It's expensive, get this straight first! But the single time experience of dining here brought me to know of murgh ka salan , a fab dish. The prawn item on offer was quite well prepared too, as was the biriyani and kebabs. But since cost of food is quite high, one can think twice before spending here. It was slow going for us as the service was a bit slack. A 3 star rating from me.
Sigree THe GOod and the Bad...
This was my first visit to Sigree with my Fiance so wanted this outing to be a bit special..But it turned out to be a total let down...Apart from the decor things didn't seem great...It took me a good 2 hours to walk out of the restaurant...Thanks to the Service levels..Had to ask so many times just for water. The Food was average like any other decent north Indian joint. But the service was pathetic. I may go to Sigree once in a while, only if I am with my family, to spend a quiet dinner. Otherwise the marginal utility derived is very less.

Awesome...in one word...I remember the first time we went to Sigri, it had just opened shop and did not have license to serve liquor except on weekends...and there we were 3 friends out to celebrate a friend's B'day..a B'day party without booze!!..now that would have been a sacrilege..:P.. and yet we liked the place so much that we decided to have some food...and boy! did we love it!!!..stunning decor, excellent service..we vouched that we'll be back..and we sure did..the repeat experience was great too..prices are on the higher side, but its worth it if you are fond of good north indian fare...their spicy slow-cooked stuff are awesome..I particularly liked the rann-e-dum (may not be the exact name for the dish)...i would say go check it out!!

May be I had more expectation ...I found the taste very normal unlike any other restaurant in kolkata....indeed it has good interiors and service is quiet average!!! Nothing special that you will look forward for a second visit.
