Best Kerala food in town
An obscure place but right on the Madhapur main road. You can easily miss it except for the Sarvi bakery downstairs that used to be here.
Very basic interiors. Ask for the meals, especially the Kerala thick boiled rice and an array of curries are unloaded onto your plate, most having a tinge of coconut in all of them.
Ask for their specials which are not on the menu - beef fry, prawn masala or fish fry.
It's very tasty food, mild and spicy at the same time . Very 'IT' and nift crowd here. Very easy on the wallet. No parking though. Lunch is a must here.
Good for seafood lovers
Chef Kerela is a well priced, value for money restaurant serving Keralite cuisine located in the heart of Madhapur. Considering Hyderabad has relatively few seafood bistros, Chef Kerela is a good option for seafood lovers. Go for the fried fish or combining the appams with any of the spicy coconutty curries is a good idea. the malabar chicken curry and the prawn curry were both delicious. Decent options for vegetarians and the payasam was quite tasy.
The service is decent/average. Ambience is okayish as it is located on the busy road of Madhapur which has a the IT traffic in the evening. The food is good and a good option if you like keralite cuisine or seafood in particular. Two people can have a decent meal for around 300 rupees
