Nice Italian Food

Located near the Pink Room in Hauz Khas Village, this place offers excellent thin crust pizza's... Infact after having the meal, I liked the place so much that i opted for having a coffee after the meal, and the cookies served along with the coffee were so good that I ended up buying them...

An evening well spent (Courtesy: Meal Vouchers won through Burrp Contest)

Thanks Burrp :)

All time Fab

Love this place. It's a favourite of the entire family and we frequent it often. A huge fan or their calzone and salads. Last visit they had some great goat cheese and beet salad - good stuff! The service is generally good tho when they are packed u need to remind them a few times.

Excellent Ambience and Food

The roof-top open air ambience at Amici Cafe is one of its kind... When the weather is good you can sit in the open and in hot weather, they have a covered place as well..

Its food quality is also excellent and its extra thin base of the pizza makes the food even more yummmm :)

Its a must visit place if you are in and around Khan Market ........

good

Visited both the outlets (at Khan Market & Saket) and enjoyed the Italian food they had to offer. Their spread is limited but the quality of food and the service is excellent. It is value for money and the average cost for a couple is Rs 1200/-

My favourite!

Amici really has to be one of the best Italian eateries in town. The pizzas, specially prepared in the wood-fired oven, leave behind a smoky, fulfilling tinge in your mouth, something that I've not seen anywhere else in Delhi. The preparation and quantity of the always reliable Arrabiata pasta is just right and to be savoured. Give Spremuta - the lemon and mint soda a try. Its healthy, yet peppy and refreshing.
Amici offers a broader menu than some of the other places and has fast become my favourite Italian joint!

Refreshing!

Amici has an amazing variety of pizzas and pastas. The thin crust suits your taste and tummy--not too heavy, not too light.
I specially like their peach iced tea-- it's quite refreshing. One of the things I would love to try in future would be the muffins. I'd recommend going there at least once for a refreshing experience.

Try their pizzas

Amici has a good variety of pizzas. Served on wooden platters they give you a different kind of feel. One must try those pizzas and pastas of theirs which come with pesto sauce -- and I am someone who isn't really a pesto lover.

Share:

pizza with pizzazz

The pizzas at Amici are really good- thin crust, crispy and cheesy. The pepperoni one and the piri piri chicken ones in particular are my favourites. I like how they're served on the wooden platters. Apart from the pizzas, the pork salami pasta is quite yummy- if you like the spicy kinds. Even if you don't want a full meal, Amici's a nice place to just sit with a cup of coffee and one of their signature muffins- I'd recommend the strawberry :)

Simply fantastic

Amici Cafe has, by far, the best cheese garlic bread I've ever had. It's pretty different from the usual - they serve a longish bread, like a baguette, topped with liquid cheese. It's nothing short of a food orgasm. And this is just one dish - wait till you sample the rest. The pasta is yummy, and so are the milkshakes. Anything you pick here is worth the money. I keep going again and again.

Disappointed!!

I had read a lot of good things about Amici. Since the day my better half and I started going around, I had been wanting to take her to Amici, and finally last Saturday we along with her best friend crashed here. The ambiance was just like i had wanted - a fine dining aura all around, and a posh crowd that further added to the ambiance. The menu was vast and i felt like trying each and every dish. Finally we settled for Creamy Mushroom Pasta, Farmer's Favourite Veggie Pizza, Dark Chocolate Mousse and Ginger Fizz.
Creamy Mushroom Pasta was well..just cream, mushroom and pasta. Ginger Fizz seemed like chai with lots and lots of adrak served cold. The pizza was thin crust, and was more like olives, jalapenos, mushroom and cheese served on a naan. In short, at the end of the meal, all three of us were disappointed. May be thats how authentic Italian tastes but I surely have had a lot better experience at Pizzavito in Sector 18, Noida.
The service was more disappointing than the food. The waiters served us the plates in a stack, leaving it to us to distribute the plate among ourselves. Asking them to serve the food seemed to be out of question. They gave us spoons to eat the pasta, and forks to have the mousse..WOW!!
A meal for 3 cost Rs 1300, and surely didn't seem justified.

