Epic place for Chicken Biryani Lovers
Visited this restaurant more than 10 times. The 'Chicken Tikka Biryani' is just mouth watering... In starters, the Pahadi Kabab is also very delicious. I've no idea about the Veg food and the sea food but for Chicken lovers, the both dishes that I've mentioned are really awesome. I have also tried Chicken Tikka Biryani of Jaffer Bhai's Delhi Darbar, Grant Road, Mumbai but my personal opinion is BBC is tasty than JBDD, Seriously!
Damn Chicken Biryani.
Were at office on sundae so for lunch, decided to have biryani from BBC.
At first i requested for Delivery but they say its not possible then went for Pick up
Biryani was nothing much more than a fried yellow rice with chicken pieces.
No credentials of biryani were there. Does not have words to describe how
much useless it is. Although chicken were very good and marinated very well
but for four pieces of chicken and some fried Rs.170 is such a waste.
Will not ever go for this restaurant again , its just hype of its brand name.
BBC has now expanded in multiple locations ,but in doing so they have lost the charm of their small roadside eatery on Chandavarkar lane, borivali west. The Shimpoli branch in Borivali west has good ambience ,but their quality has undoubtedly taken a plummet. With prices on par with other Moghlai restraunts ,BBC doesn't hold a candle in comparison with Jaafer Bhai or Kareems. However their Goregeon branch is comparatively better ,so go there if you must.
As per the name goes, this joint serves excellent biryani. The dum ghost biryani is too good to resist with a perfect blend of indian spices, which adds to the excellent aroma. The ambiance is just average and looking at the space they have, could be modified to make it more attractive. But if you are looking for some excellent moghlai stuff, do visit this place.
Diminishing Quality of Biryani
I agree with timmygutha. I have been a regular eater of BBC Biryani and Butter Chicken since BBC was a small outlet near Chandavarkar Road, Borivali Station. The taste of BBC Biryani those days was so much yummier and also the quantity was much better with compared to price. I have visited their new place near Chickoo Wadi many times... but did not get the same feeling... Hope they do something to get back their originality.
No Standard, Horrible Biryani
This is not to demean BBC in any way, But The quality and the standard has gone Down Drastically . I dunno what went wrong- must be the change in chef for sure.
What it was few years ago and what it is now is a HUGE difference.
HAd the biryani which just tasted like yellow coloured steamed rice mixed in some thick chicken masala thrown in it.
Even the Curry that we had just dint have taste. It was a like a plain Tomato base with some spices and boiled chicken. The oonly thing that i liked was the Malai chicken, which is why i am giving it a at least TWO stars .
HOPE this place Improves and Stops Disappointing People like this
Awful service, Awful food
One of the worst north indian food ever had. Looking at so many people outside everytime, we decided to try this place...and trust me the food is from hell....atleast for the vegeterians. The service is poor and food is not worth the charge. I am sure, there are lot of better restaurents in this area.
Decent Hangout for non veg goers
Yesterday me and my friend decided to hangout at this place, seeing such a short menu we were surprised but the food i.e. tangdi kebab , mutton and chicken biryani which we ordered were finger licking good. Also the quantity was huge, and moreover it was in budget. We loved the place !
AVOID!!! Have packaged water instead
The place sucks...The quality has gone from good which was 5 years back to bad..AVOID at all costs...even the home delivery is equally bad ...wrong order reaches you and extremely stale food...
the rude staff and awful food was a one of a kind..but i have been proved wrong time and again...
PS: there shouldve been a rating of i would RATHER DIE THEN EAT HERE
Slipping - No more what they used to be
Went to BBC for Lunch yesterday, happened to be in the vicinity, been a few times to their Orlem outlet, was really good. Decided to take my wife to lunch, was a disappointment, The Kheema Pattice was anything but pattice, it was more like a hybrid between spring roll, and croquete, over fried and hard. Mutton Biryani, the fried onions were burnt, but not bad, the flavours were right, but not a single decent piece of mutton, I think they should call it mutton scrap biryani, cuts that cannot be used anywhere else ,were used here, the prices have been revised to irrational levels. definitely a no no, I think it is the same problem as other chains, too many outlets with no management skills. Hope they realize this and improve, customers today do not have a lot of patience..
