Must Visit For All South Indian Food Lovers
Ram Ashraya is one restaurant that we visited every single day during our junior college times. Made me nostalgic when I went here yesterday. If you are somebody who just concentrates on the food, then you will love Ram Ashraya. It just believes in serving you good food; no frills and fancies.
You must try their Rava Dosa - crispy and has just the right amount of chillies and juicy raisins! I always order Onion Uttapa in whichever restaurant I go to, but Ram Ashraya's Onion Uttapam is the best. They serve two types of chutneys - a white coconut chutney and a red coconut, red chilies & garlic chutney. Although, due to the huge demand for their red chutney, it gets over by brunch time, unless you're really lucky.
Ram Ashraya has two different varieties of Sheera everyday for dessert. Till now I have tried Orange, Blackcurrant, Mango, Jack Fruit, Strawberry, Chocolate, and Chickoo; Jackfruit being my favourite.

On a lazy Saturday afternoon began our quest for Hotel Ramashraya, a walk to the hotel was quiet an exploring session. Once at the hotel, I saw people busy gorging on their eats. Finding a place we settled and ordered. When our food arrived , the table was full of fine south Indian food. Cheese dosa, Buns, Mango sheera, Kai and Rasam idli is what we had. The dosa was perfectly made with meltled cheese, crispy yet soft. The idli's were a considerable size and the consistency grainy yet soft, paired with rassam it was yummy. Buns very porous, sweet and light.; sheera had a subtle mango flavour and tiny cubes of mango adding the much needed flavour to it. It would not be right if I compare the price to the food, becasue the food is great.
Value for money
If you want authentic South Indian food especially dosas then this is the right place for you. This hotel is very famous here and popular among the college students. You may feel the service is a bit on the lower side but considering the crowd you cannot blame them as it is bound to happen. A normal hotel serving good food with justified price is now a days hard to find and Ram Ashraya has these positives.
Awesome South Indian Food
Craving for South Indian food then this is the perfect place for you. I visit this place regularly. This hotel is always crowded and waiting is always worth it. The best dishes of this hotel includes Mysore Rava Masala Dosa and Sheera. Good news is they serve unlimited chutney and sambar! This place is good to visit at any time of the day. One negative point is, you might have to share your table with strangers. Overall, I would rate it as 4.5/5.
On a Sunday morning been to ramashray only to be greeted by a couple of dozen people waiting for a seat. After nearly half n hour came our chance. This is a pure south indian restaurant and theres loads of variety here. We ordered Sunday special Coconut sewai, Buns and rasam wada which were spectacular. The buns were sweet and super hot. The coconut sewai was over for the day before 9am. We then had neer dosa which was amazingly served with 3 diff chutneys. The onion rawa sada and mysore masala dosa were very well made. The dosa's were crisp and the serving was good. We had the sweet sheera which was super soft and very sweet made of pure ghee. The ever refreshing filter coffee was great as u wud expect in a south indian hotel. The Rates were economical as well. Overall highly recommended for a delightful breakfast.
I have never been a fan of Idli's but this place has changed y opinion about them.
The Idli they serve here is mind blowing. I can never resist myself from having their Butter Idli.
After studying overnight when you start feeling hungry as the sun starts to rise you can happily close your books and go to Ramashraya for their amazing Idlis, Uttapas and Sheera! Not to forget a cup of Coffee to keep you awake till you reach home ;)
That's usually how my visits happen to Ramashraya. But irrespective of the scenario the above mentioned dishes are a treat to your taste buds.
DO NOT MISS GOING TO THIS PLACE. Wherever you stay. make sure you come here to taste it's food. Superbly south indian, it'll tickle your taste buds to no end! This palce is so different from every other. t doesnt have a menu card. It's items are written on a wall. The tastiest part is the variety of sheeras it has everyday starting from pineapple sheera to butterscotch, blackcurrant and what not! A must go!
Excellent..high on quality and taste
Very nice eatery with a basic set up,no extra frills,no menu cards,menu written on a black board,gives it an old world charm.Huge variety in southindian ,we tried the idlis (supersoft,literally melt in the mouth),onion rava masala dosa,seviyan,upma,pineapple sheera...uff it was delicious and very filling,ended it with authentic filter coffee...had to skip lunch after this hearty breakfast

The best thing served here is sheera.

It is a roadside hotel and clearly in a no-miss zone. The smell of coffee from the shop nearby literally drags you to it.
Typical south Indian style and very cheaply priced, this place is a haven for daily craves of southie food.
