Come hungry. Go stuffed!
Barbeque Nation - The place that has all the abilities to make a glutton of me. I went for a dinner here, and since it was a planned dinner with friends, I skipped lunch, had an absolutely light snack and landed in the world of awesomeness. The food is marvelous. The place has great ambiance and the servers are also polite and helpful
Eat till you drop!
I had been to BBq nation this Diwali and I was deeply disappointed by their service and quality of food. There was a grills around the world festival and I was very much excited to check out the new dishes but there was nothing new in the platter.
• The waiters were not attendant
• The tangdi kabab being served on the table was cold and moreover one of the starters was not served to us, we mentioned them about it and then it was brought but it was cold again
• There was shortage of soup bowls, when the bowls were given, there was no soup in the pot
• The main course being served was not hot as well
• The salad counter did not have salads
• And to top it all the manager was not aware of (rather not interested in) anything happening inside
• To make us feel comfortable they served soup on table only so late that we finished with our main course
• The desert counter as well did not have anything new (The only signature dish: Gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream was good to cherish)
• The rates have been increased to 940 pp, but it just does not pay you well in return
BBQ nation was always one of my favourites, but with this kind of experience especially during Diwali, I would not even like to recommend it to any one. And specifically with competition coming up in Vashi the restaurant should be more prepared and have a lot more to offer.
Had a Fun time
As part of our weekly Food exploration, this week we selected Barbeque nation and I have all good things about this place. They have the African festival going on these days which contribute to great ambiance. They place the oven on your table and let you barbeque your kababs. I love all of them especially pineapple, Even the main course food was awsone. Must visit place for kabab lovers
I been to their Delhi and Hyderabad branch hence I wanted to try their food in Navi Mumbai. Barbeque nation surely a meat eaters paradise, with a continuous flow of barbecued meats. Close to the coast, this outlet offers delectable sea food as well. Semi cooked food is served, with patrons grilling the food at the table itself.
The barbecued snacks (unlimited of course!) are followed by a fantastic buffet. There is great variety in food and desserts. The crab curry in particular was excellent. It little expensive, but if you love food this is one of the best places.
Rude Service and Booking process.
Finally made it there and found out they don't serve Barbecue but Tandoori food.
Non of there dishes have Barbecue style cooking. They use curd which is basic marinade for Tandoori Food.
Quality of spread was good but let down as they advt as BBQ Nation.
Well this place is DELIGHT for any non veg lover (specially sea food). Having unlimited servings for everything definitely help in satiating your hunger ( literally) :P
Even the veg spread is excellent. Paneer is always very soft and delicious. Prawns are mind blowing. ironically this particular barbeque nation has a great tasting main course as well. Crabs are very nice, and deserts are also pretty good. All in all if you have a nice diet and love eating, this is THE place to visit ( again and again)!
If you like barbeque this is a place to visit.....
Located at Palm Beach road Nerul, Barbeque Nation is a must visit, variety of delicious barbeques to relish on but it doesn't end there they serve a wide spread of delicious main course followed by deserts, decent ambiance, good service a little bit expensive but worth the price....a worthwhile experience....strongly recommended....
Great place for an office party
we had our clients visiting from US and didn't know where to go in a short notice one of my friend suggested this place. The place or rather i should say the ambiance is too good...the service given by the staff was good...we had ordered for cake as well which was the chef's special one and we enjoyed it to the core...The barbecue is worth every penny but you must know the trick to barbecue your veggies/meat otherwise all you might end up with a charcoal :P
A great meal: A must visit place
I visited BBQ Nerul on my birthday. The experience was awesome as the food quality was awesome. they have also provided cake for us and sing a beautiful song. However this place is good for Non- veg lovers as the variety in Non veg is quite ample. on the other hand for vegetarians the choices were very limited.
Great Food However Billed Incorrectly For Drinks
We went for a corporate party yesterday and the food was awesome as always. Been to Barbeque nation many times and relished the starters every single time. However was surprised that they had billed us for 4 drinks extra. When we got this to their notice, they said that correcting the mistake will take a very long time and they asked us if they in turn could get us the 4 drinks instead of correcting the bill. We said we are full and refused. However the corrected bill appeared in the next 5 minutes immediately. Not sure if this was deliberate or coincidental as the waiter did not argue with us for incorrect billing and went immediately to correct it. My recommendation is for patrons to check the bill post lunch/dinner.
Irrespective of this fact definitely it remains one of the best places for a get together with family / friends. The desserts are also awesome.
