This place never fails!
I've been a loyal Slice of Italy customer for several years now. I've had nearly everything on their menu, usually ordered in.
Usually, restaurants are good at certain things and bad at others. Domino's makes a pretty good pizza, but their pasta tastes like something I could have instantly microwaved in my own kitchen. KFC makes fantastic fried chicken, but their attempt at a rice bowl Indian meal type of thing was depressingly sad. I'm just saying, you don't go to a Chinese restaurant and order a hot dog, and complain that a fast food franchise can do it better, you know what I mean?
But Slice of Italy is a sort of outlier here. There's quite honestly nothing on their menu that isn't pretty damn good at least, whether it's pizza or a calzone or pasta or a sub. Even their cakes are amazing. I'm not sure how this is possible, that they do everything equally well.
They're arguably a tad on the pricey side, but then the quality of food proves you're getting your money's worth. I've had good, mediocre and bad pizzas from outlets like Domino's, for example. But not so with Slice.
The only other aspect is they do take a tad longer than others to deliver the food if you're the order-in type like me. But again, it's worth it, and in my experience they've never been more than 50 minutes late on a delivery, no matter what the circumstances. And it's always worth the wait.
Finally, they're one of the rarer restaurants that are open till 1 am, and even deliver late. At least once while doing a very late shift, I was panicking because it was too late to get any food, and there was nothing in my fridge. Slice of Italy was there, and I was so grateful.
So considering that people usually rave about established big franchises like Pizza Hut and Dominos and KFC and whatnot, I'm surprised that Slice of Italy isn't just as prominent, because they sure deserve to be.
A good hangout for Pizzas and Italian Fares
This is Delhi's answer to Dominos and Pizza Hut.
The quality of Pizzas and calzones etc. is at par with Dominos and Pizza Huts with a wee bit difference in Price. The Service is courteous but the staff is little bit confused. The place is neat and clean ok but would do with a spruced up look.
Crappy service from nasty staff!
My sister's birthday got ruined because I ordered her birthday cake from this branch. Good for nothing these people are. Never order anything from Slice of Italy unless you want to ruin that evening and regret for life. I have had a very very bad experience and when I give them a fair feedback they tend to delete my posts from the facebook's wall. This clearly shows about the practices they tend to follow, their morals and their ethics.. I won't ever doubt if they haven't heard anything about morals or ethics as they surprisingly don't have any!!
so if you ever wanna go to a small little italian place, this is it. Tiny, barely can accomodate over 4 tables, slice of italy is situated right oppposite the Vasant vihar bus depot, on the nelson mandela road. This place has good italian food both veg and non veg. Be it their salads or their sandwiches. Veggies - Do try the submarine sandwich Hot Vegas, its really good, a little spicy on the palate. They also have a good variety of main course - calzone, pizzas, pastas, risottos on offer. Liked their white sauce pasta, cheesy and yum! Desserts - Try their chocolate truffle, a must!
overall great value for money for good italian cuisine, one of my favs in delhi !