The pineapple sheera, Vada Sambhar and pretty much a lot of food here is on par with the best restaurants around the city. You would feel transported back to crowded peak hour chennai due to the hustle and bustle of this place. Worth every penny.
A very good place.! The food is awesome..My favourites are coffee, pineapple sheera, dosa and idlis..They all are yummy.!!The service is good. But make sure to reach early during weekends and holidays. Overall the place is too good. I make sure to drop by if I am in Matunga or nearby.
This place has a huge waiting from morning 5.30 onwards..it is the best place to have breakfast in the mornings when you want to go out of town..
It serves the best and softest idlis, yummy and crispy dosas, the balata Wadas are also tasty..the ghee idli served here is unique.

Disclaimer: I'm a meat lover who also happens to like well-made veg food. But it well better be made really well. And I don't like spicy food.
Went there with a friend and it's actually a really nice place to eat at. It's definitely not dark and dang. It's brightly lit and spacious. It's not that loud (like some hi-fi places where you can't have a decent conversation!).
Food reigns supreme here. Small portions so more to taste from. I tried the upma, two types of dosas (mysore onion sada and tuppa), two wada (rassam wada and kadi wada), butter idli, and two sheeras (pineapple and chocolate), filter kapi.
Must order (I'll be back for this): butter idli, tuppa dosa, upma, pineapple sheera, mysore sada
Give it a miss: chocolate sheera
Haven't tried; want to try: Rawa saada. Masala dosa.
As a coffee lover, Madras Cafe kapi is better, but Ramashray scores overall.

Authentic South Indian Food!
If you want to try authentic South Indian food, Ramashraya is the place to head to! It's a typical regular joint with decent enough seating area but serves the most delicious South Indian food! Cannot cannot cannot miss their blackcurrant and pineapple sheera. Try their Mysore masala dosa, Neer dosa or rawa masala all are equally yummy!
6 am breakfast
The place is always buzzing..it opens at 5:30 I guess and even at that hour people are waiting for the shutters to roll up..there's a que..softest idlis .. Fresh coconut chutney..I die on their Mysore masala dosa and onion rava sada..its the only place I like filter coffee..pineapple sheera..the word itself is atomic and so is the taste..the also have loads of other fruit sheeras some of which are equally good.. The staff is really friendly..and they cater really well..its one of the best udipi hotels
Sheera - Innovation. Also great South Ind food
This place is located just opposite to Matunga Central Railway Station. You will have to wait for a few mins to get in. The Rava Mysore Onion is so spectacular that you wont need any chutney or Sambar as accompaniment. The Filter Coffee is top notch.
One big reason why you should visit this place is to try out Sheeras. They have a new Sheera everyday. I have tasted Pineapple, Chocolate, Strawberry, Black Currant & Badam Sheeras. I have heard great things about Jackfruit Sheera as well. Also this place is extremely economical. In all, a must visit.
Authentic South Indian
Ramashraya located right outside Matunga central station is a heaven for south Indian food. There Mysore masala dosa, Neer dosa are to die for. Kadi Idli is a unique dish offered by them. Lime juice, ginger lime, lassi are some cool beverages that they offer. Their hot bournvita and filter coffee is the perfect after meal drink. Must try !!
Too Good to be Ignored!!
If you are a south Indian freak -- you just cant miss this one! It provides you with Authentic South Indian varieties and is always crowded! The service is at its best always! The come with different types of Sheera and i have tried a lot many of them and believe me its just Awesome! Its my fav snack place.
The South Indian King
After a night out on Saturday, 5 am ko Ramashraya kaa garam garam Idli Sambhar nahi khaya to kya khaya :) If you love South Indian food, then am sure you must have been here. Have you heard of Strawberry Sheera or Gauva Sheera, these are some special not missable dishes available out here. Idli Sambhar, Mysore Sada, Filter coffee and other south Indian dishes are all prepared in the traditional style. A word of caution, as with any good restaurant, just be prepared to wait for an hour at peak hours (i.e. Sunday mornings & evening). A must try!
you are close to this place when u see a crowd
if you are in matunga and you see a crowd of people waiting to get in then chances are that you are very close to Ram ashray. their idlis are something to swear by even today after so many years. i have taken parcels from them as early as 5 in the morning for picnics etc. Thankfully they still maintain the same level of service and quality standards. It is sad to see that even street stalls charge more than these udipi restaurants in Matunga
Its 5:30 am on a Sunday morning and you either partied all night/ had a stay over or are up early to head out on a long road trip and what do you do? Head to Ram Ashray for mind blowing filter coffee and steaming idlis!
Ram Ashray is located close to the Kabutarkhana at Matunga Central and is one of the dozen odd south indian eateries in our area.
