Happy Tummy

Of late I've not rated any restaurant 4 and this is probably one of the select few that have impressed me so much.

I'd rather not bore you with writing about the ambiance, location and all other crap.

After reading Vishals review I looked for some company but again went SOLO. I have lost count of how many places I've gone and eaten alone just because of the lack of company.

There was nothing to look at in the menu so while walking in, I told the waiter to bring me the non-veg 6 course meal with chicken soup and chocolate bomb.

But customarily he got the menu which is when I realized the menu had changed, to which he nodded so as to say - that's exactly why I am handing you the menu card you dumb ass !

Nevertheless with a sheepish grin I returned the menu card.

The soup was quick to arrive; it was a Chicken Thai ga or something like that. Decently spicy, copious in quantity but stingy on the coconut milk. Although the milk was fresh, I would have liked a little more coconut milk flavour to make the spice more subtle

Next to come was the chicken salad, run of the mill nothing fancy, would have liked a little more pineapple in it.

Poor Management and Bad Experience

We went for a send off party and to our surprise were served chicken even when we ordered veg.
No apologies, nothing. Just a badly made free pizza given.
Overall a bad bad experience.

Bad Experience During Navratra Days

So we chose Cinnamon because many of our friends had been there and gave us positive reviews of this place. We were some 12 odd people and we ordered veg french onion soup. After waiting for a long time our order got served, only it wasn't veg! They served chicken french onion and most of us were vegetarian and we had gone during Navratara season so many of the non veggies were also off chicken and meat! Totally spoiled the mood for most of us... They gave us the actual order free, but even the rest of the food wasn't great. We ordered quite a lot of dishes but they were ordinary to say the least. Would definitely suggest people to go to Little Italy instead! We even ordered the choco lava cake seeing the review here but even that was real ordinary. Overall, a disappointing experience...

Poor service for the time it took and the veg/non-veg mistake

CF Continues to Impress

Tonight was my fifth visit to Cinnamon Fusion, and I'm glad to report that CF has bucked the trend and its quality hasn't deteriorated with growing popularity.
We were lucky in a way as tonight was a special night at CF - Jagjit Reloaded. Live Ghazal isn't something you get to hear often while relishing your dinner.
I opted for the a la carte as I always do, since the set menu can be a bit of a hit or a miss. If you go to CF, I would strongly recommend that you go for the a la carte instead of the set menu.
We started off with French Onion Soup, which CF always nails. I would have liked my soup to be a bit hotter than it was, but given the crowd today I'm willing to overlook that. It tasted fabulous as always. I've had French Onion Soup at quite a few places, and Cinnamon's rendition remains my favourite.
In the starters we ordered another of my favourites - Butter Garlic Prawn. This is another CF speciality, and something I always order. The prawns were juicy, tender, and packed with flavour. The second starter we ordered was Reshmi Kebab. CF nailed the soft, fluffy egg coating on the kebab, and added an extra flair with silky threads of sugar syrup.

In the main course, we ordered Haleem Pizza, which is something CF is doing for the month of Ramzaan. It sounds a bit odd, but was executed very well. I would have liked the crust of the pizza to be a tad thicker, but on the whole the pizza was really unique and tasted a lot better than I could have guessed from the name. Other items we ordered in the main course were Spaghetti Papricka, Classic Lasagna, and Polo Cajun. The Polo Cajun was plated brilliantly and tasted quite good. But, the Lasagna was again quite special. Although it’s named as Classic Lasagna, like most Cinnamon Fusion dishes it wasn’t the authentic Lasagna. It had been tweaked to ensure that the cheese doesn’t overpower the flavour of the lamb.
For dessert, we wanted the Cinnamasue, which is against a CF specialty that’s absolutely spectacular. Unfortuantely it wasn’t available, so we settled for the Choco Lava cake with Ice cream, which is again something CF does really well.
Great food accompanied by soulful ghazal. Tonight was a good night.

Good food and music

Dropped into Cinnamon a few days ago with a friend. As we entered we discovered the dimly lit dining room with a classical interior. In a corner we spotted a group of artists were getting ready to perform some gig.

Seated on a comfortable couch, we were presented an Ala carte and a pre fix menu. Their prefix menu gives a choice of cuisines over 6 courses. My friend went for the prefix menu, however I being not so hungry and moreover tempted by the ala carte selection chose a starter, main and dessert from ala carte.

Food served was fresh and was plated in a very appealing manner. My mozzarella sticks (starter) was really good and even better was the grilled chicken served with a brown sauce, vegetables and mash. My friend also liked her prefix menu, apart from the fact that she felt full even before the finished her meal.

The staff was courteous and interacted very well with customers. The artists played english and hindi songs on guitars which was another highlight of the evening.

Overall I felt it is a good place to have a relaxing meal.

HORRIBLE

I went there with my girlfriend and had the worst time ever.

We ordered starters and 1 chicken main course and 1 fish main course.

