Awesome Place for Lunch Buffet
The food tastes great! Out of many hotels I tried, this one stands out. I have gone there twice and both the times the food tasted very good. They had a lot of varieties in Non-Veg and desserts. The price is also not so high when compared to many hotels where the prices are much higher and the food does not taste good.
Would definitely like to visit again!
Fooood all the way.....
the ambiance is good nothing great to awe about but there are some specific dishes which stand out at this place do try the chilly prawns and the murgh reshmi kebab both of these are exceptionally done and are the USP of this place also the bhutan chicken is a good dish to be tried and not to forget the chilli chicken pakoda which looks like spicy kfc please note that this place is a non veg heaven but there is seldom anything for veggies if you opt for the buffet which is very economical.
If you want to spend some good time this is not the place.
The ambiance is like any other average restaurant, infact quite dull.
You get a lot of food options in the menu but the dishes are not prepared to perfection.
The buffet price is less and there are numerous dishes, but the flavor of most of them isn't up to the mark.
The service is not very cordial either. The cigarette smell is all over the place.
Tasteless food and dim lights is all the place is about.
A very average experience
Haveli is well known in our locality for dishing out good food for affordable prices. Recently had the chance to revisit the restaurant as part of a Bengali meetup.
Since it was a large group, buffet food was offered. We started with the Chicken Egg Drop soup. The chicken was virtually missing in the soup, however otherwise it tasted well.
Next we went for the main courses. For vegetarians there was sambar, dal maakhni and paneer butter masala. However the group was mainly non vegetarian, so there were mutton rogan josh, chicken masala and egg curry. Vegetable pulao, Indian breads and rice accompanied these.
My comments on the food - liked the dal maakhni and mutton rogan josh (the mutton quality was good and gravy was well cooked). The chicken masala was decent too. However I felt that the onions were not fried properly in the egg curry and they remained half done.
Worst was the veg pulao, which I felt had a stale smell.
Overall an average experience. The restaurant seems to have positioned themselves as value-for-money, but that should not mean that they cut corners in quality. Also quite a few dishes have lot of scope for improvement.
Good Food and Ambiance
I kind of feel this place is truly Hyderabadi.. Biryani is nice...a few fine dining in that locality. I kind of just felt the place has that stinky alcohol smell that put me off and my friend. Else, the place is fine. Reasonably priced and good ambiance.. Dine in Haveli isstyle,,
I went to Haveli twice with my close friends. Really it was beautiful experience of getting different taste of Biriyani in Hyderabad. I had boneless Biriyani and It was Delicious. not only mine but others too have given positive. After going Haveli I personally feel to take my family members to there next time because of his service and Ambiance.
Average Food and Bad Service
When you are in Begumpet and are super hungry you can visit this place for a reasonably priced buffet. Food wont disappoint you that much.
But when you try the a- la-carte, be prepared to get the service poorer than a Dhaba. You can see some highly ill-mannered staff here.
For food, it's a yes.
Bad except for the food
My wife and I dropped in for dinner three days ago.Being a Sunday evening, we had to wait for 10 mins for a table. My previous visit must have been more than a year ago but I was back because I have always liked Haveli's food and ambiance.
When we were seated at our table, the first thing I saw was a stain on the table cloth.Hmmm...The Menu arrived next, and it was quite untidy with scribbles and scrawls on a few pages,hmmmm....We ordered and waited for our dinner to arrive.
The starter arrived in five minutes flat! Wow,we wondered if it was someone elses cancelled order reheated and served!Needless to say,the item was delicious, piping hot and the portion was substantial.
The main meal consisting of Naans and a side dish arrived just 3 mins. later...wow again! Again, delicious and piping hot.
My wife asked for some lemon to use with the rich side dish. She was informed that Lemon was 'not available'! Hello.....?!
Later, we ordered a coke.We were told that only Thumps Up was available. The order was placed. As we waited,my wife suddenly asked the server to 'bring it in the bottle'.She explained later that she saw our server,Thumps Up in hand, searching for a glass. Our corner table had a cupboard nearby which restaurants typically stock frequently used and asked for table items. He found here a glass half filled with water which he promptly emptied and was about to pour the Thumps Up into it (Most likely somebody's used glass just brought there after clearing a table!!!) Bad....
Well, we finished our meal and asked for finger bowls which appeared almost immediately sans any lemon piece in it.....'non- availablity' you see...lol. By the way, there were two gents in the table behind me,who had just finished paying the bill a few minutes before then who were gently informed that there were people waiting for a table!!Basically a 'please leave now'.Bad....
While leaving we found the Paan platter at the entrance empty. When asked for Paan we were informed that it 'was over'!
Verdict - What can I say....the areas for improvement are obvious.Their shocking behaviour and attitude was unforgivable.BUT their food is very very tasty and relatively speaking is 'nominally' priced as you can see from the Menu. The ambiance is cosy. So, go there only if yummy food at an affordable price is your only concern.
Hoggers in Haveli
An unusually crowded place--we were greeted by 2 waiters who refused to let us sit at the table for 6 even though we were 5 people.. Weird!!! Finally they allowed us to sit at the table for 6 after a very heated argument with the manager there.
There were a variety of items in the menu starting from Tandoori kababs to the Steaks. I was pretty impressed by the spread!!!
We decided to try the tandoori non veg platter, kadai chicken accompanied by butter naans.
We were very hungry and were thankful that their service was fast. We tore through the chicken pieces as hungry wolves tear through helpless preys.
The tandoori platter and kadai chicken was quite filling for the 5 of us.
The platter had four types of kababs - the tangdi kabab, chicken tikka, reshmi kabab and what seemed like- haryali kabab. Each had 3 pieces.
The kadai chicken had more cashews and capsicum than chicken, even the waiter served 2 large slices of capsicum thinking it was chicken.
Overall it was an okay experience at this place as the food here is quite cheap. Rs 250/- per head
Okay place for Buffet...
We visited Haveli for the lunch buffet. It was an okay type of variety with moderate variety of food items. Starters, salads, main course & desserts... all these are limited in variety. Starters taste good with Soup & some veg/non-veg snack (this snack was only 1) As I said, it lacks variety.
Salads are only tomato, onion & cucumber with some chicken chat pata & boiled egg. Two types of veg & non-veg curries, dal, raita, biryani and one or two more dishes. I didn't find the menu very interesting. All the desserts were okay in taste & again limited in variety (3-4 options).
Service & staff behavior was good. We had felt that AC works too low at Haveli & hence it was little suffocating.
In all, I felt it was an okay place for the lunch buffet. You may want to take a chance with Haveli buffet & try yourself.
Good Food but Bad Ambience
One fine weekday, I was eager to try some good Indian buffet lunch and I landed @ Haveli with a couple of friends. I was little ticked off to see the ambience. The place was too small and crowded may be due to its location which is a regular to office goers and shoppers.
Somehow I managed to be happy with the platter they offered in Buffet. It was a huge range of salads, biriyani, Roti, chicken, mutton et all. The ice-cream served at the end seemed to me either stale or of cheap quality. My personal favorite was the chicken salad.
The buffet priced at Rs. 250 was a fair ordeal. I was pleased with the overall experience but not HAPPY.. :(