Idlis, dosas, medu vadas and coffee are served with great speed, made to perfection and the staff always has a smile on their face.
Their cocunot sevai and shira are also worth a try. The value for money quotient of this joint is unbelievable and taste is top notch. Not the place to visit if you are in the mood for some privacy or comfort as you are provided neither.
You sure cannot miss to locate Ram Ashrayas for 2 reasons; its location on the corner of the main road and the serpentine queue of patrons outside this Temple of South Indian Food.
It opens at 5 am every day, when most of Mumbai is still sleeping and is crowded within minutes. Finding a place to sit here within 10 minutes for group of 4 and more people on a Sunday morning should be added as a task on MTV Roadies, such is the popularity. I would equate it to waiting in a queue outside a temple to take darshan on your favourite God.
But once you enter this temple, it is Heaven all along.
Items to be sampled here apart from the regular run-of-the mill South Indian fare of Idli / Wada / Dosa / Uttappa:
2. Pineapple Sheera [One of the BEST you would ever find. If you are not an early bird, you may not get to taste it]
3. Bissi Belle Bath [This is speciality of Karnataka. A concoction of Rice, Tur Dal, some Veggies, Tamarind paste and Spices. A cousin of the Masala Dal Khichdi but a spicy version]
4. Tomato Rice
5. Curd Rice topped with a fried fiery Red Chilli & Appalam [Rice Papad]
A special mention of the chutney which is different from the other South Indian eateries in the vicinity. It is consists of grated coconut and green chillies, topped with a just-perfect oil tempering. I have been here so many times but every time the URAD DAL pieces in the tempering have the same colour, a perfect brick red.
Down the above with a tumbler or two of Filter Coffee.
The restaurant is very clean, greeted by the lungi clad ever smiling waiters, fast service and more than Value for Money.
When you settle your bill and walk out, you cant help but mutter a silent prayer; ANNA DATA SUKHI BHAVA.
Innovative Tasty Food
After going through various reviews about Hotel Ram Ashray, we decided to visit this most famous hotel in Matunga (East) on the Gudi Padva evening.
As we went in peak hours, there was huge waiting outside this Hotel, which is situated diagonally opposite of Matunga (C.Rly) Station near Matunga Kabutarkhana Opp. Municipal Market. At the entrance, Hotel is displayed a Newspaper article about hotel on Sheera Innovation. As we were just two, so we got an opportunity to get seat within 10 min.
Ambiance: I would give 4 out of 5 as it's not posh hotel. Typical South Indian Restaurant but with ample space between two rows of seats. The space is such a huge that they arrange for additional chair to accomodate additional family member.
Menu: No Menu Card is available in the hotel & Menu is written on Black Board. But we decided to order what we learnt on internet about their speciality Mysore Masala, Dosa, Two plate Bisiballe Bhaath, Chocolate Sheera.
Food: As Mysore Masala was not available because of non-availability of bhaaji, we were served Mysore Sada Dosa apart from Two plate Bisiballe Bhaath, Chocolate Sheera. The taste was awsome. I am foodie & roam around Mumbai for best food. I had never heard or tasted a dish called Chocolate Sheera. It's just fabulous. Bisiballe Bhaat was served with fried kurdai (don't know the exact word for this), Sambar & Chatni. Quantity was good in case of Bisiballe Bhaath at Rs.26/-. I found slightly less quantity of Chocolate Sheera. But if you consider the ingrediants they must have added then Rs.33 for Chocolate Sheera is value for money at any cost. As we expected Mysore Dosa was large at Rs.41. The waiter also gave additional two Sambar plates with Chatnis, of course free of cost. (I recollected Unlimited Chatni & Smabar of Manis Restaurant near Ruia College)
Sevice: The Service given was quick as their staff realize the people waiting outside for having their delicious food. But I felt disappointed about their serving of water as the guy was inserting his figures in the class while serving water.
Overall experience: Good South Indian restaurant with nice crowd, extremely delicious food with slightly unhygine service (which can be improve at any time). So friends if you would like taste Sheera innovation, visit Hotel Ram Ashray.
Authentic Udipi Restaurant
This is taken in the same breath as Cafe Madras..almost similar sort fo a setting.
Huge wait times again to get in esp during weekends.
Hard to miss as it is on the main road and is located on the corner and generally people are standing outside for their chance to get in.
their Idli is absolutely delicious, it just melts in your mouth. Also worth trying is the mysore masala dosa and the Upma is also good.
Their sweets, esp fruit seeras are great. Made with real fruit rather than artificial colours, surely worth a bite.