Been here for dinner n i advice you all pls go in with an empty stomach.. the starters here are delicious.. u get anything u would lyk on the barbeque.. chicken, fish, mutton, prawns, etc etc... The feel that this place has is worth experiencing at least once.. the starters are so tasty that u cant stop eating and than there's no place in the stomach for main course. there's a flag on the table that u need to turn to indicate u do not need more starters. Main course is great with biryani, rotis n other gravy items.. the Crab masala they serve is yummy... n finally cms the deserts.. thats the thng i mostly wait for... the variety they provide in deserts is whoa....!!! u jus cant stp eating...loved the place.. will surely go here again..
Just Came Back from lunch May 26 2012
I went to this place first time. To begin with I called the restaurant which cordially did not except my reservation as it was full but the manager was kind enough to convince me to come and have a wait not more than 10 mins.
Finally, I reached along with a buddy and we were ecstatic with the service and the quality of food. I eat light at lunch and this place stuffed me. Wish I could be anorexic to get the excess out :)
Great place, awesome staff, amazing manager. I was shocked he called me while driving back to get my feedback. I strongly recommend this place
Amazing place to hang out...
To start with, this place serves you unlimited starters + main course + desserts.
We had been here for the first time and the kind of hospitality served flattered us.
When we told them it was our first time, they explained us everything right from how starters would be served on a grill which we could have it till we have had enough of it and then there was self-serve / buffet main course and desserts.
The starters were too good with a variety of options to choose from: pineapple, paneer tikka, mushroom, and vegetables under veg. starters and chicken, basa fish, mutton, prawns under non-veg starters. All of us being seafood fans relished on the basa fish and prawns. They were really good and fresh. The service was prompt, with all of them happily serving us with unlimited starters asking us what would we like to have every time before putting our requested food on the grill.
At one moment, we finally decided that there won't be enough space in our stomach to taste the main course and so conveyed the same. The grill was taken off and we went for the main course. We had two options for soup: one veg. & one non-veg. The main course was also extensive with shahi paneer & bhindi fry in veg. and crab, meat, chicken and fish curries in the non-veg. Then there were Hakka noodles, veg. manchurian, fish in schezwan sauce, fried rice and chicken dum biryani, which was just amazing.
The desserts consisted of phirni, vanilla & strawberry ice cream and chocolate pastries. Overall, the desserts was the weakest section with less choices, but it didn't matter because we were already full with the amazing starters and main course.
Add to that, we were also served a full caramel-topped cake with 'Welcome to BBQ Nation' written over it. We loved the gesture and definitely won our hearts.
With 650 rs. per person for non-veg (as we came before 7.30 pm. After 7.30 pm, the rate is 750 rs.), I must say the experience was amazing and definitely worth every penny of what we paid.
On the downside, we only felt the lack of a drink within the price we pay. Ofcourse, we can purchase it by paying extra. Also, there were limited options in the desserts.
All in all, an amazing place to hang around with your family or friends. The place is always bustling with activity and is perfectly located at 5 mins. from Vashi on Palm beach road. Definitely worth visiting, and yes, don't forget to book your table in advance.
Lively and friendly
A grill-at-table for the starters and buffet for main course. Rates are ~700/head for non veg and ~600 for veg. It includes starters, main course and desserts. Alcohol additional. You are allotted a table and a tiny grill is plopped down in a custom designed table and the starters start flowing in. The waiters are young, energetic and polite. If you think you have had enough, you can ask them to stop the starters and take the grill away. Then you can go to the buffet line up for main course, pick up what you like and come back to your table and eat in peace. Same with the desserts. After everything's done, a review slip will be handed to you. You pay the bill (i.e the per head amount and any extra charges for alcohol etc) and leave. And yes, they do NOT accept tips. They will make sure you take any extra amount back home with you.
Ambience - 4/5 (located at nerul palm beach junction offering a pretty decent view)
Service - 4.5/5 (extremely polite staff and prompt service)
Pricing - 3.5/5 (a tad overpriced for my liking considering the limited variety of main course)
Food - 4/5 (desserts were strictly OK)
Went there on a saturday afternoon .. Nice service , the place is bustling with activity..Food is absolutely good.. The do it yourself grill is lot of fun ! If you dont stop eating , you'll get full by the starters itself..It keeps coming until u ask them to stop!! Main course also has variety of options..Loved the noodles and fish in schezwan sauce.. And it isn't too much on the pocket as well.. Totally value for money !!
