In the wake of the recent judgement passed by the Supreme Court of India, regarding the restaurants serving alcohol within 500 metres of the highway, we'd suggest that you call the restaurants to ensure whether they serve alcohol before you visit. Thank you.
Due to the roll out of GST from 1st July 2017, prices as listed in the menu at restaurants may be subject to change. We request you to check with the restaurant for any change before dining out or ordering in.
A not so popular Indian cuisine restaurant situated in Colaba. You might almost miss it as it hasn't got its due as have many other places in Colaba. However, the service is friendly and the food is quite good. They have quite a few unique items on their menu such as Corn Cocktail Pizza, Cheese Kaju Roll in appetizers. In the main course - one must try the Sizzling Kebab Platter, the Stuffed Parathas, the Crispy Lamb and Seafood Dumplings. Do end the meal with their famous Litchi ice cream.
Mood for the food....Confused about it's identity?
Reportedly, this place started as a Moghlai food joint (the name) We went there with an expectation of getting some fabulous Moghlai food. To our dismay, the captain told us that they now specialise in Oriental food. Then why didn't they change the decor?? It is subtle & comforting but doesn't speak... If it did, like Tamnak Thai or Kamling or Ling's Pavilion, it'd have been better. I think Alibaba is confused about it's image. But then walking out of it was not possible so we ordered Tikka's, Tandoors, Biryanis (chicken & prawn) The fish tikka had hair in it so it was promptly replaced. No complaints. Tandoor chicken was good, fleshy & tasty when we ate. Biryanis were not so good. We carried some Tandoori chicken home too. For the next 2 days we had upset stomach This is a shortest matter-of-fact narration I could keep without prejudice. Whoever plans to visit may do so after checking out.
