Must visit

I had visited this place with a clique of friends and we had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves ! It's a good place with a soothing ambience and the pool side lighting is really soft and nice! It gives a feel of eating in the middle of the sea or a river. The starters are really something to savour upon. We had ordered paneer tikka , cheese balls and kebabs for starters followed by red / white sauce pasta , thin crust pizza and risotto in the main course .The food and the service was much above average. This place is worth a visit!

Awesome Club

We got couple membership for an attractive rate which includes swimming as well. This is the only place in Bandra with so less rate and still maintain a great quality. The pool is damn clean which tempts me to take a dip. Above pool they have sky bar which is one of its kind in Bandra. Definitely worth a visit

Stay away from this place

I took the membership of this place as there are not many pools in the vicinity. While the two trainers are fantastic, they are the only reason why people still come to the pool. There is nothing called management here and hence, do not expect anyone to respond to your questions about why there is no water, no lights in the shower area, why the pool is so dirty, why there are broken pieces of glass in the pool etc etc.....the staff does not seem to be paid on regular basis and that could be the reason why no one seems to be responsible for anything. I have seen the area where they have their kitchen and if you were to see that, you will not have a glass of water here. These guys are just taking money from people and have no intention of running the place as a professional outfit.

Horrid Experience

Don’t even try the Sunday Brunch! - The Management over booked the place. No proper covering around the pool area, during the rains, all the tables and chairs were wet. The only place was the indoor dining area, which has just 2 tables and can hardly accommodate anyone. Where do they expect people to sit and dine? The 2 managers were absolutely useless, misguided my friends during the booking. There was total chaos, food fell short and was not replenished. Absolute day light robbery for the price they charge.

Worst Experience Ever

It was a worst experience of my life till date.. First of all its always difficult to find the manager in the whole building and staff don't respond unless their manager doesn't ask them to do.
Fuck all services and food..I had a party out there where i dint enjoyed as i was busy finding manager and doing his work in the whole party.
I don't understand how such people gets job who don't even respect women.
I would never ever go back there n would advice everyone else to please don't go n spoil your mood out there.

Really disappointing

I went to C'est la vie for a Sunday brunch, and it was just bad. Let me explain :

- It should have begun at 11am, and the food was finally ready 2 hours later, at 1...
- It wasn't even tasty apart from the starters (Chicken, Veg Pizza, fish,...).
- After two glasses, there didn't have orange juice anymore.
- Waiters were apathique, I wanted to shake them up every time I saw them. WAKE UP GUYS.

It's true that 1200Rs is not expensive for a brunch, but I'd rather pay more and have something decent !

So I unfortunately don't recommand it. Don't bring your date here if you want a continuation...

(But if you don't want a continuation, THAT'S definitely the place).

Cest La Vie: Celebration of Life

I frequent this place often and there is something which keeps on bringing me back to this place again and again.

The only place that i know of with a multitude of facilities available in house. They a gym, spa, salon, banquet spaces and my favorite the Cocoa Cafe. An array of dishes available, sit back and relax.

Friendly staff.

Cheers to all!

Food galore

Had dined at the exotic Vie Lounge at Juhu and then came here to to check out their New cafe Cocoa at Cest La Vie in the heart of Bandra.
The food was delicious and the staff quite friendly which makes you feel good.
Had a swim at Cest La Vie and though they don't have a heated pool.. the atmosphere overall made me grasp for more. Lovely.

Horrible experience, unprofessional staff...

I had planned a surprise sun-down pool party for my husband at the pool side lounge at C'est La Vie. I had exclusively booked the entire terrace lounge space, pool included.

Turns out, on the day of the party, when my guests had already started arriving, I was told that due to some miscommunication within the C'est La Vie Management, they would need to use the pool for an Aqua Zumba class and that I could start my party an hour late!!! With friends already arriving and my husband on his way, I told the Managers that they would have to find an alternate solution and that it was impossible to change the party timing at that point. To my dismay, none of the Managers seemed to care. To make things worst, I was told by the Manager in charge that as an exception the Zumba trainer has agreed to allow my guests to join today's class. How bizzare!!! It was almost 6 pm, my guests had been there since 4:45 pm and the so-called Managers wanted them to join Zumba class. Panicking, I called my husband and informed him of the situation.

After he and a few close friends arrived, they tried to reason with the Managers who continued to be disinterested. Only once they started shouting, one of the Manager finally agreed to at least 'try his best' to end the Zumba class by 6:30.

Meanwhile to add to our disgust, the staff at the venue had not been informed that the place had been reserved for a private party and some of my guests had been asked to pay up for the water and beer consumed.

By 6:45 pm the Zumba dancers left our party and after some more shouting & screaming we managed to have the staff return the money they had taken from guests for beverages, which were already part of the set party menu. The surprise was ruined. And we finally managed to start our party at 7 pm.

