Ashmick's Snack Shack Reviews

Lovely Parsi Food place in Pali Naka

Its common knowledge that best of the Parsi food is available in South Bombay. This is a pleasant aberration to that norm.

They serve amazingly good Salli Boti - without Jardaloo. Ashmick said that a lot of people do not really like the sweetness because of Jardaloo. That is adjusting to people's taste. For me , it is as good as any other Salli Boti in Bombay

The Laganu Custard is sublime as well.

If you are in Pali Naka and if you are someone who is not fussed about the ambiance , then i highly recommend that you try out this place. You will be pleasantly surprised :)

Just a shack, no snack

Read the times food guide and expected parsi kinda food here but was a big disappointment and not worth at all... not a comfortable seating either... in fact there is hardly any place!!

nice little corner

Snack Shack is a relief in Pali Naka from the Indian and South East Asian cuisine invaders. Unfortunately only open for lunch this place packs a punch. The Parsee food for vegetarians is close to authentic and the non vegetarian food is good i hear. Daily menus change which is good. The ambience is nothing to die for because of the lack of space, but you'll forget that once you start eating.

amazing frankies

This place is one of those snack shop legends. Mostly a younger crowd, but definitely bearable for the amazing frankies here. All other snacks, including burgers (no, not the beef ones) are excellent as well. There is a fairly decent parsi menu, but that is not what I go here for. Not that I mind the college crowd, but this place is better with some fun company or for takeout - going here for a one-on-one is not advisable.
