Good but can be better
The ambiance is very nice, typical English style. Love the quotes and signs put up on walls. Very HRCesque.. food is good and place is just buzzing on weekend nites.. have been here couple of times and one of the sought places in the malad goregaon area..
So I went to meet my friend here the other day, who is a child in the body of a grown adult. His idea of a night out was to go bowling and play the car video games in the arcade while SOBER. No wonder he has an underage looking girlfriend, clever young minx though. But I digress. Naturally I kept excusing myself in order to regain my composure, and the British Brewing Company was where I sought and found solace.
I had been there a couple of months ago and they didn't have a liquor license yet at the time and I prayed to God that they did now, and the old bastard in the sky delivered.
It's a fancy retro rock ambiance. The menus are on tablet touchscreens, which become rather redundant after getting sufficiently drunk.
The service was fantastic. Very friendly bartenders and staff.
By the 3rd time I came back I said enough of beer (pricey Kingfisher pints, no draught the only negative) and switched to shots. Damn, do they make a mean blue kamikaze...
Tapas were good too.
Give it a shot when in the area, it is pretty good for Thane. Might just be the best bar in Thane.
There are barstools but the crowd seemed reserved and too engrossed with themselves to join in conversation.
I visited here with a couple of friends .. Its a nice place to chill .. Sadly in a mall.. We ordered for a burger which was quite delicious.. Mediterranean pizza was amazing..just how I like it..green thai curry..quite spicy than what I have tried else where but brilliant taste..wine n ice tea n beer to go with these things we ordered..ambeince is warm n nice..feel good factor..
In a barren land filled with regular dine-ins, British Brewing Company comes as a respite to the locality starved of good watering holes. While Goregaon East is known for a couple of malls, endless forest land, a dairy colony, film city, random factories and a lot of residential complexes, good ol' restros, bars and pubs are some places that it has hardly seen. Then when the makers decided to bring in BBC to Oberoi Mall, they attempted at a feat to make it survive the harshness this area has to offer. Boy did they achieve it.
In a bright, open, white-walled mall, tucked away in a corner of the 3rd floor, we see an old style English bar with the specials and alcohol chalk-marked on small blackboards outside. We went on the day of a cricket match final so it was packed. Fortunately one table was vacant and we occupied. The interiors make you forget where exactly you are in the city. The crowd, the walls, the posters, the keg-laden ceiling and the central long bar takes you to one of the old downtown bars. Every table is given an iPad where we can directly place our order. The servers only come to confirm the order. Service was amazing from the word go. We had a very friendly and very helpful waitress by the name Sarita. With whatever we wanted to order, she gave her valuable inputs and if we wanted any changes, she would oblige without creating a fuss. One of my friends got a Peach Iced Tea which was make extremely concentrated at first. He asked her to modify and get it. It was extremely diluted. He asked her to rectify it or get something else. She got a Lemon Iced Tea which, again, was extremely concentrated. She apologized several times and said she'll get something even better. Then came a drink which had Peach Iced Tea, Apple and Orange. It was perfect. We asked for one of the chicken pizzas to be made veg. She readily took our suggestions and spoke to the chef to comply with them, all this while being cool and patient with us. Customer service has been demonstrated as one of the best I've seen in a stand-alone bar in the city. The food was also very good. The Japanese Chicken was decently crunchy. The regulars such as garlic bread, nachos and fries were good. The Chef's special Veg pizza was excellent. The Basil Pesto Pizza modified by us from Chicken to Veggies was good, though not as good as the previous pizza. The cocktails were also made well.
Overall the place is a bit high on pricing and not too VFM. But definitely the best watering hole in this area and for the residents of the area especially. You could very well visit the place after watching a movie in the adjoining PVR or after an evening of shopping in the mall.
If you are not tech savvy you may take a little time or you may ask for help . The pub is set on a brewery theme with casks , a collection of beer bottles and apt quotations which...seating arrangements inside barrels was something my son loved the most.. the staff is very efficient and helpful while placing orders. the i-pad trend is great for placing your order...we had the Chipotle Chicken Pizza...thin crust and great flavours..the side dressing chilli garlic in olive...
It's pretty cool!
You know how you always want to try something new every time you feel like going out, and the only place that did top this inkling for me was the British Brewing Company, I happen to accidentally stumble upon it at Oberoi Mall and it was needless to say cool from very start.
- They use iPads to take/place orders (a first in thsi city for me)
- The service is super friendly. The manager was courteous enough to show up a bunch of time to ask about the food and if we were having fun or not.