C'est La Vie should be called C'est La Crap

We were getting ready for a Sunday BRUNCH experience, but were instead greeted by a sad line-up of a few cheffing dishes and some cold salad and bread, with an equally measely small table of desserts in this abandoned buffet area which was a pathetic waste of 1200 rupees. Its a fraud, calling a pool buffet a Sunday brunch, and having paid at the counter we couldnt even get our money back. I suggest you check out the facility before you pay, and if you are looking for good food, go elsewhere. Shocking to know this is associated with the Vie Lounge group, because the standards of quality and customer service are poles apart.

Bakwas

I was duped to be a member of this place and have been a few times - and the insider story is that it's really not worth the money or your time. The "Manager" Raj is a big talker but go look at the dirty pool, the dirty changing areas, the indifferent receptionists, the undertrained amateurish off the street staff, the "parking" in the rotting garbage area, and the overall I-couldn't-care-less attitude pervasive here. Ask for a free experience before joining - and go unannounced one of the mornings and you'll be saved a lot of trouble.
See the reviews of all those who ate here- and if the general hygiene on display is any indication, I'd avoid it like the plague.

Sunday Brunch

I was at the Sunday Brunch last week. I really enjoyed the experience. I thought the food was lovely and being able to swim in Bombay is always a bonus. I thought the pool was really nice. The feeling of being out of the city like a little hide away. This was my first time and i will for sure go back again. Oh and the staff was great. But we opted for the none alcoholic brunch so we had no issues. over all i would say it was a great experience.

Worst Brunch of my Life Maybe?

I have had a very many brunches at places all over the city, but never one as bad as my experience with C'est La Vie.

To begin with, we reached at around 11 30 and headed straight to their USP, the poolside restaurant. Upon our arrival, we found the place was pathetically dirty! I mean there was fungus and moss EVERYWHERE. They have glass floors on the deck over the pool and one could see lime and dark green fungus creeping across all the crevices between the glass panels. The floors were dirty and unclean and while the pool was overseen for floating garbage, there were still pigeon feathers strewn all across the pool. Their website makes it sound like an exclusive club for high flying socialites and powers that be in the business world, sadly, even a local akhada would give better services for a fraction of the price. There were no attendants in the men's changing room area and there was only a single toilet.

Coming to the food and service. When we asked the waiter to bring us a few cocktails, he came back saying there were none at the bar. The manager (who was ambling around) came over to see what the matter was, indignantly informed us that "Cocktails are not a part of the alcoholic package, but I can bring them to you al-la carte and charge you for it". I requested him that I'm paying for the alcohol as it is and all he would need are some mint sprigs, lemon and sugar (I wanted a mojito), but he was adamat! He wanted to charge me the full price for a shot of liquor when I had already paid for it. He then tried to befuddle me by saying he can give me a cocktail called "Cuba Libre" which is simply rum and coke!!!! He didn't know I was aware of this and when I took him up on if he was trying to make an ass out of me, he responded saying he was trying to drive home a point!

When I asked the bartender if it is such a stretch of imagination that I would think cocktails would be included in an "Alcoholic Package" and which is why most people would pay good money to come here he tried to justify the establishment by saying "this is why we don't mention it in the advertisements". In my opinion, this is tantamount to cheating and duping your patrons!

Even the alcohol in question was bottom-shelf at best. Now although I don't expect Grey Goose, Jack Daniels, Black Label and Beefeater, the only alcohol available was McDowell's No. 1, Bacardi White (the best of the lot), Arctic Vodka and some other shite brands. KF Premium and Blue are the only two beers (not even Draught, Bud or Corona) and Dindoshi wine!

The food was pathetic to say the least. In the non-veg starters, the "chicken balls" were stale and smelt of old meat ground and re-served, the chilly chicken was handcart-ish at best. For the veg, the Paneer was old and over-browned. What I could assume was Jalepeno Poppers was Shimla Mirch stuffed with processed cheese. The potato wedges and hummus were the only passable item in the entire buffet. The sauce accompanying the wedges was cheesy and well flavoured. But that was all. For the main course, the food was served cold. I saw with my own eyes, the server bring the meat and gravy seperately (which could only mean they were cooked separately). The bread was stale and so was the fish (it had the fishy smell not found in fresh catch).

It seems to me that they try to cut corners at every given turn to make money off the only thing that would set them apart, the pool.

I would suggest a multitude of much much better places for a nice brunch although sans the pool. Vong Wong has an amazing spread with more cocktails than one can enjoy in an afternoon at a splendid rate. Olive is a little more expensive, but the standards of food and drinks are quite high (the bartenders are really nice and let you try small tasters of their newer concoctions for free). KOH has an Oriental menu with fresh ingredients (I had an incident since I'm allergic to prawns, but the management was more than apologetic for it and even sent their staff to pick up medicines. It's the small things that count even if the event doesn't go well). The Table, again a little pricey, has excellent food and drinks.

