Ghatkopar's Best Food Joint

Hello people! Being a resident of Ghatkopar and a Gujju, i believe Achija is the king of Mumbai you can say. They serve worlds best pav bhaji ever.

Also to add to it, there's the PAV SANDWHICH.
If you are a Chinese food lover like me do try the TRIPLE SCHEZWAN RICE which is just out of the world.

Don't forget to eat their Cheese Tawa Pulav & Royal Falooda

I was taken here by my bunch of friends who stay in and around Ghatkopar! Once I went here, it became my hot favourite in that area. Right from the food to the juices and the pav-bhaji, nothing should be missed!

Best Pav bhaji

Achija is famous for its pav bhaji. The most crowded place in ghatkopar is achija. It is also open till late in the night aprox 1-2 am. Achija pavbhaji is soo yummy that it is to die for. There is always a huge line outside to get a table. The pav bhaji is full of butter. The cheese pav bhaji is even better. Also you can try the garlic cheese roll. It is like cheese garlik bread but softer. The watermelon blossom is also very good. My friends had the biryani and they say it was also too good, even though i haven't eaten it.

Unbeatable Pav Bhaji..Very tasty

The word "Achija" in Kutchhi means Plz come.. is a place well know for Pav Bhaji since many years...

I regularly go to this place to have Pav Bhaji, Milk Shakes, Shev Puri and so on..

Pav Bhaji and bread has lot of Amul Butter at by the time you finish your plate.. Your fingers are full of Butter.. One should definitely try "Kadak Pav" .. Also burgers and Shev Puri are delicious...

The Best Place to have food in Central Suburb..

Price is reasonable and Quality is fabulous..

Keep coming for Pav bhaji!

Achija is a Kutchi word that is used when people part, not with a Good bye, but with the positive intent of meeting again. It literally translates to Come back soon. And indeed, this Achija at Ghatkopar has been welcoming customers so well now that it has transformed from a simple road side stall to a crowded restaurant.

Pav Bhaji is what Achija has always been known for. It is nice no doubt, good quantity with masala onions and all, but somehow I always found it a bit over rated. They have sandwiches, pizzas, Chinese, dosas and the usual jazz which are just about average. Somehow, the pav bhaji's taste and flavours have always remained consistent as opposed to the other dishes. If today you find their sandwich wonderful, may be tomorrow you wont. The prices are quite steep for a roadside restaurant and not really worth it. My friend recently had their Chocolate Milk shake which was priced at a shocking Rs.170!! However, the crowds seem to love the place and the rush during weekends is to be seen to be believed. Since, they have another sitting area right across the road, it is a normal thing to see the staff moving around the place, using walkie talkies and discussing the availability of seats in either area, thus making sure that each empty seat is filled immediately. The main person managing the show is really polite and also quite well known amongst the regulars there. These guys sure have a lot of patience to manage the crazy hungry crowd, especially on weekends. Appreciate the efforts!

Acchija has been every Ghatkoparians pride since years now and I believe that it is their welcoming attitude which makes its customers visit there again and again.

One of the beast places in Central Suburbs to eat

The best part about this place is that it remains open till 1.30 am which is good for bachelors like us. You just cant afford to miss the Cheese Pav Bhaji and Masala Grill Papad (unique offering). The food is brilliant but ambiance is not. I feel the pricing is also slightly on the higher side but who cares when you are hungry at 1 am. Mostly during the evenings its crowded so better go late. Try avoiding Idlis and Dosas which are below par.

Best Pavbhaji in town!

Achija is one thing every ghatkoparite is proud about! Hungry at 1 in the night and you are around ghatkopar achija is the place to be at. Undoubtedly can be termed as Mumbai's best pav bhaji selling place. The pav served with the bhaji is less cooked in butter than dipped in it. They are famous for their masala grill papad which is unique offering. Its a place where you would want to go when your hungry and dont care about the water sipping into the hotel during monsoons. The boss over there is very courteous and personally tries to give you a table.
The problem at achija is their pricing. They have pav bhaji costing at 120-130 bucks and the extra pav at 20 bucks. But when its 1 in the night and all u need is food achija is the right place.

Worst food now

My goodness!...what a pav bhaji....a mess! Full on Red in color is fine, but the spiciness, oh God! It was so spicy that with a few bites I stopped. I gave this one to someone else. Even if someone pays me to have it I shall think 100 times before have this pav bhaji.

Also charging rs 10 per pav. I get cheaper in Amar. This place has surpassed the heights of over-ratedness. AVOID!

THINK BEFORE YOU LEAP

Being an ghatkopar resident it won't justify if i don't stand with the brand name 'ACHIJA' for its service and taste...

But one thing would like to bring under notice that the hygine level maintained and actual nutrition value of the dish served, can shock you.....

The amount of high cholesterol butter, the food colour, the food preservatives used can teach you a nice lesson...

I am sure nobody would have tested these foods in lab ever but can have its chowpatti bhel its nice dish with 192 calorie and veg grill.sandwich was good too... And also checked several times quantity delivered is differed almost all the time.

I am sorry if i have hurt anyones emotions...my intentions were not to hurt any ones sentiments...

Awesome Pav Bhaji (Provided its not crowded)!

One of the best pav bhaji joints in Mumbai. The Pav Sandwich is a must-try. The hygiene level is very low and it gets worse during the rainy season. They are very generous with their use of butter so you might have to warn the waiter when you order. Worth a visit when you are in the area.

