I’m Bawa and I Know it @ NCPA

photo_tata-theatre-ncpa_nariman-point_mumbai@68hxf5fh_460y_2If reviews are to be believed, this is fast-paced, witty play, written by Meherzad Patel and directed by Danesh Irani is one you shouldn’t miss. The play documents the life of Keki who needs to get married to a Parsi girl within thirty days to keep his house or he’ll be forced to move to Canada with his parents. The problem with this arrangement is that Keki does not like anything Parsi; in fact, Keki does not like girls!  Though light hearted by appearance, the play questions some serious issues like the principle that demotes marriage outside the community, unfair housing policies and the taboo of homosexuality in the 21st century.