1-We got the wrong starters- We sent it back
2-Main course arrived but accompanied by mash potato instead of the what was written on the menu.
3- Waiter argues that they did not have the supplies in the kitchen, so they just gave us mashed potato instead.(hoping we would not notice)
4-Waiter pours fish sauce on chicken and chicken sauce on fish.
5-When questioned, waiter argues that its just a sauce and we should just eat it.
6-I ask for the manager for the third time by now, but manager is absconding.
7-I storm out of the restaurant, and finally see the manager evading me at the door.
9-Manager has seen the whole thing but does not apologize or even offer an explanation.

Now you folks decide whether you want to go to this restaurant.

Management- I know you will try and write out a public response to this mail claiming that this was all a misunderstanding or something.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

I don't want to discuss anything

Warm and Relaxing

Had lunch here with a friend yesterday. This was my second visit. First visit was sometime in Jan. Was happy, both times.

We had frnech onion soup which was delectable. Parmesan roasted potatoes were perfect. Main course we stuffed our faces with fish and chips and grilled chicken in pepper sauce. All excellent.

Somehow the chocolate lava cake fell back on my expectations. It wasn't as spectacular as it was the first time we had visited.

Ambience is elegant. Not overdone. And a thumbs up to Cinnamon for encouraging local talent in the form of their evening musicales. Adds to the wonderful feel of the place.

Will visit, again.

Fabulous

This place is really beginning to make a name for itself. My latest visit was on previous Saturday afternoon. I was happy to see more people in there than some of my previous visits. CF recently introduced an A la Carte menu, and that's what I was going to check out. The menu is quite impressive with lots of options to chose from.

I started off with French Onion Soup, which I had loved in one of the earlier set menus. To my pleasant surprise, the chef had tweaked the recipe for the A la Carte menu, and it tasted even better than before. For starters I ordered Garlic Butter Prawns. I also wanted to order Calamari rings; however, they weren't available. The GB Prawns were quite possibly the best prawns I have ever tasted. Extremely juicy and tender with multiple flavours to excite your palate. I ordered grilled basa fish fillet, which was well done as usual. The entire plate was extremely well put together with the salty potato wedgies, slightly bitter basil leaves, and the tender fish fillet. For dessert I ordered Cinnamasure. A lot of people seem to love the Choco Lava cake over there, which is indeed excellent. However, I will dub Cinnamasure has Cinnamon Fusion's signature dessert.

Too Good: Must Try

It has been a wonderful experience, especially thinking of Hyderabad. We went there for our wedding anniversary and our day was made even more special by their outstanding service.
The food is awesome. Desserts are a must try, you just pick any one from Menu and you will find in very unique in terms of presentation and taste.
Ambience is good. The decoration and live music add more special touch to it. Highly recommended.

Will return just for the choco lava cake....

At the outset I like to thank the reviewers below for one suggestion - The Choco lava is simply awesome - one can visit this restaurant just for this.

Coming to the other items on their set menu, the ratings are like this

Hot and Sour soup - not good at all
Caesar salad - decent
Kabab platter - (Kasturi Murgh Tikka, Dhaniya Adraki Fish tikka, Chatpati Murgh tikka) - fairly decent - the Kasturi tikka stands out
Chicken Pizza - Average
Main course - I chose Sliced fish in Chilli Soya Sauce served with Burnt Garlic Fried Rice. The fried rice was awful. The fish dish was just about average. A bad choice overall.

The Virgin Mojito I must say is one of the better ones I had in Hyderabad...

Service is pretty fast out here.

Overall I was not happy with the food.

So my suggestion is if you are dining out in Hitech City area, you can drop in just for the dessert here (Choco lava cake with Ice Cream). Do not miss it.

Service : 4/5
Food: 3/5
Value for money (Set menu is around Rs 600): 3/5
Ambience: 3/5 (the restaurant is spacious but we found a funny bad smell...)

Choco Lava Cake !!!!

A huge restaurant with a lot many reviews on food websites but not many hoardings or signs to show where it is. We found the place with ease though all thanks to Google Maps.

A great ambiance of a high class restaurant with an unusual stale smell which went away as soon as the AC was switched on. We were presented with 2 menus A la Carte and Set Menu. Though we had read mixed reviews of the set menu we decided to give it a go.

We were presented with a French Onion Soup for myself and Hot and Sour Soup for my dad. Well to be very polite -The soups sucked... This was a real bad start and the Cinnamon Fusion team had got their openers out for a duck. The cook had forgotten to put salt and even after putting it didn't taste any better..

Next up was Caesar Salad, though it was a bit dry, it actually tasted well.

There were 3 types of kababs - ChatPata Chk Tikka, Kasthuri Murgh tikka and Dhaniya Adraki Fish Tikka. All of them were served in a flat bowl with green chutney and were pretty decent.

The chicken pizza took some time to come and was more like Caesar Salad leftover spread on top of thepla with a cheese to bind them together. I was not impressed at all.

The grilled chicken in pepper sauce was served with mashed potatoes and vegetables and made a hearty meal. The sauces, a hint of ginger and lemon were the predominant tastes in the chicken and went well with the mashed potatoes.