It is just one of the many South Indian joints in Matunga. USP being the wide variety of Sheeras such as strawberry, banana, chocolate and butterscotch sheera. Butterscotch sheera is a must have. Also, I love their Rasam Wada and Tomato Upma. Reasonably priced and mad rush on weekends.
No one can east just one
Love this little place opposite Matunga Station (central line) Whenever I've visited here, I always walk in thinking I'm going to eat modestly and not be greedy. I always fail.
What I loved:
No fuss quick service.
A/C and non A/C section.
Fresh and piping hot food.
What I think needs work:
The place is very small and cramped, but I guess this cant change unless they extend the place or start another outlet.
What I would recommend trying:
Bisibelabath - midly spiced and full robust flavours. Crush a few fried papads and the combination is delightful.
Paniyaram - This fried savory snack is morsel sized and perfect to pop into your mouth with the smallest dab of coconut chutney.
Five stars and my vote of confidence to this one for satisfying my craving of South Indian food on more than one occasion.
Filter coffee - If you like you coffee strong and not too sweet, this is just perfect.
AUTHENTIC Udipi Restaurant in Mumbai
There's nothing left to praise about this place. Other reviewers have included everything i would have said but still i would collate it and give you a detailed review.
First of all its starting time is 5 am and yes it starts bang on stroke of 5.
Early morning breakfasts include Upma, Idli, Vada, Sheera and may be Dosa(dont know for sure coz i never had dosa here early morning).
There is no Menu system which gives you a hint of its Authenticity ;)...
One distinctive feature is they write Special items on
* Slate near the entrance, so when u r standing in the queue, probablity of which is 99/100 times, you know what you have to order today, and
* On the outside part of the Granite that hides person washing hands from those who eat which has two pros, one - the people eating food do not feel disgusted watching that person wash hands and two - people can see what r today's special items :P...
But jokes apart menu is not needed... there are those regular varieties of Dosa's and rassam vada and Bissibelle bhat and appam and idli and vada and upma and goli bhaji and curd rice... ufff
But their sell out dishes include
* NEER DOSA with Red Chutney and Sweet Grated Copra... Never had such an amazing neer dosa earlier in my life
* Flavoured Sheera's... Chocolate, Pineapple, Butterscotch, Kacchi Kairi, Black Currant, Regular... btw i have had all of them... had never heard so many flavours in sheera except for Pineapple... and never does it taste awful... it might be low on resemblance to the actual flavour but never goes horribly wrong... My personal favourite the Buttescotch flavour

Finest South Indian Restaurant
Every other day in Mumbai, opens a restaurant, that change the way people percieve food on their palate and then there are few others, which go down in history. I have been to many restaurants, who serve authentic Udipi dishes or atleast claim to do so, but today I was introduced to a place, which not only claims to serve authentic Udipi dishes, but successfully do so and in a grand manner. Hotel Ram Ashray in Central Matunga is a winner all the way!!!!
Don't be fooled, with this hole-in-the-wall restaurant, in the bustling area of Central Matunga. The serpentine queues outside, speaks volume for this place. Hotel Ram Ashray, is not your regular Udipi Restaurant, but this is an authentic Udipi joint. Dont think of going here if you are an ambiance strict person. Ram Ashray is for those, who love to hog on Dosas, Idlis and Upmas irrespective of the place. The ambiance might question your thoughts about this place, but when the aroma of the freshly made Sambar hits you, it will make you erase those thoughts instantly.
The Masala Dosa, Mysore Masala are a hit amongst the regulars, but their stand out dish, has to be the Upma. The softness of the perfectly seasoned Rawa and the flavors of masala makes you a fan at the first bite.
Its not a place to sit for hours with your peers and chat over some authentic South Indian dishes, but this place is for those, who come quick, eat quick, but let the taste of those fermented marvels, stick on their tongues until they return for it.
The 24 x7 crowds will leave you stunned. But if you wait and get in you will know the reason. I think we get the best Mysore Dosa in Mumbai. Also the sambar and chutney are unique. The service is brisk and it is totally Value for Money. The idli, wada and upama are good. And the coffee is bliss. Do try.
South Indian food at its best!
"You say u like south indian food and you haven't eaten at Ram Ashraya!!! Shame on you!" Agreed with this statement made by my friends when I went there for dinner yesterday! Seriously, shame on me!
Always full (as my friends told me), the service was quite good! Amazingly soft idlis which just melt in the the mouth, mysore masala dosa, neer dosa(served with sambar, 2 chutneys and dry coconut) dahi chawal (with nimbu ka achaar and a stuffed fried mirchi)! And filter coffee to wash all this down! Jannat!!!

