I am a resident of the society just behind this hotel...I have visited this place 5 times since 1994 (June).
Food has surely improved over time and now they have got excellent staff which is courteous and also very helpful in identification of their specialities...Its recommended to hear them and go as per their suggestions.
Veggies can surely try the Veg Hyderabadi, Veg Platter (starter) and also the Paneer Makhani...Non Veggies should try the Chicken Pahadi Kebab and the Butter Chicken.
A bit expensive but good to visit...the ambience isn't that great.
We were going to this restaurant after a few years. it has been extended. But despite that we had to wait a good twenty minutes before we could get a table. My husband ordered a Bloody mary and it was bad. My son liked his beer. the mocktail that i ordered - pavilion punch, i think it was called - was terribly sweet, even after i got the waiter to rectify it. In the end i added some water to finish it. My daughter ordered a cream of tomato soup and it was perfect. The starter was a Chinese veg platter. It was good but not hot when it reached our table. Then there was this shole kabab that my son ordered. He and my husband relished it. For main course we ordered a Bendi subzi that was very average. The waiter recommended a Hyderabadi subzi which was excellent. The roomali rotis were not cooked very well. The jeera rice was very good. We ended with a hazelnut ice cream that was good. The bill was quite big too. Was the food and service worth it? That's why only 3 stars.