At last we got to the desert, my stomach was full with 5 courses of food. But as soon I set my eyes on the Choco lava cake, my hunger came back stronger than ever. I ate the cake with relish, it was a soft cake with hot molten chocolate sauce inside served with icecream. This was the highlight and I have decided to go back once more just to have it. It was so good that I believe I could pay the Rs 520 + tax just for this again.

PS- Their Virgin Mojito is good too, they have somehow mastered the perfect blend of mint, soda and lemon which the other restaurants tend to screw up.

Food - Rs 520 + taxes for set meal

On a lazy sunday festival evening

I went to this place yesterday @ around 8:30 in the evening with my wife. Well, to start with, yesterday being a festival, it was not a crowded affair. So didn't have problems with parking and all, as highlighted by certain members. Getting a place was also quite easy, with not much crowd around.
So they have a pre-set meal, which I didn't opt for and instead went for Ala-carte.
Started with American Golden Corn soup (Non-Veg). After waiting for roughly 10 mins, was given a soup, which turned out to be a Veggie one. :-) Nevermind, it was promptly taken back into the kitchen and later served, what we ordered for. To be frank, it was quite delicious. However, as luck would have it, my wife unfortunately got a small size pebble, which we normally get in our households. Well, we just brought that to the attention of the waiter and decided not to make a hullabaloo out of it. But people from Management - please take care of it. Also I observed, the waiters over there are not aware of some of the ingredients that go into any dish. They have to go back to the kitchen to get that piece of info. Again a word for the management - please take cae of that. C'mon. Moreover, they don't have much to offer in main-course, if you love Indian food. Only 1 option each for Veg and Non-Veg.
Well then we ordered for Lucknowi Chicken Tikka as starter. It was succulent and tasted really good. We followed it with Grilled chicken with Pepper Sauce and Smoked chicken Pizza.
An yeah, the food was accompanied by soulful music, played by a gentleman - a perfect backdrop of a romantic evening.
So in a nutshell, food is really good, ambience is equally good. Except that small blemish, I would have given a 4*. I will go with a 3* instead.

Good food at a great place

I and my wife went to Cinnamon Fusion on this Thursday (18th October) for a dinner.

Went to the restaurant at around 8:30PM and found that the parking is headache. The front area is too small for parking (there is not enough space for reversing the car) and at first visit, it is difficult to notice the underground parking.

The second headache was finding out the lift, which took us almost 10 minutes.

Though these two headaches are the problems of the building management (and not the restaurant itself)- still needs to be taken care of.

From then onward, it was a smooth journey. The decor and ambiance was pretty good. heard that there are live musics on few selected days, and liquor also on weekends.

The menu consisted of a 6 course meal- you need to choose from various predefined options. In soup- we chose Seafood soup. There were a non-veg kabab platter, chicken ceaser salad, chicken thin-crust pizza. We chose vehetable fried rice with some chicken preparation for my wife and mughlai chicken and butter naan for me for the main course. In dessert, we had choco lava cake with ice cream.

The food was excellent. The portions were just right- so that you don't feel you need to order anything else after you have eaten all the dishes.

Recommended for a nice calm dinner.

Cinnamon Fusion-Need to review the Quantity of fud

Cinnamon Fusion - definitely a must visit place but a couple of points to keep in mind while placing your orders.
1. My sincere suggestion is not to go with the set menu they serve on any day... Reason being the quantity of food that is served is absolutely pathetic. Not worth the money you spend for it. All you will get is a few sample pieces of food and nothing else. Not worth spending INR.550 for this.
2. Rather an option of À la carte is the best.... again the Quantity of food being served is very less, but compared to a Set Menu, this is a best alternative.
3. The parking facility is absolutely horrible. Thanks to the staff from All Seasons who place all the dishes, plates and other stuff when your car is parked. Had a tough time to take my car out of the parking place. Uncivilized staff from All Seasons restaurant.

Finally I would say, a must visit place for the amazing ambiance, taste of food, for the live band performance and hospitality.

One of my favorites, but repetitive menu

Went to Cinnamon Fusion for the 2nd time, this time to taste their October set menu. The set menu is a 6-course meal where you can pick one among 2 soups,5 maincourse and 3 desserts.

We chose a Thursday to avoid their "live music" which was a bit too loud last time. They usually have live music on Wednesdays,Fridays,Saturdays and Sundays. The interiors were as beautiful as ever in yellow setting and the wooden furniture. We made a reservation before-hand,but seems it isn't needed on a weekday. We were seated near the glass panels facing the road, but believe me the middle seating was much better than seeing the unorganized traffic below.

