Parwan's Bombay Halwa House Reviews

I suggest you to open your unique veg. restaurant in Ram Nagar, Madipakkam where there is not even a single sweets& veg. restaurant of quality. Its near to MRTS/Monorail./A big bus stand on the lines of koyambedu is all coming. Hence, you can think of opening a branch hotel from areas like Ram Nagar/kaiveli/pallikaranai/Vijay nagar near MRTS/ opposite to proposed Bus stand .your uniqueness is awesome. Moreover your quality food is good for people

I went here with my friend for dinner. We had a hariyali paneer tikka, butter naan, sweet lassi, methi malai paneer for side dish. This is the softest paneer i ve ever had in a stand alone restaurant.Unbelievably good and nicely marinated. The butter naan was very soft and was oozing with butter. It went wll with paneer malai methi which was rich and creamy with lots of paneer.Just melts in your mouth.Lassi was just the way i wanted it.It was thick and had the right amount of sweetness. The service was very quick. However the only drawback of the restaurant is it has become very old and looks a little unclean. The drainage was open outside the restaurant which was stinking very badly.Hope they look into these matters just for the convenience of customers.I would give 3.5 just because of this.So as per burrp it is 4.

Excellent veg punjabi food

Excellent food, service and must try the paneer dishes it will melt in your mouth. The chaas or butter milk is good. very good choice for vegetarians.

definitely the best north indian food I have ever had. The rotis were so well done that i couldn't stop ordering seconds.

Must visit for good North Indian Food !

Certainly, One of the best North Indian Food I had in Chennai. Neither the place is very spacious nor the interiors are very fancy. It gives a look of a normal restaurant. The entire focus is on food.
They serve delicious north indian food. If any one is missing the good north indian food and could not find it anywhere in Chennai, this is the place to be.
Another thing which I liked was the hospitality. The peope who were serving, were very polite and helpful. They take the order, suggest the good options and serve within time and all of that with a freindly smile. I will surely visit them again.

Nice and Quick Food

Nice place, well organised in terms of crowd management. The manager said half an hour to get us a table and called in 10 mins, well we were impressed!
Had a bus to Bangalore in next 1 hour and ordered food for a gang of nine. The food was served in jet speed and they were all very yummy too!
Be it the soup, breads, bendi fry, harabara kabab everything was tasty and came quicker than expected! Will visit again while in Chennai

this place is just amazingg. great veg food. The stuffed Paneer tikka is just amazing. I loved the dal tadka(yellow dal). It had a nice ghee ka tadka coz of which the smell was like so so so goodd. The palak paneer tasted beautiful. wt ever i ate was simply delicious

wide variery of rotis!

My family being a pure veggie one, we are on the hunt for pure veg restaurants and being tired of saravana bhavan and places alike we wanted to try this place at Pursawalkam.

At 9 p.m the place was super crowded with a lot of North Indians primarly and people waiting to be seated.

We did get a place finally and ordered cheese balls for starters(which was just average) suggest some decent paneer or gobi stuff for starters.

For the main course i took a look at the rotis section and it was a humungus list!

So we ordered some different types of rotis(not to mention they were really good) and veg koftha which was nice.. the paneer gravies were soft and really good..

Also worth the mention is the dessert section -the banana split is great and can be shared by atleast two ppl!

Defi a good choice for vegetarians!!

Price = Above average, Food = Decent

Food is a reliving break from Idli, Dosa and sambhar.
Don't forget to try Buttermilk/Chaach
Hospitality is good and they serve food Hot and delicious.
Though the experience could have been better if prices could go a bit southwards.

Bombay Halwa House has the most authentic North Indian food in Chennai. Ambience is average but entire focus is in the taste. You get amazing Paneer Tikka and great Chilli Gobi Paneer side dish among various other mouth watering dishes.
