Cream World, located on the busy 4th Avenue in Ashok Nagar, is not the most ideal place for people looking for an exotic ice cream. So, is there any reason why you should visit this place? Yes, for the ambience and the calmness of the place, which is very hard to find in an eatery in this locality. Even though vehicles flash by at all times on this busy road, this place begs for attention.
It is very easy to locate since it is situated on the main road itself. And once you enter the place, you forget about the pains it took you to reach this place. The near-emptiness of the place, the calm and serene atmosphere and quick service allows you to focus on what brought you to this place. To chatter.
Since this place is often empty, it provides you an opportunity to spend a long time at the parlour without actually eating anything. This is thus, an ideal place for the romantics or for a group of buddies.
There are lots of varieties with regards to ice cream. But only the usual ones that you will find in any other average parlour. The prices are average and the service is pretty good and quick. The people behind the counter are very courteous. An average tub of ice cream with syrup and nuts would cost Rs.80-100. Ice cream is also available in smaller cups which cost in the range Rs.30-60.
I have tried out almost everything on the menu and I would suggest butterscotch chip crunch or nutty caramel for people visiting this place for the first time. Milkshakes are also available, though I haven't seen many people try them.
There are few choices for stuff to eat. Sandwiches, french fries, nuggets and toast complete the menu. Though the variety is less in this regard, the food is pretty good. Do no miss the grilled chilly cheese toast and the veg. supreme toast, if you visit this place. It is very simple without any add-ons, the way people like it.
Since this place is rarely crowded, the time you take to complete your food doesn't matter. There is also no pressure on you to leave the place as soon as you complete eating. It is because of this that many people who want to spend time talking and gossiping over an ice cream visit this place. The air conditioning and entertainment in the form of a television also add value to this place.
The nearest landmark to this place is Pudur High School and Ashok Nagar police station. Since not many people know about this place, they might not guide you properly in case you have lost your way. Two wheeler parking is available in plenty. However, you have to depend on the side roads for car parking.
Cream World recently added more tables outside to accommodate more people. So there is very little chance that you will not be able to find seats. However, since it is open till 11.30 in the night, you might not be able to find a seat during that time especially when the next day is a holiday.
A place to gossip. Peaceful and no one to disturb you. If you are looking for such a place, then this one is perfect for you!
This place is not frequented by many and is often begging for customers. Most of the times I have visited this place, they dont have what I want. They dont have waffles, they dont have the quick bites they promise. Situated on the main road itself, it is easy to locate this place but lacks parking - you can always sneak ur vehicle in a nearby lane.
The prices are reasonable and the portions are decent. The taste is not all that great though. Go here if you have no other dessert option ;)