The Tomato Rosemary Soup and the Vegetable Clear Soup were served first and both were ok. Then the Fresh Tropical Salad(as mentioned in the set menu) was served and it's exactly the same as the Mexican Salad we ate the last time!! Then to our distress the Appetizers also tasted exactly the same!!Made of Gobi,Paneer and Dal each like the last time. Or maybe,we felt they were the same.. Then Spring rolls were served and not pizza like the last time, thankfully. They were yummy! The maincourse seemed similar too,but nevertheless it tasted good,Potato and Okra in Parsley sauce with Corn Fried Rice and similar one with Mixed Vegetables in someother sauce. We didnt try pasta due to the bad experience last time. Then my favorite part, time for desserts!! I chose Choco Lava Cake served with Icecream and it was heavenly. It was so soft and fluffy. When I dipped my spoon in it,,chocolate came out oozing! The Fresh Grape Mousse was not good. We ordered Date Pan Rolls after so much hype, but didnt like them at all!! We actually left them without eating.Maybe after the magical effect of Choco Lava nothing else might be impressive. The presentation of the food was as excellent as ever and this time we were served an extra bowl of fried rice for the main course, for all the people who are complaining the serving size was too small this would help. The mocktail Shirley Temple had too much ice in it and was ok,but my friend said it tasted a lot better at some other place.

The service was fast, but the bad thing this time is the waiter wasn't filling our glasses until we asked for! Even in a normal restaurant, the waiter is seen filling glasses as soon as it is half empty.

Cost- Rs.1410 for 2 persons(inclusive of taxes),set menu price-Rs.570 per person(inclusive of taxes)

Food-7,food was good, but the menu was repetitive
Service-8,it was fast, but didnt fill our glasses until asked for
Ambiance-9.5,beautiful interiors
Value for Money-7,I feel it's a bit overpriced, but I would still go if the menu doesnt repeat

Good ambience Ok food

I recently visited Cinnamon Fusion with my husband after hearing about this place from some of my friends. The ambience was good and the service great, however the food was a bit let down. We ordered two pastas - bolognese and arrabiata, there was hardly any difference in the two dishes which is strange. I am a big fan of Via Milano pasta dishes so after that it was a big let down. However there was live band performing and ambience was pretty good. So it was a kind of mixed experience.

Awesome Experience

After two really great experiences at the team lunch outing, I recommended my wife to take her team there for a team lunch outing and they loved it as well. The set menu with a limited choice but and a 7 course menu leaves you feeling like a king.

Me and my wife decided to go to Cinnamon on dinner and we were disappointed after we were done with the dinner because we were served only 3 courses and the dinner was called as done and we were still half hungry. I am not sure if I understood the concept correctly.

But since then I've decided to avoid Cinnamon durning nights, for days its definitely a place to go..

Fusion of Impressive menue, good food,gr8 ambience

After reading the mixed reviews in Burrp! we landed up here on a weekday for diner in an apprehensive mood! Let me summarise the review as below :

Ambiance : The ambiance was definitely noteworthy with brightly lit ceiling lamps and theme lighting. Notable were some of the paintings on the walls ( I noticed a Ravi Verma painting as well !) Only issue was that it may be a shade too bright for a fine dining restaurant . 4/5 on the ambiance.

Food : We tried the Thai cuisine, Tom Yum soup ,red curry and rice.Taste was moderately authentic , a bit customised for the Indian taste buds. I have never seen cauliflowers ,cucumber ,beans and carrots in a Thai red curry. However, it had a good measure of lemongrass, coconut milk ,kafir leaves which brought the Thai taste. Missing ingredients was brinjal and basil. The height of the cuisine was the dessert- The Choco Lava cake , which is a MUST in this place. This is an unique preparation of a chocolate cake filled inside with hot molten chocolate served with a ice cream! 3.5 /5 on the food.

Service : It was quite fast, we finished the diner in less than a hour and did not have to wait for any dish. Waiters were courteous and when I asked why there is no towel napkin in a fine dining restaurant, there humble reply was to apologise that the laundry had not turned up that day:-) 5/5 on service.

Surprise : The complementary surprise desert was the : "Midnight Egg" which was a new dish they were trying made of coconut paste and mango jelly ( looked exactly like a fried egg, sunny side up)

Overall, we had a good experience and will try some European food there next time.

Needs Improvement

I went there first with my wife and the entire restaurant was empty. The MD came and met us graciously. We felt very welcome. They also clicked a picture of us, which never reached me somehow. Marvelled at the choco lava cake and the mango delight.
Visit #2 - went with office team for lunch. This time there were some issues in the soup and not enough chicken in a chicken soup. Would have like the waiter to be a little more accomodating and instead of discussing why so many chicken pieces are sufficient, go back and get some more chicken pieces in the soup. Food was still great. No choco lava cake. No choice in desert.
Visit #3 - Again an office lunch. Nothing great to mention. Service as usual was slow.
Visit #4 - called ahead to reserve a seat. They duly did. Went with another couple. They were accomodating with our request. We requested deserts quickly, knowing that it take a lot of time if you dont do it. Food finished at 10.10 pm, but we were able to get out only af 10.45 and that too only after my wife had to go and get the bill from the counter, because the waiter was too busy to get the bill with the desert which we requested.
- Need to have more waiting staff. We had to call out for attention every single time.
- Need to make the service more efficient and close an entire course in less than 1 hr if requested.

Good food, disgusting service

This place has fallen prey to greed too early in its lifetime. The first time I went there was on a friend's b'day, and boy, it was a blown put experience. We were all wowed by the food and the drinks and to a certain extent the service too. The prawns and the thin crust pizza were bang on spot. The live band, well, its average, but its there, better than recorded music. This was a Friday And that experience made me promise my friends that we were going back to this place on my b'day too.

