great place in every respect!

A restaurant with a great ambience, extremely helpful staff and awesome food! It's a great place for Chinese cuisine.. ambiance is so cool and setting is so nice that one just looks around in wonder. The Buffet spread are all around the place with a huge sushi counter and then there are so many starters and dimsums and then in main course there are noodles, pulav, dal, paneer dishes and best is that in dessert we had ice creams that too of Baskin Robbins! Unlimited icecream alone makes it the best buffet place ever.

Sumptuous Meal

The best and the most sumptuous & elaborate buffet. This place is surely a paradise for any non vegetarian with an elaborate spread of Asian cuisines. There are various counters which include a sushi and cold food spread, a live appetiser counter etc. Brilliant ambience, quite spacious, well built and good and comfy. Its a cheaper version of seven kitchens if you like sushi and a good spread of appetizers and desserts this place is worth visiting

Best Fusion dishes ever

The place is huge, ambiance is classy and food is delicious. Lots of variety is available for veggies, sea-food lovers and other carnivore. You will be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of variety offered be it the Starters, Main Course or Desserts The place is highly pricey but the experience truly justifies the price. A live kitchen is centrally located in the restaurant where you could see the Chefs prepare a variety of Sushis. I loved the concept where they have each starter displayed at the counter with their placards in close proximity.

Prices keep climbing

Used to visit their Bandra branch years back but since then their prices have kept going skyward with no equivalent improvement in the format or the quality of food. Actually it's been slipping at this Andheri branch. But have to say a word for the ambience. Very spacious, well laid out and the huge fishes in the aquarium are always a sight. Starter variety I have noticed have been reducing and the main course is nothing much to write about. With Barbeque Nation & Sigree following the same concept they cannot afford to be this lax.

Could be much much more...

Have been to this joint thrice now and each time it seems it has been slipping. It’s a better place to eat for Non veggie as the spread is bigger. Also , frankly its not really global and I would say that its mostly pan Asian kind of cuisine . To list down what you would get :- Amazing variety of Sushi completely with kikoman soy & wasabi paste;great variety of Chinese authentic starters ; good variety of indian starters .However there isn’t any continental or Italian cuisine here and you wont be getting an pizza/pasta/burger/sizzler/Au gratin or baked stuff here. Frankly it thus makes the word Global fusion sounds a misnomer. But for me the biggest let down was the main course. Just a few score feet away from this place the barbeque nation serves a better main course by a long margin. Also the main course in Global fusion is largely Indian with a few stirred fried veggies or thai curry thrown in – again very limiting Asian fare.I also found the paneer dishes and the dal to be very very ordinary- frankly it seemed that they had almost put the main course as an afterthought. Iced tea & soft drinks and some soups are a part of the overall buffet menu. The desserts are strictly ok and are not really what you would jump out for. The biggest draw of the place is the lovely ambience and the huge 20 off feet aquarium on the side . For around 900 bucks ( taxes inclusive) on a weekend night I reall would visit it may not more than once a year

Good, Bad & Ugly

The place was on my list for a while & when a special occasion came up, i decided to go there. Firstly they don't do anything special for Birthdays or Anniversaries, which i found very surprising. Now coming to the place - it has a very good ambiance with huge fish tanks & exotic fishes, which are very appealing. The food looked amazing, now only if it tasted half as good as it looked! As their concept works, we have to choose the dishes & hand over the respective papers to the nearest server. There is no server designated to your table. Almost everything is self service & yet there is a 10% service charge! Most of the time we received dishes which we didn't select, which was kind of disappointing. The drinks were included & unlimited (choose from soft drinks/ lemon ice tea/ fresh lime soda). The sushi was highly ok , the seafood starters (barring the garlic fish preparation) & the chicken dishes were really sad. The veg starters were marginally better. The main course was equally disappointing. The dessert section was probably the best of all, nice selection of Baskin ice creams & some assorted pastries. All of this at Rs 1000 per person for dinner was certainly not worth the money.

Global Fusion...Fusion of Good & Bad...

The place itself is quite nice, caters to big families with ton of children. Also has some private seating areas. Ambiance is ok. Now to the food. Speaking purely in terms of the Dinner Buffet they have to offer. The Lamb Chops were amazing. However the Sushi and other Pan Asian Cuisine wasn't that impressive in taste, however it was well-presented. The desert counter can do with a huge step-up and avoid serving tacky looking pastries and the Mango Shots which were a disaster. The place has potential as long as they dial up like a 100 notches the quality and taste of the food being served.

