Lovely Outdoors, Good Service.

We first were served with some under-cooked biryani But once we complained they immediately got a new dish, along with two complimentary coolers. And the waiter diligently waited on us. The outdoor decor is pretty amazing and worth a visit.

REAL REVIEW

It was a very bad experience with the food both quality and quantity wise. We ordered Nasegoreng , roti canai , buffalo wings. The starter chicken pieces were very small and no flesh just bones. Then we waited for the Nasegoreng which was not malaysian at all. The worst part is yet to come. The roti canai side dish had only potato and one piece of liver and chicken bone :) I was so angry and asked the manager to cancel the roti canai order as I had to pay Rs 250 for two pieces of bone. The roti was not malaysian, it was just normal road side parotta. Not sure why they charge so much and give poor service. Only good thing I experienced for the whole Rs 700 was good ambience. NOT RECOMMENDED, Please don't try and waste your money.

Why Malaysian though ?

I thought this place was Asian but the menu has a wide variety of dishes. The location first of all is awesome. The outdoor seating with a giant screen makes for a perfect dinner. Coming to the food, we ordered an Arrabiatta pasta, Tenderloin Burger, Butter Naan Kheema and a Non veg platter. The food was good but the portions were really small except the Tenderloin Burger. The burger was delicious and had huge chunks of beef. Meat lovers have to go in for this. The prices are a little high considering the portions, but the place is good for a one time visit.

New Town

There was a lot of pre-launch hype for New Town.
Coming to the review, the location is Opposite VGP Golden Beach in ECR.
My suggestions are Malaysian noodles (Mamak Mee Goreng) and Chicken biryani.
Other options include burgers, sandwiches, kebabs etc
The ambiance and seating area is pretty good.
My friend had a mango drink and it was so-so.
So, as a wrap, it offers good service and quality continental food.

Worth a visit. I will go again.

I went there for the first time today with high expectations, their Facebook page shows really good photos of the place and the ambiance.

I found ambiance and seating area pretty good, nice seats, sofas and open area also looked good. I didn't like the jumbo cushions on the sofa; they were uncomfortable.

For food, 4 on 5. To be on safer side I ordered a simple smoked chicken sandwich and a orange cooler (exact drink I don't remember). Sandwich was awesome, proper amount of chicken in the sandwich and was filling. It had potato wedges with it which gave bit more feel good factor to the sandwich. smoked chicken in the sandwich was very tasty. I would recommend this to everyone.

On the drink, 2 on 5, which I ordered; some orange cooler -- I will call it abysmal. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. The drink has some orange concentrate mixed in crushed ice & it was very sweet. In simple word it was a slush drink available on roadside shops also. I didn't expect this especially when your whole setup is very upmarket; I was expecting a better drink and not just orange concentrate in crushed ice.

For staff, 3.5 on 5; our table was served by a female, she was good and as asked, she made sure that our order was quickly served and we were done withing 30 minutes. Improve their sense of humor & listening skills a bit.

Nice Service but Cards not accepted !!`

Ever since I spotted this restaurant while driving down the ECR once, I ve wanted to come here. N finally when I did get here, the service didn't disappoint me.
Pros -
Nice waiters make you feel looked after.
Nice ambience with TV screens where they were playing Olympics, so I was happy with that.
Food was decent enough but a little bit on the pricey end.

Cons :
- not much of an variety in the food selection. Vegetarians will be very disappointed.
- when i had to pay the bill, they took my card, but returned it saying that they didn't accept cards !! The lady who returned my card had the tenacity to tell me that there is an ATM outside n I should go withdraw cash n come !!

So go with cash when u gotta go here !!

Nice and generous !

Really worth the money, though a bit expensive ! They have a nice outdoor hep lawn like place as well as an indoor a/c area. Portions are large and filling. The food is authentic and service impeccable. We had atleast 3 people from the management come up to us and inquire about the food !
We ordered a pasta with cheese sauce and a malaysian roti canai, both were great and filling. The mocktails are great too.
Go there if you want to unwind with a drive on ECR and some great food !