So, to keep my promise, I made a reservation on my b'day and we got there by 7.30 p.m. It was a Wednesday. We get in, almost not a soul in sight, the waiter shows us the table and thrusts a "Set Buffet Menu" (whatever that means) in our face. So I tell him we want the Ala-Carte. Bang comes the reply "But we don't have prawns and lamb in Ala-Carte". Dude, what do you have, vegetables!!! We say OK, we'll have the Main Course. Next I ask for the Drinks Menu. Next reply, "We don't server alcohol". Buddy, what did u serve me last Friday, som-rus!!! Explanation - "We have alcohol only on weekends". For a normal human being like me, this was a bit beyond my normal intelligence. And then the normal human being in me blows up. I ask for the manager and as to why I was not informed all this when I have the reservation. Manager comes at his convenience and assures he'll check what all he can serve. I give him 5 mins, he doesn't bother to return in 5 mins. So I shift my party to Westin. And well, Westin in Westin. What can you say!!!

About Cinnamon, I have a piece of advice - You will continue making money over the long term when people stop spreading bad publicity about your cheap tacticsto fleece people of their money by forcing your bullshit Set Menu on them. Have some sense people, thing of what you wanna do - stay open for 1 yr stealing money from people or stay open for years making sustained money and long term goodwill.

Wow and WOW!

Five star all the way. Great ambiance, love the warm casual feel of the place. Good service, they go out of their way for you. For example, My wife did not like the soup she choose from the options, they replaced it free of charge. Very curtious and professional.

And finally the food... From the salad to the desserts (notice I say desserts), the chefs at Cinnamon Fusion wowed us with course after course of sophisticated culunary delights. The Salad was fresh and crunchy. The soup was light and refreshing. The starters (kababs) were full bodied and texturally exquisite. The Pizza was 'REAL', with REAL cheese. The main (we choose Pan fried chicken) was a masterpiece of idea and execution. And then the dessers arrived. WOW! What a way to end the meal. The Choco java was texturally PERFECT. The cake outside was mildly crunchy and the insides were gooey exactly like they should be. I litterally cannot think of a way to make this any better. This restaurant is a labor of love by the young guys who run it. Nothing else could have created that menu.

I realize that the format of the restaurant and, some of the Western (Continental) dishes can be hard for the average Indian to digest (pun intended!). But this is a fusion restaurant and on that count they deliver. Well done!

Devastating experience!!!

I had gone there with my office colleagues for a team dinner. We were 11 and reached this place around 745PM on Friday. The restaurant was just started and we decided to go with their 'Preset Menu' and drinks. Overall it was a bad idea and experience for our gathering and party! The dissection goes as follows:-
Food:
The preset menu means six course meal, which includes a soup, salad, 6 piece starters, main course (little rice and chicken/veg curry) and a desert (Ice cream or Jalebi) which is priced at INR 570/person (including tax)!. Started with drinks and starters was served after 30 mins and we didn’t want go for soup and salad. It was limited with just six pieces and anything extra was charged. And there were very limited menu options, and most of them weren’t available in Kitchen. The steward every time checked in kitchen before taking the order. At the end some of us felt to have deserts, but the steward was ready to get the bill. Later he got Ice cream and crappy Jalebi just like complimentary!
Drinks:
The Drinks served only On Fridays and Sat ‘days, and they have offer 1+1 on these days. The offer doesn’t apply to Cocktails and Mock tails. Just for spirits and they are very limited. Some of us started with cocktails and some with spirits. We felt the spirits aren’t original and Cocktails were never felt even after 3rd or 4th. Spoke to GM and BM (Bar manager), and the next couple of drinks were better. It was a bad service; we had to wait at least 10 -15 minutes for the next drink. Also we reminded several times for Drink, water, soda, and Ice.
Service:
When a big group is gathered, it’s reasonable that at least one person dedicated for service. There was no attention for us, evertime we had to wait if somebody was around! The service was pathetic as it was very late; every time we had to remind what was ordered. The menu was limited and most of them weren’t available! This was noticed almost all tables and manager was seen talking to customers pacifying!
Ambience:
Only better thing, the atmosphere was refreshing, clean and Hygienic. Adding to this live music supposed to start at 8PM, and the band arrived at 845PM! Otherwise light music was better idea.
Conclusion:
Overall everybody felt in the group that it was no good experience, rather spoiled our night. We gathered there for celebrating a project success but the party was a Failure. None of us want to revisit this place or suggest to somebody! We had spent around 22K that night, everybody felt there are several other restaurants nearby we could have had better experience within 10-15k. We trusted the reviews on Burp.com and visited there, now we feel most these are not genuine.