A must go for any occasion!

This place is one of the best Food joints in the city.... It serves wood baked pizzas which are just amazing! They're nothing like the pizzas we're used to frm those american pizza chains... Clubbed with their wholesome pastas and its the best italian meal u've had! The portions are good for the price... Its good value for money if u take d taste factor into account... A must go for any occasion!

Affinity towards Amici

One time my roommate and I were wandering the lanes of Khan. Hungry and craving for good interesting food, we bumped into this place. Very excited,we entered the place and happily gobbled on the Mexican pizza with basil and pesto pasta. The food was delicious the ambiance was perfect. We sat outside, it was quiet and beautiful. We patted our backs for finding such a nice place and decided to brag out our ability to find awesome yet unknown places. But when we did that we came to know that this place is very very popular already! We of course made fun of ourselves by this smart act of ours but nevertheless we were happy that we discovered this fantastic place on our own. Their pastas are specially delicious and every time a friend visits me I take him/her to this place for a lovely dinner.

select citywalk outlet not as great as khan mkt

we went to amici in selct citywalk the other day for lunch. but were quite disappointed. for one, there were way too many people. the caesar salad had too much dressing, and the carbonara pasta had no sauce. I've eaten at the khan mkt outlet many times and the food has always been great. so dont know what's gone wrong here. also, the restaurant is located right next to the door to the balcony of selct citywalk, so every two mins someone would open the door and a freezing wind would blow through the restaurant. we really were quite disappointed. I've been told it was the first day for the outlet, so hopefully this was teething troubles -- but I'm going to stick to the khan market outlet for a while.

authentic italian

the pizzas @ amici are pretty close the original italian thin crust pizzas..... the casual clutter free ambience made me feel like transported to italy..
there are some signature pizzas which are predominently spicy to suite the indian palate.
and the TIRAMISU is surly the best in town...

love italian food GO TO AMICI.....

ZOMG!!!!

AMICI's the place to be, Sunday lunch when errbody lazy, pizzas the food to eat, be it a veggie or with all the meat.

=P i know stupid huh, but hey i can't help my self, amici is just to damn good brah. they're pizza's HEAVENLY, pasta is good too, burgers are good too, but the pizzas are too damn good. also they got some cool little breads like the other day i picked up some ciabata freshly made. later on made some sandwiches at home...using the ciabata...mannn, loving life there for a sec. Over all gets pretty busy on the weekend nights. hits your wallet light weight. they dont serve any drinks though. just coke etc. so yeah. last sunday had some pizza they made with goat cheese, and mushrooms. cost me around like 350 rupees. then started driving home, eating in the car, when my friend who was visiting from out of country, (USA), relized we finhsed the pizza, we had to acll amici's, book a pizza over the phone, drive back to khan and pick up another pizza. i think that sums it up all right there.

ps. and from reading some other reviews, i think ima get my self some tiramisu next time as well. Im sure it'll rock

Tiramisu " Best in Town "

I came across Amici last monday and since then repeatedly come back five different times not only for the food and the service but for the tiramisu ...

Order anything on the menu and the chef will not disappoint you ... but finish it off with the Tiramisu . As the menu says " best in town " For once here's a place that doesn't disappoint you ....