- Food is good. Not grand, but certainly good tasting. We ordered peanut masala with our beers (good selection), but it came out too lemony and was changed without a second question. We also ordered cottage cheese sizzlers (yum!!), arrabita pasta (very passable) and a cottage cheese starter (forgot the name, but again there was nothing much to remember about it)
- the ambiance is fun!!! really!! try and get one of their cozy barrel corner seats if u want something interesting.
-I expected a lengthier beer menu, but I will not hold that against them.
-Can be too crowed on weekends. We rubbed shoulder with too many ppl at one point.
Verdict: It's fun - the place, its people and the ambient feel, and I will be visiting again.
First time experience with Absinthe
Awesome lounge environment that has great service, drinks and food. Would definitely not hesitate to go back again.
I had the Absinthe shot, which was hard & amazing since I had it there for the first time. Haven't felt so good about ordering a drink in a long time!
My companions had the Gin Gin Mule and a flaming cocktail which were both fantastic.
The server was great and had a smile. She warned us that the flaming cocktail was really strong, which I thought was really professional.
The bar bites we had there, the Sloppy Duck and Chicken Satay, were also surprisingly delicious
You cant miss it !!
Had been here on the Christmas eve with my besties, the music, ambience and the feel of the place was just perfect for bringing in the Christmas. The beer lovers would not want to leave this place. I rate a ten on ten to this place and recommend to all those beer lovers out there!!
Occasional splurge place
BBC is one of those places that'll draw you in,with their decor. Stand outside, you'll see wooden boards, proudly displaying the name, a board displaying the beers for each day,a nice beer barrel.
Gaze in through those windows, and you'll see football jersey's,empty beer bottles,a couple of beer barrel booths, the works!
Coming to the food & drinks, first thing you'll notice, the iPads as the menu. The app is indeed very nice, with all the details you'd find on a normal menu, plus you can very well order using the same.
Now,the food.Go in for the Non-Veg platter, wherein you can order any 3 starters from the list.My pick of the lot was grilled lamb chops.Perfect meat, great sauce and perfect companion for the cold beer! The sauce tastes good with the accompanying mashed potato as well
Coming to the beers, always check the beer of the day.Might just end up sipping the one you wanted, for cheap :D
Nice ambiance, nice posters on the walls, and a couple screens showing football matches.Love those empty beer bottles on display.
One thing which I really wanna do is sit in those beer barrel booths.Oh well, someday!
A bit on the expensive side, but worth a visit, say once in a couple of months, especially on a football night.
PS : Be prepared to wait atleast 45mins on a weekend.
Less option for vegetarians
With the interiors you are really tempted to visit this place atleast once.
Family can also visit this place. The only thing i dint like is they have really less option for vegetarians. Seating arrangement is very good. Beer loving people do visit this place.
Great ambience & Great service & Good food
BBC as its called, is a great place to have dinner with friends. The decor is woody, american with lots of one liners & logo frames adorning the walls - coupled with interesting seating arrangements inside barrels ( in line with brewing ). Bar is in the center with active barmen and all necessary paraphernelia. music is a mix of classics, retro, hip hop and chart buster, not too loud, just perfect to buffer the banter on the neighbouring tables. The menu card is your order guy , service is offered to serve food & clear thats all and its bloody good. Waiting time is just 15 mins , order anything. Above all this of course are the TV screens which add the sportiness to this place as they show sports mostly.
Coming to the food - I have tried almost every single pizza be it veg or non veg & they are consistently delicious. Thin , crisp, balanced & generously sized. A Pizza can easily suffice 3. Starters - every thing except the cigars and rolls is great! Soup , I just love thier Mushroom soup, yum. Burgers look great but havent tried , chicken lollypop is heavenly. In the main course one must try Singapore noodles , lip smacking, pasta is good too!. Being a brewing company they have a wide selection of beers - go for it. All in all a place that wont disappoint you at all & infact you would want to come to again and again due to the many things they offer apart from just good food.
Great Bar, Good Music, Average Food
BBC as you enter is a welcoming place with little pictures reminding of UK and wooden panels remind of a local pub there. Staffs are well mannered and are eager to usher you. The way menu was presented was impressive and efficient. It did not require the waiter to wait the table unnecessarily while you decide. However the choices on the menu for a teetotaler is not exciting, they have all the usual a combination of continental and Indian dishes. I however tried quick bites from their menu, Nachos and Singapore Noodles. I have had them better tasting food elsewhere. So food is completely average and overpriced for the quality & quantity.
However it is quite different for people who drink, they have good Beer options and other alcohol and music is good and not overbearing. One can have good time with friends without minding the food. As pointed out by one of the Burrp members, they do charge you a 10% of service charge. Mind it while paying the bill.
