senior Software Engineer (Java)
- BS or MS in CS, CE, EE or related field; Masters preferred.
- 6+ years of strong hands-on development experience in Java/C++.
- Hands on real-world experience with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Struts etc.
- Strong Java skills and object oriented design experience.
- Experience building out scalable, multi-tier web applications.
- Experience in SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting.
- Good knowledge of database systems.
- Bonus points if you worked on high traffic web applications or have a prior startup experience.
- Lead projects, coordinate with other teams and mentor junior engineers.

Database Administrator
- 5+ years of experience in a Database administrator role on Unix/Linux.
- Experience with DB installation, configuration, and upgrade.
- Experience with DB maintenance, backup, and recovery.
- Experience with DB monitoring and performance tuning.
- Experience with high-availability environment (clustering and replication)
- Must have a strong understanding of performance optimization at query level, schema level, service level, OS level, hardware level.
- Strong knowledge of storage technologies with Linux: RAID, NFS, SAN etc.
- Develop scripts for a variety of DB-related tasks.
- Knowledge of at least one scripting language (Perl or PHP preferred).
- Bonus points for prior experience with MySQL 4.1/5.1.

IT Engineer
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Desktop Management, Networking and Information Security.
- Experience in Windows Server 2003, Anti-virus, installing network printers etc.
- Solid knowledge in Network design and LAN administration, Wireless, Router Configuration, Domains.
- Working knowledge of Network Management, Firewall/VPN installation, SMTP/POP/IMAP, DNS, DHCP.
- Bonus points for hands on any Linux distributions like CentOS, Debian, Red Hat etc.

User Experience / Design
User Experience Designer
- 4+ years experience designing web-based interfaces.
- Academic background in human-computer interaction or related field.
- Defining the user experience and interface for new burrp! products and features.
- Recommending usability enhancements for new and existing products, and making recommendations for change.
- Conceptualizing and presenting design ideas & concepts through mock-ups/ wire frames/ or product walk-through to run by the internal team or users for feedback / approvals.
- Be actively involved in understanding user patterns through web analytics, user surveys and interviews.
- Hands on experience with tools such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Dreamweaver, Go Live etc.
- Understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS a huge plus

Senior Web/ Visual Designer
- 3+ years of design experience in a product company/ portal / interactive agency.
- We are looking for individuals with strong creative skills and a keen interest to design for the new web paradigm.
- On the product side, you will work collaboratively with the Engineering Team to evolve the design of the site to support new features and enhancements.
- On the business side, you will work collaboratively with the Marketing / Communication Team to develop compelling visuals & layouts for campaigns & product related communication or e-marketing collateral
- Design for and troubleshoot cross browser compatibility issues
- Create clean mark-up that is scalable, accessible and search engine friendly
- Bonus points for passionate hand-coders who hate the WSIWYG editor and enjoy writing lean, lightweight, standards-based markup
- Strong hands on experience with tools such as Flash, Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw, Dreamweaver, Go Live etc.
- Thorough understanding of HTML, XHTML, CSS.
Project Management
Software Project Manager
- 4+ years of solid project management experience involving processes, tools and techniques.
- Should have prior experience working for product companies or consumer portals like yahoo, rediff etc.
- Should have managed projects involving teams of more than 10 people.
- Plan and schedule project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Project or similar tool is highly desirable
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Coordinate Product Management, development, QA, and other activities, engaging teams at the appropriate times.
- Develop project plans and milestones.
- Person should be a self starter and a good team player who would like to work in dynamic environment.

Media Sales Executive:
- burrp! is seeking highly qualified candidates who bring a positive attitude and who will help invigorate our work environment.
- Candidates must be entrepreneurial, intelligent, and self-motivated professionals.
- 2 years+ previous sales experience is preferred and experienced sales professionals from other industries are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, computer skills, and a BA/BS degree are required.
Responsibilities
- Forging long-term sales relationships with advertisers, brands, and media agencies, and efficiently manage accounts.
- Generate revenues through Ad Sales directly from Brands, Advertisers & online agencies
- Contribute to determining pricing, value segmentation & sales approaches for a given set of target clients
- Create proposals, commercial documents, ad placement orders and any other documentation including online tracking tools
- Work to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Contribute to sales strategies that would increase the revenue of the company
