Never really been to this place, as its like one of those simple places with plastic chairs and tables, but have ordered for food like a million times. If you want to eat authentic Punjabi food, this is the place you can rely on. Haven't tried anything from the Vegetarian section of their Menu except for their 'Chole-Bhature' Combo Meal. You can choose to have your Chole with Puris, Bhaturas, a variety of Kulchas or Parathas, just for a 110 Bucks! Their Chicken Gravies are simply delicious. My personal favourite has always been their Chicken Lajawab. Other than that their Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken(slightly sweeter than usual) are good options too. Another good thing about them is that they are willing to turn all their chicken gravies 'boneless' for extra 20 Bucks, which comes as a boon for people like me who absolutely hate the bones getting in the way of eating tasty food. I always order for their Makai Roti and Onion Kulcha to go with my Chicken.
Also, if you are a diehard Kebab fan, you would be glad you visited this place. All of their kebabs are luscious, juicy and full of flavour, not to mention perfectly charred. Opt for their Reshmi Kebab, Pahadi Kebab or Garlic Kebab and you won't be disappointed. The Kebabs come with a spicy-tangy Mint & Coriander Chutney and a Fresh Cabbage-Carrot-Onion Salad as accompaniments.
Downtown Dhaba also includes Sarso Da Saag in their Menu during winters, which sadly not many places serve. And even though they serve Chinese, please make sure never to order it, as I feel it would be an insult to their specialty cuisine. Also, who knows what it might taste like?