A good, extensive selection of beers, very friendly staff, good ambiance and decent food options. They play great music, mostly rock, something most places have stopped now. Expensive but one of my favourites in the Western suburbs, mostly for the music.Absolute must visit if you're around Malad Goregaon. Must try the veg platter if you are a vegetarian.
Great ambience. Have been there twice. The food out there is good but by the time it comes to the table its all cold. So basically the staff is quite slow. You should try the pizzas out there. Taking the order on ipads and barrels seating adds on to the jazz of the place. Its actually fun to grab a drink and enjoy some matches out here.
Had been there last Friday with friends. It was packed full house in the evening... & wee bit noisy. But I suppose weekends are meant for that. Wooden interiors, one wall adorned with empty alcohol bottle, one foosball table at the smoking cabin door... The stewards are very warm & affectionate. We ordered lots of booze & food.. but since I don't drink, I will straight away come to food. I had ordered spaghetti araibiata with chicken & one chicken salad with Dijon mustard dressing. The spaghetti was delicious. I didn't miss the cheese at all. It was yum to the core. I had asked the chef to make it without cheese & he gave me what I wanted. The salad was cold & fresh. But I would prefer the spaghetti over the salad anytime. Thank you BBC for awesome time.
Indecent behavior of Manager
I have been there here many times and reason was decent club with decent atmosphere.
I love to have few drinks over there but recent incident will make me think twice to go there again.
I and my friend placed order for drinks. Service was good. Bartender also were well behaved.
But final bill came to us, we refused to pay service charge (It is completely different from service tax). because we as per government rule, we are not bound to pay it. It is purely depend on us whether we like to pay or not.
I asked manager to deduct that amount but suddenly that manager (I don't know his name) started argument with us and threaten to push us out side of bar. He threatened us many times as we wont be allowed next time.
Manager behavior was extremely disgusting and disappointed. The way he was behaving, It was like I made a mistake by asking my right to refuse to pay access amount.
My sincere request to you all, if you are planning to go there, you definitely go but please beware of billing part and make your own decision before paying it.
Best pub this side of town
I first went to British Brewing Company, when it had just opened. Going by the name I thought it to be a microbrewery and was a bit disappointed to know that it was just a pub. We, however, had an enjoyable experience there and have returned many times since.
The ambiance there is good and the barrel shaped booths look interesting. The drinks are well made. As far as food is concerned, we have only tried the starters and pizzas; having pizzas there is recommended....they are good and flavorful with a crisp base.
The place is usually crowded owing to the fact that it is the best pub in the locality and 'coz its easily accessible from the Western Highway making it extremely convenient for friends from different parts of the city to assemble.
Pretty good, though a bit expensive!
After hearing about it quiet a lot, I was eager to try BBC and let me say it was worth a visit.
The place is reasonably big, nice ambiance, with a variety of comfortable seating which includes round table seating inside a barrel like cubicle! Staff were friendly and courteous! +1
Its a treat giving orders on their ipad app! The menu I must say is quite extensive and has something for everyone! +1
Getting to business, what we ordered -
1 Peanut Masala - 68
1 Garlic Bread with Cheese - 105
1 Veg Biryani - 330
1 Chocolate Fantasy - 160
Except the Chocolate Fantasy dessert(pastry) which was very dry and at 160 bucks my wallet was crying for having spend it on this, everything else was quite appetizing though except the Biryani, its not easy to mess up the other two anyways. +1
Garlic Bread I felt the quantity was a bit less. Prices are definitely on the higher side.
We had a nice time overall, though one will not here just for the food but for the overall experience. +0.5
Improve the dessert BBC and the Garlic Bread fellas!
Need to get their act right !!
I've a problem, if a restaurant doesn't offer me a good seat ( if it's relatively EMPTY); I don't visit it again; this exactly happened on my first visit to BBC. Anyway, I was coaxed/ threatened by my friends to give it a try again; No this time, one of the stewards did grumble initially for the seats, but then we were 2 couples, 4 of us, I guess when they allowed us a good seat, I felt happy/ privileged ! Novelty factor is using ipads for ordering; but then u dnt visit a pub to fiddle with an ipad, do you? So with their paltry selection of beers; & without a tap or a pitcher ( I dunno how they call themselves British!!) ; we ordered beer & food. Beer was chilled on the repeat serves ( we sulked on our first round !! ) Re. food. ordered a)"Boiled Chana" 2.5/5;
b)"Chicken Satay in BBQ sauce" : 3/ 5;
c)Chicken Caeser salad , bad; chewy chicken, 1 bread crumb: rate 0/5; flagged it, they got us 5 warm chicken pieces as a "replacement" ... who cares! ...
d)fish & chips : 2/5
e)veg wrap 2/5 ; all in all, not at all a culinary delight.