An experience worth remembering

Heard a lot about this place through online forums and word of mouth so I wanted to give this a try considering Madhapur really lacks a good restaurant...I stepped into the restaurant and I was greeted by the warm ambience which had lot of english influence...I couldn't wait to try the food...The captain who attended the table presented the menu and told me it's a 6 course meal and everything is pre-plated....I don't recall the last time I was on a restaurant which served food pre-plated if it is not ala-carte.True fine dining. It started with soup and me being a vegetarian had quite a few options to choose from. The starters was a platter of 4 different types which combined together was a journey of flavors.I couldn't wait to get my hands on the thin crust pizza which was traditional Italian.Dominoes need to watch and learn.I chose the pasta in white sauce which was the best pasta I've ever tasted and when the manager spoke to me, he explained the cooking process is called Al-dante which means the pasta is not supposedly to be overcooked. The dessert pretty much hit the home run with white chocolate mousse which had an unbelievable consistency which just melted in the mouth. All in all it was a great experience and remembering my experience makes me hungry again.Cant wait to be back at Cinnamon Fusion.
PS:Did I mention they play one of the best soft rock music I've heard in a restaurant

A restaurant like no other

I have been to several eating joints all over the country and overseas and I must add that Cinnamon Fusion has taken dining to a whole new level of experience.... totally mind blowing both in it's exquisite tasting dishes and charming archaic nouveau interiors.
I also found that I could walk in between tables without bumping into another's chair. The placement of the tables too has a lot of technique that I've seen in only five star restaurants. I've had to wait long for my single order on dishes in five star restaurants in Argentina,Brazil and Colombia.
Out here it's a 6 course menu...I was extremely impressed with the effort of the entire team to put up a 6 course menu that was served with the utmost graciouness. Hospitality was flawless and to the point. Using the Pad as the Menu was quite appealing to all of us...Then it was available for games too, as my son is a gadget freak.
This is so different from the mundane ....eat till you can stuff your face till it comes out of the pores...Buffet system...BAD FOR HEALTH.
People think global now with all kinds of cuisine available and ingredients too. My palate was on a roller coaster ride at Cinnamon Fusion, Fine crust pizza, sun dried tomatoes, 3 varieties of fine cheeses. My taste buds were teased and the concoctions and elements on the plate were so pleasing to the eye. The molecular structure of food being re invented is heavenly specially with the desserts...
I give it full marks for taking on a foodie paradise like Hyderabad and delivering the goods.... I've been there four times and my experience has been exhilarating....and I can't wait to go back again

A not-so-bad-and-not-so-great experience

It was a lazy sunday afternoon, and I hadn't had my breakfast. It was also my friend's birthday. So, we were looking for a place that would offer a filling, yet sumptuous, meal. I had heard about Cinnamon Fusion, so we decided to try it out.
The restaurant has a pre set menu that consists of 6 courses ; there's one menu for vegetarians and one for non-vegetarians. The steward, however, told us that we could not order for a second serving (Disappointment 1).
Being a veg, I went with the veg menu and order a leek and potato soup. I wouldn't say that the service was the quickest that I have seen, but it was fast enough. The soup looked good and that's about it. The vegetable stock was a little too diluted, and therefore the soup didn't taste like it, ideally, should have tasted.
Then came the salad - a few lettuce leaves, a few rings of black olives, some tomatoes, and something-else-that-I-don't-know-the-name-of. The serving size was so small that the salad was over in almost no time (Disapppointment 2). The salad tasted nice though.
Then a small plate of assorted veg kabab, paneer tikka, a potato prepration and another one made of corn and spinach. Those 4 small pieces were again gone in record time.
Then we were served 2 slices of a thin crust pizza, which was topped with mozarella cheese, olives, tomato, and small cut pieces of cucumber. The pizza was really really tasty ( notice the 2 really ), but I wish I got a few more pieces of it. (Disappointmet 3)
Finally came the main course - penne, in white sauce. The pasta was decent, but again, the quantity was too small.
For dessert, I ordered a chocolava cake with vanilla icecream (the other one on the veg menu contained egg). While my friend and I were waiting for our desserts, the steward suprised us a mango dessert, on the house ; the dessert was really tasty. And then came the higlight of our meal - chocolava cake with vanilla icecream. The cake was really soft and and mouth melting. I won't be surprised if was freshly baked. The chocolate core was hot and its union with vanilla icecream was just heavenly. When we were done, we requested for our cheque. Now, this was the worst part. Not only was my card charged against the wrong bill, but it also took the folks 10 minutes to realize their mistake. In the end, I signed on some other guy's merchant copy of the bill, and he signed on mine.

The ambience of the restaurant was really good, the staff courteous, and the food tasty. My billing experince, however, was way below par. Moreover, after spending Rs. 1140 on a meal for two, my friend and I still felt empty stomach; after the lunch we went to Domino's and had a stuffed garlic bread.

If you're looking for a different experience, you can try out this place. But if you're starving, then this place is not for you. There are plenty of other good restaurant that serve really great buffet.