Share:

Good food, great ambience

The moment i entered, the ambience seemed to be a rip off the big chill.(Nearby, better food definitely). But on further looking around, it was more spacious, and bright! The Khan big chill, is sort of crowded. Contrary to what was warned, the order took moments to appear!!
Getting to the food, for starters we ordered Beetroot Ravioli and white sauce pasta. though my friend was not much of a beetroot fan, the ravioli was fabulous!
The pasta was decent, but somehow, lacking on flavor. I would say average.
Maincourse, it was lebanese pizza, and farmhouse pizza. here's the trick. The farmhouse pizza was the best i've ever had.
But the lebanese one, was the worst. Too much of the tomato taste.
In drinks the spremuta, tasted well, but not like spremuta, it was all lemon, and no mint. The crushed brownie smoothie was decent though! Nicely done!
For dessert, the tiramisu'the best in town', was GOOD. BUT big chill, is definitely the best tiramisu in town!!
USP It has perhaps the plentious options for vegetarians. Veggie fellas, this is the place for you!
Overall, good food, excellent ambience, A list crowd, friendly staff. Go there for your italian, if the big chill has long waiting line!!

Highly recommended!

Possibly the best pizzas had so far, were all from Amici!

Some of friends have tried pizzas at Italy too, and they too confirmed this the closest you get to those pizzas - even equivalent!

The meal comes down to 300-350 per person, which I think is very, very reasonable! Btw, the pizzas might look very thin, but trust me they are heavy!

Just Average

My experience with Amici is neutral towards negative side.
Here is my take on it -
-Pizza was good (but i find chicago pizza hell a lot better)
-Pasta was just ok (nothing as compared to big chill)
-Salad was above average
-Ambience was poor (the place went dead at 1030pm on a friday night)
-Slightly expensive.
Overall, it doesnt stand a chance in front of food, ambience, value for money, taste and overall experience of big chill.Overall rating 4/10 (I rate big chill at 9/10)

Have not had better Pizza anywhere in India ....

Actually not just the BEST pizza I've had anywhere in India, but anywhere for that matter :)
Am from Mumbai and in Delhi for a few months with an MNC. Came across this place as everyone at work was saying its the best pizza in town. Usually laugh at Delhi eating joints as mumbai places rule ! I must say I was humbled .... this place lived up to everything i had heard and more !!!!! That the pizza is the best in town is without a doubt, but their burger is brilliant. Go to just try this out I'd suggest. The veg pizza's are also out of this world. For the first time am actually impressed with delhi dining out options. I guess your city isnt that backward after all ;)

mumbai still rules !!

JC

PS - was told that amici has been voted Best Cafe in Delhi by Hindustan Times. Not surprised !!

Simply Awesome Pizza !!!!!!!

This place is firstly amazing. Am addicted but is hard to get a table as theyre always packed. Saw Indian cricket team there twice, and also SRK and the Big B !!!!

Havent tried the Salad's etc and only stick to the Pizza cause its just AWESOME. This is the real deal Italian pizza (not cardboard Amercian pizza like dominos etc) and their reputation as the Best Pizza in town is truly deserved. My Saturday evening ritual.

NO SO GOOD PIZZA

With a restaurant space in "The Khan Market" and so heavily advertised, I was hoping this place to be spectacular...but to sheer disappointment.....I ordered Canneloni and "il Funghi" Pizza..firstly, there's something wrong with their Tomato Sauce....it does not have natural sweetness of a tomato...its too tangy and acidic...secondly its too runny/pureed kind....whereas good italian sauce is crushed.....neither did it had any herbs....moreover the staff is not attentive...just busy to increase turnover....after dumping our food, I never saw the dude again...only to bring the check....surprisingly they call themselves an italian restaurant, but don't come close to their generosity...my guest asked for Parmesan Cheese and the attendant didn't had it....finally he managed to fetch a pinch from the Pizza guy....their food might be presentable, but not tasteful at all....anyways....it just another hyped place....ok if you are in the area, but not something you have to make an effort to visit !!! I am certainly not going there again..

Now that's what we call a perfect Spaghetti!

The best Spaghetti Arrabiata in town no doubt, it saucy, its spicy and steaming hot!! Slurrpp! The grilled fish is also delicious, if you are the calorie conscious you can request for the sauce on the side. The Tiramisu was a little too pungent for my liking.