Re. ambiance; decor is nice; music is non-descript, expected country/ rock & roll, disappointed , I believe they tried to have a pub feel, somewhere it has got lost due to the noise & clatter. If not the food, seriously they should improve upon the stock of beer/ tap beer & even the quality of music being dished out to patrons. The people serving us were courteous, but then that's not the only reason to visit a pub... seriously if you want some good stock of beer & food; I RECOMMEND YOU VISIT SAMMY SOSA IN ANDHERI (W).... thanks BBC but no thanks!
Goregaon East finally has a PUB... I've waited forever and ever...thats such good news.. Loved the place, the food was decent.. Management was a 2/5 but that I guess is part of the teething phase.. This place seems like its here to stay...
Thank You BBC for finally blessing us with a place you could go and unwind over a chilled chilled BEER !!! ;)
Happy Excited Customer
Oasis in desert
BBC is like a breath of fresh air in the pub starved Goregaon East. They have a good selection of beer. The food however is limited. You can try their sizzler which is the saving grace on the otherwise average menu. Music is good and ambiance lively. Good place to chill with beer in summers.
Summary - Nice Place, Good Food, Needs improvement
I have visited BBC a couple of times now and both times I felt that this place could be run in a much much better manner.
The ambience is great. The place is very well made and even plays good music. You are surely expecting to have a great time once to enter and BBC does deliver a good time to a great extent.
The place is tech-savvy as menu cards are actually iPads where you place the order. The food is good, but has scope for improvement. The Sangaria was disappointing though!!!
We were waiting at the bar while we get a table and the bar tenders were completely lost. The service did get better after we moved to the table.
I think this place has great potential to become one of the most loved places in the suburbs. Just some improvement in the service, and BBC is good to go....
Marvelous place !
Indeed this is a great place with amicable staffs and quick service with a brilliant ambiance.. BBC had become my favorite hangout place.. just for the variety of beers and skewers i relish every time...
this is a much needed pub for Goregoan residencts .. in a weeks time i had my wife's B'day party... school friends reunion.. what not... must try place...
Good and bad
The menu was varied. We tried Fish tikka, Nasi Goreng, Cottage cheese skewers and a veg burger. They all tasted good. We enjoyed the cottage cheese skewers a lot. The vegetables and rice were very well done but the cottage cheese was hard and the worst part of the dish. The burger patty tasted alright but the bread was all crumbly. I couldn't touch the burger without it falling apart.
Once, when we were handed the ipad, it wasn't associated with our table so we had to call the waiter anyway.
None of the desserts on the menu were available. Not good, considering it was a Friday afternoon.
The couches are awkward. If you bend forward even a little bit, the back lifts off the floor.
I don't know if I'll return. If I do, it will be for the cottage cheese skewers.

Thank you. We appreciate the feedback as it helps us improve our food and service. Do come back.
Had come here to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary, and had a wonderful time! We choose to sit at the baat counter as none of the tables we preferred we empty, and surprisingly it turned out to be a good decision! The bar stools are nice and comfortable, the staff is attentive and the iPad menu is a nice novelty factor. The beer was super chilled and the cocktails my wife ordered was perfect! The smoking booth is a boon! They have a dart board for some fun and we had an awesome time playing darts after getting drunk, lolz! We had a vegetarian pizza which was just about ok.
I would surely recommend this place for a nice good time!
PS. 1. Avoid the titbits as the quantity and quality isn't good.
2. This place isn't cheap, though it's money well spent! I ended up with damages of around 3.5k for two, though it included A LOT of beers and cocktails!

Thank you for the encouragement and feedback. It has been noted and is being acted upon.
Great British Feel
Great Food, Great Service, Great Music...though could be louder. Their Ipad Menu was interesting & effective as once you have ordered - another server double checks the order with you. Ethnic British Brewing ambiance with the barrels. The Smoking Chamber was nice. The Mushroom Soup was spectacular par excellence, The Cheese Seekh Kababs were the best I ever had. Service was prompt, Smiling, attentive. Lovely place for a lazy relaxed Luncheon.

Blasting Brilliant Cracking
The place Oberoi mall deserved as well as needed. I am too happy to have a decent place to go to nearby and it is well laid out as well. Good seating, good ambiance, good setting and good food. Although, the Britishness in the BBC is still missing. More brit food would do along with some brew mix.
I hope over a period of time they will become a better place.

Good, but a lot of room for improvement.
The ambiance is very nice, typical English style. Love the quotes and signs put up on walls. The staff is very nice. Few recommendations, they need to increase their 'British Menu', get things like shepherds pie on the list. Going by the name we had expected to get some freshly brewed beer, but they sadly had none. They need to get things that make them stand out.