Awesome Place

This is an awesome place came up in Andheri East. Beautiful Ambiance & large variety of food. The only disadvantage is for people who are pure vegeterians. The ambiance is smelling with the Non-veg food which a pure vegeterian is not able to sit in. It would be great if the restaurant can work on this part.

I would visit this place again for their food

Paradise for meat lovers!

This place had been on my list for a very long time, and it surely didn't disappoint!! I'll get right to the food.
I was so happy to see so much non-veg on offer, not only in terms of preparation, but the meat itself! The Lamb chops were absolutely brilliant .. Meat cooked to perfection, topped off with a great sauce .. Just couldn't resist licking the sauce off my fingers!Momos were good too,the covering just perfect .. Meat again cooked to perfection .. Sadly, couldn't find any dips to accompany them.
Tempura and chicken wings were a bit disappointing .. Bit too oily for my liking, have had better before.Had a nice salad, with octopus meat .. Meat tasted good!Sushi were again, brilliant .. And the kick from wasabi was spot on!For dessert,I don't know how many times I went back for a pieces of Tiramisu pastry .. Bitter coffee, sweet cream, combined in a single bite a perfect burst of flavour!Overall, had one of my best meat dining experiences! :)PS : Ambiance was great too!

East Asian food fest

I curse myself for not trying this place before; its a real feast - and non-vegetarians would love it. Although its called Global Fusion, it would like to see more from the West - Pastas, Salads, Steaks, alike.. But all that was there was heaven. I still remember the Mango-drinking-yoghurt like thing, the Baskin Robbins ice-cream and bunch of other dessert. The starters were served at the table without any hesitation, including exotic stuff like prawns. If you are a foodie, you must try this!

Awesome place to try something new

Been here last month, as a birthday treat to my friends. I been a vegetarian and my friends been a non vegetarians,, can review both the options. To start with,, this place should be visited strictly by the people who wants to try Japanese, I tried sushi for the first time,, i liked only one that was corn cream one, i tried dumplings,, again out of many,, i liked one. out of many starters,, panner options were good, so was garlic bread. my friends complained of chicken starter been too hard and fish been stale. Things i liked: The ice tea, the ambiance, quick service(even when d restaurant was full for lunch on a weekday), vegetable starters, Main course didnt had much options and anyways we were full by just tasting starters. Desserts were decent,, nothing extreme special in it. I would rate this place 3/5

Unique and memorable experience...

Had been to this place... When I entered the Global Fusion.. Was surprised to see the set up and arrangement.. Also with the way they arrange starters n all.. Well this is know for Japanese and other fusion food.. Not sure about Non-veg food as I am vegetarian.. Have many eating options in Starters, Main course, Japanese food including Sushi.. Desserts.. Lovely experience. Well if I tell u about starters.. Never seen the arrangement in any other Restaurant.. They have put many Veg and Non-veg starters in display for selection.. You need to choose and reserve it for you... They will cook it fresh and serve on your table... You can have all starters and n number of time, as it's all buffet.... So starters will be served hot and right in your plate as per your preferences.. Well soup, salads and fruits are also cool.. The unique food is variety of Japanese food... Specialty if sushi.... I never had it earlier.. Quality of main course is good.. Paneer used for preparation is very fresh and soft... Well in desserts.. They have many variety of pastries and mousse.... Also have 2 to 3 BR ice creams... Even Jelly was nice. Must visit place but look little bit expensive.. Cost for 2 including taxes would be Rs. 1800.... But Quality is maintained..

Not upto the level......

Well they have nice ambiance no doubt but still if they are opening the second restaurant they should maintain the same level as the first one. I always had lunch in bandra global fusion and was completely satisfied but this this I thought to experience the andheri one and got dissatisfied.
Few thing need to be improved. Waiters should serve fast and take care of all the tables. When the new customers are coming they should explains them what all are included and what not. (I always went there On Sunday brunch where they also give one alcoholic drink complimentary where as this time I went on Saturday and when I ordered they didn't tell if its included or not) The buffet Items are lesser than the bandra one. In dessert the icecream they had of only three flavor chocolate, mango and banana strawberry. Common you cannot compromise in everything. In bandra they have 10 different flavour. I believe if I need to come to global fusion again I will visit the bandra rather than andheri. Coz of all the above reason ambiance, service, food items.

