Gives you Bang for your Rupee Spent
I have been to this outlet many times and think that the food is decent and the rates are reasonable. I have always eaten south Indian stuff here so can't vouch for north India dishes.
Food quality is decent and tastes good. However, I find it a bit on the oily side. The ambience is well, functional, so to say. Nothing much adorns the walls. The furniture is simple too. Service is usually quick. My only grouse with the place is that its a bit unhygienic. But for the price, gives you a bang for your rupee.
Not another South Indian food giver
Ambience : Crowded stand in and the AC's no good. Nothing much to see or called as the ambience.
Food: Lots of South Indian food. They got these awards also but the food is not at all awardable. They say panner masala dosa is good but I didn't find that goodness. The coffee is bitter. Sambar is also not a dive in flavors. Chutneys given along with the dishes are also not very good. I hear they used to be good but they have gone down a bit. They need to rev up things atleast for the competition. Just fine for a quick snack. Avoid the North Indian options
when you have no other option.
well this pace has zero ambience even in the ac part. and its very conjusted no place to breathe.
The dosas are horrible with some kind of cinnamon chutney in them and thickness of aloo paratha and non crispy. The Idlis look and taste ok but within minutes of eating them you will feel the thirst ...i assume its because of soda being used in the idlis to make them look white and fluffy. Some days back we found a fried fly in the puris we ordered... ;(
Not a very good place to eat.
Terrible Place with Tasteless Food!
Had heard a lot about the South Indian food served here but the place was a huge disappointment! The wada and the sambhar were still ok but the dosas were tasteless. Had ordered for Onion Rava Masala Dosa and Masala Dosa. Both the dosa's filling had no salt and there was so much of onion in the rava dosa that you couldn't even see the dosa crust. Ordered for an apple juice, got a thick kind of juice which didn't taste like juice or a shake.
Will never go there ever again!!!!
Eat the meal and get out service
The Food served here is of decent quality but in case someone expects any kind of service quality from the staff pls be ready to have all your expectations flushed down the drain. One of the worst service I have seen in a restaurant. A can avoid looking at the other choices one has.
Average place if you dont have anywhere else to go
We have visited this place multiple times and tasted almost all dosas/idli/vada varities.. The food quality is above average(better than the rest of the places in an around Madhapur). What really needs a realistic change is the Service - The waiters are cold, not bothered about the service or what chutney you want.. All you would hear is "WE SERVE ONLY THIS". I dont understand why can a customer not be given "Allham/Ginger" chutney with Sambhar Vada even when asked. They definitely need to work on these small things and overall hygine of the place..
A nice place for simple and light meals.
Cafe Nandini totally abides by its name. its has not ventured in extravagant dishes and stuck to the conventional ones like dosas, idlis in which they are really good. I totally love the food here as its not spicy but still yummy. As its a cafe its weird if customers are expecting a extravagant service. Am pretty ok with the self service provided and inside with the sitting arrangements I found it pretty ok with the service too. what matters at the end is a good filter coffee and a crispy dosa and as my criterion is fulfilled I give it must visit for those looking out for a light meal with a decent enough budget.
Budget Restaurant, good for breakfast
CAUTION-- This is a budget restaurant and not a five star speciality one, so don't expect very high level of service.
But the food is worth the money paid. I had breakfasts over there couple of times, and dosas (paneer dosa, plain dosa, set dosa etc.) tasted good. Their coffee is also good. Though I had never been to the AC seating area, so can't comment about the service.
I had lunch (South Indian Thali) here this sunday. (9th Jan). We were a group of three people, and the service was totally pathetic.
The server serves the food with such expression on his face that you'd rather eat your puke than to eat the food served by him. And don't expect second helpings brought to you with a smiling face. Basically they are not worth it. Rotis are served only once. And its only rice after that. Dal, Sambar, Sabji you have to wait for atleast 5 minutes for each item... And the people serving there, don;t have the common sense to bring two-three cups of everything when three people are eating...
Totally Totally pathetic...
The only good thing about them... their Filter Coffee. Period.
