I had been hearing this quite a lot over the past couple of months in terms of VFM north Indian food, so decided to order one saturday, there were just two of us & we rarely order non vegetarian home, ordered a full vegetarian meal.
Paneer Palak nice with chunks of soft melting paneer, the gravy should have been a bit thicker. Dum Aloo The best of the lot, thick gravy with sufficient dum in it. Pindi Channa kabuli chana with bits of paneer and aloo, ok taste and maybe Ive not tasted enough of them, but would definitely not categorize this as Punjabi/north Indian, tasted like a mix of Marwari+Gujarati trying it out for the first time.
The paranthas were piping hot laccha & the hari mirch were the best followed by the ajwain.
The cucumber raita was nice, not sour, but needed a dash of extra mint/masala to give a bit of zest.
My eyes had lit up when reading Chole rice and had ordered that along with veg pulao. The chole & rice came separately chole were the same as chana without the paneer & aloo. The veg pulao/biryani had beans/carrot/peas which were practically uncooked and did not work for us.
Whilst, the service was quick, some of the food was good, the rest barely passed muster. And if the non vegetarian is supposed to be better, maybe I may try it out, but for home delivery, vegetarian, sorry, not again.