Pathetic Service, Refreshing Ambience, OK Food

I had gone there with my family, and the rate at which they served food, my child became restless, my dad fell asleep, and my wife was cursing me for spoiling her weekend bringing her to this restaurant. I did ask the waiter to speed up the process, he and his General Manager came and told me this is the maximum speed they can serve. The food(small bits and pieces, tiny morsels of so-called food) arrived a good 15 minutes after the order. Since my dad was only interested in a quick snack I had ordered from ala carte menu. The soup and starter from ala carte came 30 minutes after placing the order. Luckily the set menu soup had come after 15 minutes and my dad could have it. Surprise of surprise, they do not put salt in their soups, so we had to add salt, it would not be worth mentioning as an ordeal but for the kind of salt shaker they kept on my table. After shake-shake-shaking for more than 5 minutes, nothing changed in the soup. So I pried open the stopper and found some rice grains inside instead of salt.
So I helped myself from the next table, instead of waiting for the waiter to wait another 15 minutes before he can give me a salt shaker. Finally my dad got to eat the soup.
Good I did not make my dad wait, as the soup ordered for him through ala carte menu never showed up.
When I thought of asking about it, we were already running past our planned dinner time, so did not have the energy or inclination to press the issue.
Quantity served is very much sufficient for a toddler, but as it happened we are adults with decent appetite, variety is fine, service quality cannot become poorer, they hit the basement level already on that front,. In Main course, we got served extremely large quantities of rice(4 spoons). I could not believe my eyes, I was instantly reminded of the famous MunnaBhai MBBS dialog, "Arre Bhai, ye toh Shuru Hote hi Khatam ho gaya!"
Pasta was quantity wise OK, I was told I will get Red sauce, but they served me White Pasta.
Of course I did not again ask them why? Why? because their GM said they had lots of pride in dishing out exactly this kind of service.

Dessert arrived: White Mousse was fine, choco lava cake was really good.

Ambiance was refreshing, bright, with a live guitarist/ vocalist churning out good old western numbers, was pleasant. The faux stable doors and old fashioned western classic decor was a welcome break from the otherwise tasteless interiors usually found in Hyderabad except for a few restaurants.

For the kind of service they provide, the price is not worth it at all.

To top the bitterness of the experience, their General Manager, explained to me that they take pride in their service. He sure must have received a lot of bull on the quality of his service, and has no clue what to do to improve their process speed. So, he instantly falls into a monologue, on Blah Blah, fine dining restaurant..blah blah.. We take pride... in serving... This was surely the crappiest part of the entire experience.

Also, one irritating excuse that food is good because we prepare it Just in Time, hence the delay, is a serious bunch of bull ****. Why not milk your cows when I order coffee?

Having said whatever I had to, IMO, the restaurant is a really good idea. The Ambiance is refreshing, food is good. All they need is a better kitchen process to improve service quality(read quick service), as I saw that the staff were eager to help, but were helpless themselves.

Out of the World!!!!

I have been to Cinnamon a few times and would vouch that the food has always surpassed my expectations. i don't think they have an awfully congested menu, but that has proved to be a good thing as they clearly perfect the dishes in a way that it has not been served in any other restaurants. Its a treat for people with good taste in food!!! Looking forward to dining there more often.

A perfect fusion of quality, ambience and service!

I had a chance to visit this place recently (suggested by a friend), and it was a pleasant surprise! The quality of the food they served was amazing! The people working behind the scenes to prepare the food really know what they are doing, and leave no tables unturned in getting your taste buds racing! The Saturday night live music was a bliss. Just added to the pleasing experience! Also, it would be worthwhile mentioning a note about the service. It seemed everyone was putting all their efforts in providing an experience worth remembering!
Would surely reccommend this to my friends!

Worst Place in Hyderabad

I request all not to go to this place.......Its a total waste........Its better not to eat rather than coming here......Waste of time & money. They just have the buffet of 569 (with taxes). All dishes are worse. Service standards are poor. Just the ambience is decent which doesn't serve the purpose.....It does not deserve even 1 star.

Thanks Prateek for the review. We would just like to clarify that we do not serve buffets. Rather, we have a six-course pre-plated set menu which costs the amount that you mentioned in the review. We take great pride in our service standards and the quality of the food we serve. We would like to know some more about your visit and details around what we can do better. Please do give us call at 9010601029 and we will be happy to hear more about your side of the story.

Good food..... set menu has diff cuisines

I went to this place with my office colleagues earlier this week. Since the place is very new, we were all eager to check it out. We had checked the menu on Zomato and it seemed it had something for the diverse tastes we had in the team. However, when we reached there, we found out hat they serve only a "set menu" on the weekdays with no liquor. This was a huge setback for some of us in the team but still we went ahead to try the place. Note - liquor is served only on Fridays and Saturdays.

The place has excellent ambiance. It is well lit with good upholstery and pleasing color combinations. So we went ahead with the set menu that was available. (This is the first two pages uploded in the menu section). All the food items were excellent and were made just as they should be. But the menu has a big downside - you have a choice of cuisines in soups, an Italian salad, Indian entrees, pizza, continental main course and continental dessert. What I am indicating is that why did they put the Indian entrees and pizza? Pizza?? really?? in a set menu?? I mean set menus work best when they have a single cuisine. You do not need - Chinese, Indian, continental cuisines all in the same set menu to make it appealing.