I heard about this place for quite some time, till me and my friend decided to go check it out one night.. The barbecues are bloody brilliant.. I can say they are the best I've had, in India.. The food is very well worth the money we pay.. The best part is that they provide a pretty good ambiance, and an excellent service.. We felt obligated to tip the waiter [something I've never really felt before, but still do it], because of the service he provided.. But he actually ran behind us and gave us the money back.. Any way.. If you're REALLY hungry, and you want to eat till you're ready to burst, then this is definitely the place for you.. But the only downside is not much of desserts to choose from.. But after eating your fill, that's hardly something to complain about..
Its a multicusine resturant, prices are moderate, the food which they sevre is good if you are spending money its worth. The service staff is friendly and quick. The decor is also nice. I had Chicken Dum Biryani it was yum!!!!!!!!! and in desert i had Mexican Pie which was not upto the mark. The worst thing was that the number which they have provided was busy all the time.
But over all this palce is a nice because they provide good food with a quiet ambience, which i think everybody will prefer. And i would love to visit this place again.....!!!!!!!!!
Infinite stars for the star restaurant
Barbeque Nation is the King of restaurants, a place of good memories. If i were to describe in one word the best thing about BBQN it would be service, smart intuitive staff who get your needs before you put them out, the kind of people that they hire are their biggest asset. Coming to the food, starters are OMG Good, they are off the charts, main course has improved over time but still needs more work, desserts are the strugglers in this land of plenty of smiles....
Overall Rating 9/10
Decor 8/10(seating could be more comfy)
Food 9/10 (Seafood festival was awesome, taking up the ratings)
desserts.. umm not that good!
this bbq outlet has a long way to go! i love bbq nation .. i have been @ all 3 outlets in mumbai... hehe .. what i dont like so much is their dessert(5/10).. umm i mentioned this to their manager.. he went like thats cuz they make der desserts @ der outlet whereas other outlets do not.. sounds like a farce.. hehe
der starters were very good (9/10).. main menu was alright pretty standard for bbq actually(7/10)... ambience is very good ... (8/10)
Heaven for Non-veggies and dessert lovers
the place is heaven for all those who love non-veg food, the fish and prawns are fresh and delicious and the best thing is that they customize the spices in the kababs and other starters as per your wish.
for veggies mashed potatoes and mushrooms are good.
and when it comes to dessert, then everything they served in dessert is finger licking good.
A place worth the money they charge. But the only problem with the place is that the lights are too bright it should be little dim and the music should be there.
In totality, an awesome experience.
Would love to visit it again and again in future!

Review from a pregnant woman !!
I am a pregnant woman about to deliver any time now and I can happily say that I devoured some awesome food last night. Had to wait for an hour for a table on a weekday but was worth the wait, did try going to the place a month ago, couldnt manage to get a table.
Coming to the food, the kebabs were mind boggling. the chicken kebabs melted in the mouth, the mutton seekh kebabs were full of flavor. Also tried the veg kebab which was by far the best. The paneer was average. I dont eat sea food however my husband loved the prawns.
Was too full after trying the kebabs, did try the butter chicken and mutton biryani though. The succulent pieces of mutton just melted in my mouth, lacked a bit of flavor though. Cant complain about the desserts, the angoori gulab jamun, phirni, pastries and ice cream...........will remember this meal for a long time.
Not to forget the service, considering the place was packed, I would rate the service a 5, very courteous staff. It is these kind of places that want you to go back for more !! Navi Mumbai really needed a place like this.
I noticed this outlet while driving along the Palm Beach Road on last Saturday (30th July); couldn't resist the temptation. The waiter was kind enough to find us a place for three despite a huge crowd. The starter was great especially the chicken ones. Mutton & Fish was average. The vegetarian kebabs were awsome - i especially liked the preparation with potato and paneer. Pineapple roast is better be avoidable. The rest of the meal was in the form of a buffet - some good non-veg dishes, salads, desserts and most importantly FIRNI. For thos who are new to BBQ nation, there is a grill placed on your table and you can roast the kebab upto your desired level. It is slightly pricey : Rs 600 per adult and Rs 280 per child + 4% service charge.
Overall comment: Must try for the non-vegetarian food lovers of Navi Mumbai and please go with a hungry somach!!
Its a miracle how you fall in love with the place and then poof! it opens in your locality...I think since I have visited the place in Khar,I have been raving about this place to whoever I meet....I guess thats the best reward I can get..one branch opening in my vicinity...no more travelling to Khar or Thane for my favourite places...