I work near Hitech and I did eat in Nandini couple of times, the food taste is good but who cares the taste when they ruine the quality of the dishes in which they serve. For 6 times I ate in Nandini, i had problems digesting the food. When this was repititive i did take a look at the kitchen(it is actually open and you can see it) and shocked to look at the way these guys maintain the higenity in the hotel. AWFUL! The dishes weren't cleaned and we still see the signs of earlier served food on these white plates and dishes. The groom used to clean the Dosa platue is YUK. The cups they served Tea were not at all cleaned properly and I almost vomited when i can see some stains of other persons saliva(may be Soap or something). The rates are not at all affordable. Tea costs Rs10 and I am not sure why it is so high. Dosa, Idly everything costs so high and if eat in the AC you have to pay 50-75% extra. Horrible hotel and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to others.
PS: The reason why i am giving a review in Burp is I have seen two certificates from this website that Nandini is the best hotel. With 8 reviews I don't why Burp claims it as the best hotel. Are you trying to market your website this way?
Only budget and value for money south indian hotel
This is the only hotel in Hitec city which offers tasty food at value for money at very economical cost. Also, this is pure vegetarian hotel, something very rare in Hyderabad. I travel daily 4 km to this hotel just to sip the Filter Coffee made here... Haven't tasted a tasty coffee ever like this.
Good food at reasonable prices!
Cafe Nandini is a nice place for a quick evening snack/breakfast or even a lunch and dinner..when you just want to eat out but not spend extravagantly! Generally all restaurants in Hyd are overpriced for their quality of food and cafe Nandini is an exception. The south indian items like idli, vada, dosa are good but unexpectedly the north indian dishes like paneer butter masala, veg do pyaja, chaman methi etc are great too! Good Dinner/Lunch for two in approx 250 is cool atleast in Hitech City of Hyd! Don't expect great ambience or superb service ..remember its just a cafe!
As my title goes for vegetarians like me - this is a great boon in the arid region of Hyderabad.
An Udupi hotel with a wide range of choices on the menu, lip-smacking taste and pretty decent prices. They have a fast-food section(something that is direly lacking in Hyd) as well as a bustling A/C-seating section which is always in demand.
Don't miss their excellent filter coffee! :)
Breakfast @ Tiffany's
A little ambiguous of the pricing because of the location, I still wanted to try this for a breakfast at 9. There wasn't much to gaudy about the restaurant. The crowd looked good. The inner part for the sitting was good and looked very decent.
We ordered for a Dosa, one of my local favorite. The sambar was too hot and delicious. They could have considered a little more working on the chatni. The lassi I ordered was too good. It was thick, creamy and yummy.
Overall, it looked a quite a affordable entry for a breakfast entry. Pricing was fairly moderate. A meal for two would cost you less than 100 bucks. The best part is the ambiance and the crowd with mostly young people making it after a morning jog.
A nice South Indian Cafe
Unlike Chennai or even Bangalore, there arent too many eat outs in Hyderabad where you can go to for a quick south Indian snack. Café Nandhini on the Hitec city main road in Madhapur is one of them. Its the perfect place to go to if you are feeling hungry and just not in the mood for a full fledged meal. The dosas, idlis and dahi vadas are all very good. Their speciality MLA pesarate and palak paneer dosa are worth a try. It is economical and a meal for two will not cost more than a hundred bucks at the max. Its got both an AC and a non-AC section. As far as the service and ambience is concerned, the non-AC section has self service and the ambience, needless to say, is not worthy of a mention. What really works for this restaurant is its location. It is situated in the heart of Madhapur, just a Kilometer away from Hitec city with absolutely no competition anywhere in the vicinity. It has its own clientele the young IT professional forever hungry, in a hurry and on the move. They also serve north Indian and Chinese dishes, but hey these days who doesnt? Let me just say, if u go to a place which calls itself Café Nandhini and expect to experience the best food from the far east or the north west frontier province, u are being a little too hopeful and a touch too unreasonable. Stick to the south Indian snacks and youll agree that its good value for money.