AWFUL.. A STRICT NO NO
NON AUTHENTIC FOOD, NO QUALITY WHATSOEVER, NAMED MOGLAI DISHES JUST FOR THE SAKE OF IT, EVERYTHING TASTES THE SAME LIKE PUNJABI DISHES IN AN UDUPI HOTEL, TOO MUCH ARTIFICAL FLAVORS AND COLORS USED, UNHEALTHY AND YOU WILL END UP HAVING AN UPSET TUMMY.... AWFUL FOOD.... PEOPLE WHO DO NOT FREQUENTLY GO TO RESTAURANTS MAY LIKE IT, BUT FOR BIRYANI LOVERS THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BE...... A STRICT NO NO FOR MOGHLAI AND BIRYANI LOVERS.......
Short menu, Good food
- my experiences here have been good as well as bad
- one thing i learnt from these experiences is that order dishes for which they are known ... obviously one would say that for it to be a good restaurant every dish has to be good ... but BURRP has certified it as just best biryani center
- you get good quantity in reasonable price ... a meal for 2 would start from 250rs onwards
- you get good NON VEG biryanis(except fish biryani), chicken cutlet(my personal favourite), chicken tandoori, moghlai dishes with paratha
- now my order is the same at every visit
Rotten Prawn biryani
We went to this place for sunday lunch. Didn't try the starters went digging into the biryani. First we tried the fish biryani. it really had no salt in it. chicken & mutton was fine. But the worst was the prawn biryani. it had stale prawns in it. it smelled horrible. When we asked the staff to taste it they said they do not eat prawns but argued that it was fresh. Anyways we spoiled our childs b'day by going to this place
BEEN TO THE PLACE FOR SUNDAY LUNCH WHAT A PATHETIC SERVICE THEY HAVE .........WE ORDERED KABABS WHICH WERE VERY HARD THAT WE WONT BE ABLE TO EAT THEM.... WE ASKED THEM TO CHANGE IT BUT THERE WAS ONE TO LISTEN......EVEN THE BIRYANI THEY SERVED DOESN'T TASTE WELL.........AS PER THE NAME OF THIS PLACE NOTHING IS SO GOOD THAT I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT IT AGAIN AND RECOMMEND MY FRIENDS TO GO THERE.....
Don't ask for Home delivery
First thing first, the food is good not bad, the mutton biriyani and the paaya soup are the best of it. But dont order it from the comfort of your house i.e home delivery. Yesterday I ordered for 5 biriyanis at 9:00 pm, the guy who took the order told that it will be dilivered in 30 mins. I dont know BBC defination for 30 min, I got he order dilivered at 11:00 pm.
This is the second time this has happened . So if you have to order please don't... or you may die of hunger.
went der with my reltives..... v wer in a hurry so didnt try d starters, digged directly 4 d biryani(mutton biryani)...n omg...it ws delicious!!. ma relatives tried chicken biryani n even de didnt find a reason 2 complain.... must must must try 4 u guys....while i try find a reason 2 head der bac again!//
Went to BBC Borivali last week after high recommendations from collegues. But to my utter disappointment in my view this place is too much hyped. For a place with speciality in Biryani's I expected atleast 10 or 12 types of biryani's(Including the traditional one's). There are only 5 types of Biryani and remaining normal food. Also when I asked for Tikka Boneless Biryani in the name of tikka i got only 3 pieces not properly cooked also.
Would definately not recommend BBC Borivali, next review will be of BBC Malad heard good thing about this one.
Shifted from original address
This place really rocks with all kinds of variety in chicken & mutton. This place has recently shifted to a new address on the Link Road, Near chikoowadi, Borivali West. This new place is a huge restaurant with a clean and hygienic ambiance. I have been eating the biryani since its inception and never ever recall anything which i never liked...a must have....