Even if a pool is what you are looking for, Hotel Sea Princess and Novotel have both stepped up their game off late and really give you a bang for their buck!

Who I can only assume was the over-all manager of the joint came by to see us later to check if everything was "okay" but didn't really pay any attention to what we had to say. He was walking back with a swagger shouting "You HAVE to come again".

I think never would still be too soon.

Place is nice but Mediocre Sunday Brunch

I went last sunday for Sunday brunch for one of my friend's bday party and had a nice time but for the food. The place has a good ambiance, music was nice too, the pool is big and one can swim as part of the brunch package but the food was a major letdown!!!! Due to the mediocre taste and spread i have given them 2 stars less and one star less for the service omission as mentioned below.Only if they improve on the food spread will i go back there for brunch since it was pricey affair in the first place.

There was a major shocking omission by the service guys while serving us starters. We were a group of 20-25pax and most were veggies or jains. few folks like me were hardcore nveg. My friend had taken the non alcoholic package via snapedeal site which gave us 3 veg and 3 nveg starters , veg and nveg main course and 3 desserts as per the website.

I had recommended my friend to take the deal via the website when he inquired about the Sunday brunch with me. I had seen the fine print of the offer about the nveg starters. But we were not served nveg starters!!!!! I asked the stewart about the same and he said non alcoholic package would have veg starters and mocktails only. No nveg starters. I dint question the guy much since it wasnt my party but he gave me a plate of chicken and fish starter later. This was fine but management kindly make your staff aware about the spread. Because of this small error you guys end up harming your goodwill since you guys have a great place.

Coming to the food:

The paneer tikka was ok with the paneer a bit undercooked. the jalapeno poppers was rubbish. There was no cheese in it and it was made wrong. The crispy potato was the saving grace along with the chilly cheese toast/bruschetta/focassio bread starter.

The nonveg of which i had the chicken on skewers was nice and the fried fish was nice too. But again i dint get the 3rd starter as were were not served any officially.

The main course was again so so. the chicken gravy was nice but the fish curry looked too oily. The veg mains were mediocre with no paneer dish which was really shocking. The salads again were like complimentary stuff with not much on offer. The veg pasta in white sauce was too thick and the veg thai curry could do with a little bit more flavour.

The desserts were ok with choc brownie and vanilla ice cream combo yum. Dint have the pink mouse based dessert. An indian dessert should be added to the menu.

Overall i suggest one can certainly drop in if you can bear with the food spread.

The Best Place for Pool Party

The dislike which I had developed for pool parties due to my previous experiences was completely whipped off to bits when I partied last night with my amigos at C’est La Vie. This place is so damn cool that I am finding it hard to describe the gem of a time we had there. Ambience, music, food, drinks and like everything was au fait. The thing that impressed me of the lot was the clear, blue and spacious pool which I have not found anywhere else. All I’d say is great going guys… I’ll be there soon for sure.

A Sensational Meeting

As a CEO of a company, I wasn’t too sure about the idea of meeting with my clients at this place, but when I took the decision to give it a go, it turned out to be my best one so far! I never thought that C’est La Vie’s corporate zone Mont Blanc is so well equipped. I mean it had everything which is required for a meeting, be it audio visual telecommunication technology, to the seating arrangements, everything was up to the mark. My clients were really very impressed by this place and by me, all thanks to C’est La Vie.

Sunday Brunch Place

I would recommend this place for late Sunday Brunch. The food was great; well served unlike those boring buffets. The staff was polite and attentive. The seats by the pool are the best but being summers we choose to sit in an air conditioned segment also facing the pool. Make sure you make reservations for those seats as there are only few. Rs. 850/- for brunch and Rs.1,200/- for brunch with alcohol....well worth it!

Super Place.. great for parties!

The place has been fully redone and from what i hear there is a complete change in management.. I went here for a party and the place has been done brilliantly!! nice soft undertones along with wood gives the place a very classy touch.. plan to celebrate my daughters birtday here.. the poolside on the terrace is great for Sunday brunches which is held weekly and I must recommend eone to try it.. Ame Spa on the top floor still needs to be tested out but it looked pretty good from what I saw.. had recommended to my boss who is from France and he is planning to become a member as it has a swimming pool, gym and a spa right in the heart of Bandra!!

C'est La Vie

Im a former member of the Bay City Club. Cest la vie is just a change of name basically the club still belongs to the same owner. Its just a tactic by these people whereby they are not entertaining old members and they just want to collect subsciption from new members. I would advise all those who want to join the cest la vie club to stay away as from the inception daffodil, baycity, oysterbay these people are just changing names and making more and more members and finally not giving them the membership in the new club.
