Good for all Boys Gangs
This place is bustling with bachelors all seven evenings a week. Its a favorite hangout for bachelors living in Kondapur. Its USP is loud music, liquor at reasonable rates and edible food to go with it. The ambiance is pretty poor. The entire place feels claustrophobic. Girls will feel un-welcome due to the deluge of guys around.
However, if you are a group of guys looking to have some drinks and enjoy a game (cricket/soccer/F1), definitely worth a visit.
Reliving College Days
If you are feeling a pinch on your pocket in the last week of the month yet ready to party on a bar, then Club 8 is the right place for you. If you don't want to drink in a very ultra sophisticated environment, rather enjoy time with your friends in a cheap & college life environment, Club is the best place. The bar never compromise on quality of Western Rock Music.
Grab beers or any other drink at prices about 20-25% higher than market rates & enjoy a plethora of starters, main course & deserts.
Club8's strong point is its VFM. There is very little markup on the alcohol served here, and for the money it charges, the ambiance is actually pretty decent. The in-house DJ is quite decent, and unlike some of the other places, Club8 plays a decent sampling of rock and alternate songs. The snacks are decent, but the food is strictly average.
Nice place, cheap booze
This review is limited to vegetarian dishes only.
This is among the very few places in Hyderabad that has never disappointed us.
Been here umpteen times, tried most of their dishes, always been happy after the visit.
The ambiance is pleasant and cozy. The service is prompt and courteous.
Personally, I found the food here better than some other overrated and over expensive Chinese restaurants in town. However, it may be a personal liking.
Their manchow soup is one of the best in the town. Ditto for their bamboo rice.
Have tried most of veg starters and main course and most of them are very good. And thankfully, I didn't find the excess use of cornflour in the gravy (a little bit is tolerable). The quantities are also good.
All the items are very moderately spiced and try to retain the original flavour.
One item that must find mention here is the "Teppan-Soba" noodles. It is very nicely flavoured butter garlic noodles served on a sizzler platter. A must try item.
The pricing is also moderate. Meal for two (One soup, one veg main course, one noodles/rice and two cold drinks) will add up to Rs 550-600 (approx.).
A must visit for Chinese food lovers.
If you are a first time visitor, you may have trouble finding this restaurant. It is located in the basement of a small shopping complex opposite Vengal Rao park. Just look for the "De-Kobbler" shop. It is in the same building. Offers valet parking for cars. However, two wheeler owners need some practice to park on the footpath. Well that is the only downside.
Cheap Drinks and Low Lights
Went here for a treat one night. Upon entering the lights are low and the music is loud. But then its a bar. It took time to adjust to the light there but it was kinda full as it was a weekend. -- There is smoke all around and not a very pleasant smell due to drinks and all. The music is mostly metal and rock which is very loud but people drinking won't mind it. The service is a bit slow and they make u pay before they bring the order. The drinks are cheap which is the main attraction but there is not much variety. Only a few brands are available and only the lower end ones. There are not many good options around. We ordered masala papad, masala peanuts and chicken 65. The papad was soggy and the chicken also did not taste remarkable. Then came the dinner after a bit long wait. The curries tasted all the same panner or chicken. There was nothing great in the food to challenge the taste buds but then its a bar not a restaurant. Certainly food could be done better. Only for people who want to hang out and drink cheap.
Les cheap drinks
I have always liked club8 for one major reason, unreasonably cheap booze !!!
A great atmosphere , I got to see a drunk guy's dance to the Beatles which was priceless .. it is quite a large bar and depending on where you sit you might get some bad odour but that generally passes to be after a peg.
Went there for 2 of my colleagues' bdays yesterday, we were greeted by comfy semi circular couches and a waiter who was more than eager to take our order. Having gone before we knew exactly what to order and so we did order quickly. The waiter kept asking for money after every order, something which I am generally not accustomed to (Begumpet Club8 guy either knows me too well or they are laid back and believe it is best if they give the bill as a huge shock to get us back to our senses instead of dealing it in installments).
The service is pretty fast ( I mean how much time wiould it take to get a few bottles of beer). They always have Roasted papad and peanut masala ready as it is generally always the customer's favourite.
The food too tastes pretty good as they get it from Haveli (same franchise) I think. The only problem might be with groups who are a bit too loud. The waiters make no attempt to stop them and their volume keeps steadily rising with the number of drinks that they order. But it is a small price to pay for the cheap drinks unless you are looking to buy from the 'theka'
Bill for 6 (with alcohol (ob!!!) and food) - Rs. 3000/-
I am regular customer of club 8, but today what I witness leaves a horrifying memory for me and it completely changes my perception about this place. Today I observe brutality at its best. It all started with a customer having an argument with a waiter, I was bit far away so dont know want was the argument about.
But what happen next completely astonished me. That waiter started pushing the guy in few seconds 2-3 bouncer came I thought they would be stopping the fight but to my surprise they also started physically abusing him. In few minutes there were at least 10-12 staff members, abusing, and beating (kicking and punching) that person, even they tore out his shirt.
In short I am never going to visit that place again and would advise other also to do the same .Anyone could be victim of those lunatics brutality.
I am not allowed by system to give less than one rating otherwise they don't deserve that also.
Worst Experience EVER!!!!!
WORST Experience Ever!!!
Seven of us went to give farewell to our friend, and we thought of taking two bottles of scotch.Since we were in a big group so we thought of asking for some Discount (from the Restaurant manager).
And then when the bomb drops on us, Manager came and he said "If u can not afford it then u better leave it" which was rude from his end but since it was raining outside we thought of sticking to the place. But in next 5 minutes he came with two BOUNCERS and asked us to leave the restaurant.
We were shocked, we kept asking the reason but he didnt allow us to say even a single word and on top of that he asked the Bouncers to note down our Licence Plate numbers and never allow these guys to come again.
Guys, i am telling u worst worst experience EVER!!!!
Average for food... good bargain on beverages!
The food is average - some items like biriyani and starters tastes good! Cost is very moderate and light on purse! Ambiance is pretty decent for the 1st floor and roof garden but it is horrible in the 3rd floor with extremely high volumes and unbearable noise.... Overall a decent bargain!
Not expensive but not great service
Well , the place is best for only guys. The crowd is always shady. The music is good at times. The DJ plays your requests often. Beer costs Rs 95/-, but they usually never have any strong beer. So either it is royal challange or at most fosters for u. So that sucks. Snacks are okay. Not very good, neither bad. On the whole the place is a good hang out for the guys. Though the waiters do not listen. The service is very poor. But if u have less money, this is the place to be. Good for all guy groups.
Perfect for Corporate
Lazing around one evening, I accompanied 3 of my colleagues to the Kondapur Club 8 just to chill out.
My first experience in drinking in a bar. I was quite amazed to see the place empty but my colleagues remembered me that we have reached a little early and it will take time until the crowd gets in.
We started our rounds and by the end. With the music in the background and the DJ playing our requests it was quite a fun. It was perfect ambience and we all were happy and drunk. :)
The charges on the drink and food where affordable as it had corporate rates unlike the corporate discount they give in it's Begumpet branch.
Only drawback was its staff who could have been a little more competent and off course the lack of choices on Budwieser.
