Very high-handed behaviour

Generally I love to go for buffets for lunch to wind up early on working days. Once we thought of having team lunch at Red Bean. I called up the hotel and spoke to the manager for reservation and told him that we would be coming at around 12.30pm.
Then the way he responded, it took some time for me to digest it.
He said we need to come by 12.40, or else the reservation stands cancelled. I told him it is not fair as sometimes it may take some time to mobilise everyone on dot. Now this guy started giving me a lecture on punctuality. He said "Sir, when you give time means you should follow it. Our restaurant is mostly crowded and we cannot hold the table for longer time. If you do not turn out by 12.45, we will cancel the reservation".
Wow!! I didn't know that calling up a restaurant will get me a free lecture on punctuality. I asked him "suppose if we arrive at 12.50 and we don't get a table where should I go with my team? That would be embarrassing for my team". He still responded that he can't hold the table more than that.
I was already embarrassed the way he's talking.
Being a great foodie, in last 5-6 years, I have organised many parties and official/team events in Hyderabad, and never ever anyone from a restaurant spoke in that way.
With such type of attitude, I can guess what type of service I will get even if I go there, and god knows how many more embarrassments we may need to face there.
Then I politely told him that if he's having such a difficulty in reserving a table, please cancel it, I would look for some other restaurant. He said ok and I hanged off.
Maybe he got that headweight as the place is generally crowded.
But if they are having such an attitude, they're asking for their own downfall.
I have decided never to go to that place and told the same to my friends and colleagues.

Awesome Dal Makhni

I visited the place thrice leaving a gap of a couple of months between visits. Had a buffet once and ala-carte the 2 other times. The buffet was so so. But the ala-carte dining experience was great. The non-veg platter and the dal

Paying and Leaving was the best part

I guess everything had to go wrong on SAturday last week. We reach Red Bean around 01:00PM, and were welcomed by a few cleaners/cooks cutting onions outside! We make our way in and while being seated, (By the way, they had 2-3 waiters who were quite jobless and who did not even bother to help us find a seat)we decide to call for one of the waiters and ask him if they serve a-la-carte! I must add here that the expression i got was slightly more than UTTER DISGUST where he simply said "WO SUB NAHI HAI SIR". Now coming to the food.........the dragon chicken or what ever they called it was dip soaked in OIL, the chicken soup and egg and hardly any chichen, and for the other items, well, I was just happy that i had a light meal! Now for the sweet section.....they called a simple kheer (semia payasam in tamil) as custard "something". If you have had the patience to have read thus far, now coming to the best part. They were prompt in getting the bill and i did the honors of paying and leaving! (Some one needs to tell their staff that being a service industry....service is essential....and the next step from there would be GOOD SERVICE"

No buffet!!!

Had buffet some 2 times.. Must say its horrible atleast for the veggies.. Some dishes are horrible.. They are absolutely bad taste.. Its not about more salt or more spice.. Its just bad taste.. We asked for the manager and after 15-20 mins of argument about who is the manager, one man (whom I believe was a waiter 15-20 mins ago) came.. He gave the expression "Like I care about your feedback.. This place has huge rush" After that I have avoided the place.. Surprisingly couple of my friends who have been there and had ala-carte for dinner at that place go gaga over the place.. So not sure why there is such a huge difference in the taste..

Superb North Indian Food

Dropped by on a Friday evening and found the place bustling with customers. Ordered in the Lemon Coriander Soup followed by a Tangdi Kebab. The soup was good but the tangdi kebab was absolutely delicious. Tried the Peshawari Rajma and the Aloo paratha + masala kulcha and all turned out to be quite good.

Unhestatingly, just the best choice to have good north indian food in Gachibowli.

Delicious Lunch Buffet

Was there with my mom at lunch the other day and we were bowled over by the delicious food that we had. Nothing was spicy or oily (a rare thing at restaurants) and with great taste to boot. The LIVE counter for Tikka Ragada was great. The service standards were excellent and we were taken care very well. Highly recommended and we are sure to go back there again.

Poor hygiene, poorer business ethics??

Dish had hair in it, when it was brought to the notice of management they didn't care at all. Not even a 'sorry', infact they had the audacity to still charge for it. Didn't even feel like arguing with them, can't imaging what hygiene standards they have... don't go to this place... there are decent places like Wonton etc.?

Excellent Food and Ambience

It was an absolutely pleasant surprise for me and my wife to be present at the beautiful Candlelight dinner at The Red Bean on 24th July. While the candles on every table added to the aura of the already nice ambience, the food was excellent right through. The kebabs and the mutton rogan josh were just superb. We will go back again for sure very soon...

Awesome A'la Carte !

I have been to The Red Bean before on a few occasions for the lunch buffet with my colleagues and always found the food very good for the pricing (reasonable 189 bucks). I tried out their Dinner A'la Carte for the first time, and I must admit I was very impressed by the food quality and service. Its a truly different ambience in the evening when compared to the day. The Bharwan Aloo was delicious, the Methi chicken was fantastic and the Tangdi Kebab blew me away. Ended with evening with a delicious Matka Kulfi. Highly recommended for North Indians.

Wrost Food

This is the worst restaurant I had ever dined in Hyderabad. We were about 14 members and went for Lunch Buffet. We called prior and reserved the seats they told buffet will be started with the welcome drink. After arriving at the restaurant they took us to the 4th floor.

No welcome drink. There are very few items found in the Lunch Buffet and the food served is very very chill and even the taste is also not good. One of my colleague asked for rotis they were served when he was eating Ice cream that too they were brought from the other table which were left unused.
So never and ever prefer RED BEANS.

Good food

We went to this restaurant today (Sunday) and went for the lunch buffet option. The food was fine. A special mention to the Fresh Lime Soda that we ordered - Really Nice! :) A good place to hang out with friends. They have a large screen too for projecting any matches, etc. Good music too. They don't have liquor (though they will ask you to provide a comment in the feedback form whether you want liquor to be served in the restaurant or not!)Overall, it is a good place. Will go there again.

Good Andhra dishes but average north Indian...

We went to the Red Bean first time yesterday with an open mind expecting to see almost nobody. To our surprise there were already many people in there. The ambiance and setting of the place is quite good for the price they charge. After inspecting their buffet menu, which was heavily advertised by the waiter we asked for the regular menu to look for interesting items. However the waiter discouraged us to opt for the regular menu saying it will take him atleast 20-30 minutes to prepare. So we went in for the lunch buffet. The food was generally good, however, the andhra dishes were the best. Specifically the fish curry was the best. The tandoori chicken was tad cold, hence didn't like it. The vegetarian options were okay, his biriyani was good but almost none of the vegetables were that great. Overall I thought the chef might have been a good Andhra chef and was stretching himself to cook variety of stuff. I will still recommend the place for typical non-special days. The price is certainly very reasonable at Rs 210 (incl taxes) for the buffet on Sunday and no parking hassles (but have to bear with the goats next door).