Nvr try their bhaji without the butter

Since childhood ,I have been a regular here being a gujju! A big fan of the famous pav bhaji . As i grew and became very healthy (plump) , once tried to order the bhaji without the extra butter topping.Believe me i was shocked that the bhaji dint taste lik THE Achija Bhaji!! Pls avoid it for the sake of its taste!! Have their kadak pav!! toasted to the perfection of gujju taste along with the bhaji..crispy n tasty!
Also tried their chinese , dosas and their over priced dahi puri..but must say its heavenly!!! Loads and loads of dahi in it... I guess these guys must hv a contract with the AMUL company directly to the qty they use daily basis ;)
Have been to their mulund outlet as well. They have more dosa varieties @ mulund!!

Awesome fast food

Have been going to this place since childhood. Very nice fast food. Known mostly for its pav bhaji. But personally like all the items on its menu. Gets very crowded on weekend. One of the few places which is open daily even at 1 am. Also gets a little noisy. But awesome food if you like fast food.

Accha Achija...

Achija is the first name that comes to mind when you think of pav bhaji in Ghatkopar. (Amul) butter dripping bread and spicy bhaaji just the way you like it! You order cheese pav bhaji and you get a generous amount of grated cheese over it. They do have a variety of other fast-food items, but it is famous for its yummilicious pav bhaji. Other try-on's are special pizza, grilled sandwich and tawa pulav. However, try avoiding the south Indian dishes. They even offer chinese items, but they are strictly okay!

Its a regular fast-food joint which is crowded always. You won't find much of a decor here. Its more like accommodating as many people at one go. Its noisy too, but with your pav bhaji plate in front of you, you hardly care!

Pav Bhaji

I think everytime i am in the city and have this urge to eat pav bhaji, i choose from the following 2 places. This or sardars, Sardars is a different story, so will come to that later. Achija being closer to home, is more easily accessible. The pav bhaji is yummm. Have also tried one of their grill sandwiches - quite good. But for me achija is only for pav bhaji.

Good but bit overhyped

The only thing good here is the Pav-Bhaji & fruit juices. the remaining menu is mediorcre. but worth trying the pav-bhaji...which can be bit over buttery. all in all..good..but still over hyped

Great fast food..keep an eye on the rates, guys!!

This is one place that is just famous for its pav bhaji, and everything else that is termed Indian fast food tastes great. The chutneys for he chaat are just delicious! If you pass by this place, the aroma of the pav bhaji is guaranteed to tempt you. They also have a south indian and chinese menu. South indian is good in taste, but the chinese is just OK.

The place is open past midnight and is always always busy. I can bet that hardly anyone goes unsatisfied. The reason may be the combination of good taste, good ingredients, generous portions (including butter, so leave your dieting behind when you enter) and efficient service. The food served is fresh and is served quickly. The home delivery is within a reasonable time but i can't say it is fast.

Recently, though, the rates have been on a steady rise. While its good that they have chosen to up the rates rather than lower the quality of their offerings, 50 bucks for a Dahi Batata Puri is still high!

BEst Pav bhaji

Undoubtedly the best pav bhaji i've ever had, but ofcourse its too packed most of the evenings which makes it a bit boring..
Anyways, you need to work hard in Mumbai even to have tasty food.. ;)

the paanwala nearby is also recommended..

Share:

2nd Best Pav Bhaji in Mumbai

Except the chinese food which is really bad...all other food here is good. The dosas are average. The pulav is good.
But what is really great here is the pav bhaji. The bhaji is made out of fresh crisp vegetables cooked in spicy fresh masala & loads of butter & has a tangy red colour to it.
The pav is generously roasted in butter & is soft & delicate.
The Fruit juices too are good But if u go to achija den do so for their superb pav bhaji. & yeah by the way the best pav bhaji i have eaten is at M M Mithaiwala at malad west

Share:

Fantastic :)

From Pani Puri to Paav Bhaji ... each & every item is worth trying ... ever green restaurant ... Just put one request to add less butter in anything that you order ... :)

The best Pav Bhaji EVER!

Honestly, Achija serves the best Pav Bhaji ever anywhere. Go for the spicy one - really addictive bhaji sprinked with the chatpata onions. Can't get enough of uber soft and soaked in butter pavs either.

Also highly recommend the garlic cheese roll.

The South Indian is fresh and the grilled sanwiches are nice and cheesy.

And its fairly inexpensive.

Good food good service.
I LOVE the paav bhaji and the tawa pulav.

Oh and you should try their blossoms (milkshakes) !

If ever feel the food is not as good as your previous visit, all you have to do is politely tell the waiter and he'll quietly replace the food for you!! :)

One of my fav joints!

Share:

Juice??

Ahh.. .what a waste if you stop for some juice... I don't think there'd be anybody who can miss that all-inviting smell of freshly cooked Pav Bhaji here...

Ghatkopar sure has the best fast-food joints (read Stalls)... but Achija is by far the best for Pav Bhaji or Tawa Pulao...

But ...but... but... if you're amongst those who would jump out of the chair with the mere sight of butter or ghee, avoid this place... I love it simply because of the greasy pav-bhaji... one of the best in town!

Don't forget to wish the owner (tall bald man... spotted in the evenings)... he's polite... and shall surely remember if you had visited earlier (more than 200 visitors a day... and he can still recollect each!!)