Mmuuaahh Food!

Global Fusion is one of a kind! Its known basically for its Sushi's but the other dishes are also superb ! Its an exquisite restaurant! Its also worth the money! And the portion is so tummy filling that you will feel stuffed right after eating the starters! The sushi is a must try because its a total different flavor in your mouth! But please try the sushi at your own risk, not that its bad or something but many people have fallen sick after trying it! I tried the sushi and I am still alive so I guess it suits me! The people at Global Fusion have done an excellent job of providing a huge spread of food and different cuisines from all around the world! A few drawbacks! The desert is not very appealing! Sometimes the napkins and knife's are not there on your table so you need to ask for it! The good part about such a huge place is that there are about 50+ tables and the ambiance is so good and open that even when 100 people are dining at the same time it won't look crowded at all! Hats off to the staff and the Chefs of Global Fusion!

Nice place to dine with family & frnds

With a strong recommendation from my foodie frnds, me along with my wife n few close buddies went to Global Fusion on a weekend. The ambiance was amazing which was the 1st nice impression.. The restaurant is spread out huge with more than 50 tables so at any point of time you will not feel as too many people are stuffed in.. We all are veggies so compared to any other place we had good options from a standard paneer to kebabs to dumplings to mushrooms and the list went on...... The main course was also yummie followed by some nice dessert.. SO overall out of 5 i would rate it 4 and if you are a food lover (be that veg or non veg) you will definitely enjoy this place.. (and yes its not that expensive as it looks) :D

Awesome Place For A Wonderful Occassion

It had been some time since I had taken my wife out to a place much different from the usual suspects. Occasion was our Wedding Anniversary so wanted it to be extra special. Chose Global Fusion based on the reviews. Was worried that being a Monday night, may not have too many people so we may feel isolated and alone. Guess what - when we walk in at 10.20 pm, the place is close to 75% occupied. Lovely grand ambiance, nice tables with private area for families as well. Food & Service is great. the Spread & Choice of food is wide, wider ... Being a Monday, didn't have non-veg but I am surely coming back to enjoy them some day. My wife loved the place and the food as well. Only complaints - Main course (we tried Veg only) was not great but with so many starters, not sure how many will reach the main course spread. Desserts are disappointing, not much variety.. Would love to come back with extended family very soon. Ambiance - 4/5 ; Location 3/5 ; VFM 4/5 ; Food Spread 5/5 Food Delivery 3.5/5 Overall 4.5/5

The Reigning Champ Of Buffets

Although new, the Global Fusion in Sakinaka beats its Bandra counterpart without a doubt. With a massive interior, which is used up very tastefully and beautifully, this restaurant is a treat for your eyes as well as your taste buds. With fish pools by the door and a magnificent flower horn by the entrance, the place has a very 'pan asian' feel to it. This, coupled with strategic placements of plants and fish tanks, makes quite an impression. Coming down to the food, there are about 30 different varieties of dishes here. (a little less for the veggies though.) My favorites were the baked prawns with cheese, baked eggs, baked fish, tenderloin and dumpling soup to name a few, although there were a lot more. The main course was even better, although I was pretty full by the time I decided to have the main course. Nevertheless, I tried it out for taste. The Mutton Biryani, fish curry and Calcutta Crabs were fantastic and I found myself overeating again. Oh yes, and there was Sushi too! The desserts were amazing too. There were pastries of different kinds and ice cream from Baskin Robins. Overall, Global Fusion was a brilliant experience, always has been. A dinner for two will cost you about 2000 - 2500 INR (without alcohol), depending on the day and time you choose to go.Although a little heavy on the pocket, it is a place I'll go to again and again.

Better & Bigger

I was thrilled to know about the new branch of Global Fusion at Andheri....but when I heard Sakinaka, I had second thoughts.. However, I must say that this outlet was much more bigger & widespread than Bandra. The prices are lower than bandra and the quality & ambiance is excellent. However, one observation about the food is that most of the dishes had more sweetness to them...eg; the prawns dish in the main course seemed to be much sweeter and beyond a point I could not consume it..the quantity & quality of the iceberg chicken was also a disappointment...but the others like the prawn tempura, dumplings etc...was exceptionally good...all in all nice place.