The food quantity was very less and if there was something that you really liked, you did not get any extra helping. But I will congratulate the management for their excellent preparation. Tip - don't miss the date-filled pancake with vanilla ice cream. Its not on the set menu but do ask for it.

At Rs. 520/- plus taxes, I am not sure if it is value for money (considering the mixing of cuisines in the set menu).

Ambiance - 4/5 (and yes, they play live band on some days!)
Food - 4/5
Service - 4/5
Value for money - 3/5

Overall - 3.5/5 (for mixing up the set menu & not offering cocktails)

Thanks Nikhil for the review. We would like to address two of the primary concerns raised by you. As of now we serve alcohol only two days a week and are seriously considering about opening it to all seven days. Secondly, while you seem to be a foodie who loves one particular cuisine in a set menu, our purpose is to give our customers a taste from across the globe in a single visit. We respect your choice, however the other side of the story is that we have customers who love to experiment with their traditional notions about menu and cuisines.

Love It

Went to Cinnamon Fusion last Saturday. Although the spread is extremely limited, it was an experience to remember. Each and every item in our five course meal was delicious. My favorites were the French Onion Soup, Assortment of Non-veg starters, and Basa fish.
Service was also excellent. It was evident that everyone there wanted to go the extra mile. I was slightly annoyed as in spite of being told in advance that we were in a hurry, they took close to a couple of hours to serve all the five courses. But, other than that there isn't anything to complain about. I will almost certainly visit this place again.
And oh yeah, on Fri and Sat lunch there is a 1+1 offer on drinks.

P.S. Cinnamon team please don't spam burrp. Your three replies with 5 star rating are skewing the overall rating of the restaurant.

Good ambiance and food, slow service

I had recently gone to Cinnamon with team of around 30 people. The ambiance is really good, light music and the live band adds to experience. The food is a 6 course meal, with options to choose from in starters and main course. The starters and soup were really nice and was a nice refreshing change from the usual buffet in other restaurants. I liked the portion size of the dishes served. It lets you have all the course and you don’t actually feel overfull. Point to be noted – this is not the place for heavy eaters who visit buffet lunches or dinners for demolishing the joint.
Desserts are pretty decent and the presentation quite innovative. I give 10/10 on the plating of dishes.
Service was something which left us disappointed. The waiters are not used to handling big crowds and it took them a while to get the drinks as well as the food. Understandable that since it’s a course meal the dishes are plated and served, but waiters were carrying some other table’s orders to other team members. Nad not to forget, it took them like good 15 mins or so to get the drinks.
Overall, the food quality and ambiance are nice, but it seriously needs to work on service. This is an important aspect, given the restaurant is located right in the middle of Hi-tech Park and lot of company people throng the joint. Hopefully, it gets better.

go here if u have a loaded wallet and lots of free time and are a fan of bulimia..the food is not upto anyones expectations, but the interiors do try and makeup for your disapointment.

read the reviews on burrp and was all excited to try out a new place in the city . in madhapur in the software dist good location on the main road with valet parking in the basement. as u enter u will be surprised by the fab interiors the brick walls, the old wooden door and the fab unisex washroom

they have a set menu of starters soups main course and dessert. for two people with mocktails your bill shud be around 1500

lung fung soup was bland . NO salt NO pepper no anything . just bland .... after we added salt and pepper did it taste better

for the main course ordered the shredded chicken and fish with burmese rice. not very tastty either. what was the saving grace was the choco lava fudge cake with icecream......

service is prompt and too enthusiastic.......

i would recommend this place only for the fudge cake and interiors....

if only the management had invested more in the chefs and less on the interiors

Awesome and Different Experience

I visited this place with 4 friends today. Really impressed with the concept, ambience and service. 6 source meal have an edge above the regular buffet system. Best part is- Their way of calculated servings, the amount and items selected are beautiful.
This place is a clear winner in deserts and starters, main course may disappoint few who are typical Indian food lovers.
But really nice place for a change.
They offered a complementary desert which was just Awesome.
Overall, A unique place in town, worth a try.

Not a value for Money

We've headed to this place for lunch. When the doors were opened for us, we were amazed at the interiors. The ambience was tastefully done and was a fusion of various cultures. The menu card arrived and we were told that they had only set meals. The five course meal was again a fusion of Indo-Italian-Greek-Asian cuisine and looked quite interesting. The first course arrived almost after fifteen minutes .Minestrone soup was very flavorsome and we wiped off the bowl in no time. Ten more minutes later arrived the starters. Single piece of 4 kebabs were served in a fancy plate. Before we realized we gulped them down and wanted more (alas! we can't ask for repeats here). We then had Greek salad (nothing great), pasta (slightly uncooked, but not bad) and two slices of thin crust pizza with the freshest of cheese. One of us ordered for rice instead of pasta and we were served ginger fried rice and a saucy paneer curry. The desserts - you choose from lemon tart or date pan cake. We were given a surprise - A dessert that looked like a half cooked egg, but was actually made out of coconut and fruit gel. Very innovative and impressive. This one dominated the actual dessert. My verdict - Fancy food served in a very artful manner. Extremely slow service. The portion size is a major drawback and not a value for money.
