Eerily Calming

Firstly hauz Khaas village is so delightful with its by lanes and cobblestoned walkways. On top of that the entry to Hauz Khaas Social is like entering a small tunnel which was eerie and delightful. The decor, quirky drinks, quirky ways of serving the drinks and food is the ups of this place. Its essentially a drinking place, the Long Island Iced tea served in a beaker is quite refreshing and strong. The music is decent, got crowded after 11. Staff was a bit stand offish in terms of allowing us to sit on an empty table...however we in sited and got a table over looking a beautiful green tree on top of the lake in the village. The entire place was dimly lit adding to the charm of the place. No great guns when it comes to food, we had pasta which was decent and felt nice in the cold weather, but nothing to create magic on the tongue. Go there to have some fun and chill!

The place catches you by surprise.

It is huge. And you do not expect a place of this size in HKV. The place has been done with min interiors however does not look shabby or shady. A concept which allows one to work while having a chill and nice time.

The food comes in good quantity. I really like the way they serve and plate the food. However didn't have the best experience with there Big Apple breakfast. The pancakes were a little too thick and slightly undercooked. The bacon rashers were not crispy. The blueberry sauce was really nice.
The naga cheese chilli toast is really nice and is a must try for all cheese lovers. Crispy with the right amount of chilli to pack a punch and sufficient amount of cheese to balance it. The Bombay sandwich is alright, was a little cold when we received it.

The drinks are really fancy: primarily they are know for there cocktails. The Long Island ice tea comes in a long beaker.. Not the best I have had but the presentation makes up for it. The deconstructed Moscow mule is quite cool as you have to make it yourself. It's strong to begin with but eventually it balances out to give you a nice smooth drink.

Overall ambience : 4.5/5
Food: 3/5
Drinks: 4/5
Service: 4/5

Ohh btw might take you a while to find a place as social is packed every night of the week.