Been der last year in d festive season of ganpati,it was an amazing experience..
after seeking some blessings from the must watch ganpati mandals in dat area (matunga central), i reached dis place at around 4:30 in d morning and desperately waited for d restaurant to open at five,which it indeed did xactly at five.The place got full in no time as der wer many eager foodies who wanted to munch on sumthin in d early mornin hours.the only things available at dat time wer sheera ,upma and idli and ofcourse coffee.One of d freshest and most delightful idlis i have i have ever gorged upon.The seera was so smooth and hot dat it just went down ur throat.superb.
The filter coffee out der is seriously one thing to die out for.And d best part is dat its really cheap and VFM.Really lookin forward to try out their dosas.....:)
Great Start to the Morning
Its very packed on Sunday mornings and you're packed like sardines where ever an empty spot is available. But given its bigger than the rest you get place faster. That aside the food is very good. Unfortunately there's no menu so it's tough if you want to try something different since the waiters are always on the run. I wish they would expand the menu a bit more.
Soft idlis, great Mysore Sada and Uttapams. Even the drinks - Lassi and Nimbu Pani are strangely addictive.
Super cheap, makes for a great Sunday breakfast place with the family.
Was expecting better ....
Was hoping to catch something special at this place this morning since it is Pongal. I was hoping to get some khara pongal since I dont fancy the sweet variety - was told it is not available. Nothing but the usual fare.
So the 2 of us settled in with a plate of idlis and medu vadas, progressed to a plain dosa, followed it with a mysore masala dosa and finally a plain rava dosa. Last came in the filter coffee.
The good: Mysore masala dosa, rava dosa, filter coffee and bill of Rs. 157
The bad: Medu vadas (were hard), sambar, long waiting period between dishes (their kitchen cant cope up)
The ugly: The utensils are not cleaned properly before being used again
Madras Cafe is miles ahead.
Back to Awesomeness but with small portions!
It was a trip back home, after being away from home for almost 2 years. Ramashraya was the first place to eat after getting back to Mumbai. The food was amazing as usual, but small portions and dearer to the pocket.
I ordered a single Idli and Onion Rava Mysore. Dosa was half the size they used to serve and I think 50 percent more pricey. Thank God the taste was the same. Ended up ordering another Mysore Sada dosa.
New interiors, with new upholstery on the chairs, the huge menu card on the wall has disappeared and made place for some portraits of Gods.
The Gods are on their side it seems.
Early bird catches the Idli
The most freshest and the luscious-est idli I have ever eaten. And the fact that it opens up as early as 0600 hours is cherry on the top.
Very minimalistic interiors, which you'd never associate with a restaurant in Mumbai. Like an old run-down Irani hangout with the only exception of serving piping hot (read soft as well) idlis with even more hotter sambar and delectable coconut chtuney.
The pax consist of mostly South Indians who set the alarm a little early (even on a weekend) to catch up the best South Indian fare ever served (at the price at which they offer).
After downing two plates of idlis, then it is time for the kanda poha - and woa, it's a sweet version of this so quintessentially Maharashtrian fare, and didnt I just love it. Never had had Kanda-poha with sambar and chatni, but it tasted totally delicious.
The filter kaapi is five star rated, and just gives you the right amount of kick to get on started with you day.
An amazing place, and would look to be here whenever I am in this part of the town, in the early hours of the morning, and am famished for a bite.

Ahhhhhhhhh ! Ram Ashraya, thou art absolutely the best! I just visited here this afternoon for a quick bite. Lip smacking south Indian food at the most unbelievable prices ever! We ordered 5 dishes which comprised of mysore masala and masala dosa,tomato rice and bissbelle bath and idli! and the bill was just Rs 127! Not only did we have a sumptuous meal but it was an absolute pleasure opting to go there. Truly, the beauty of this eatery lies in it's simplicity...Their know how to make their stuff,how to treat their customers and how to serve the right quantity! They of course have their own cons like there's no ambiance,the place is ever clattering with people and it's perpetually full,but you can't help ignore all of it and just focus on the food.I'm religiously their fan! way to go! :D
Fantastic South India Snacks
Ram Ashraya is a place I have been going to for over 25 years and it has some of the best South Indian snacks ever.
The Mysore Masala, Rava Dosa, Kela Bhajji and Goli Bhajji are must-have, as is the coffee. The traditional idli, vada and upma are great.
It is more than value for money!
reach matunga station (central), get out, see left nd right-ah dere, de kabootar khana on de left, walk towards dat, ok, now reached dere. wait. see left nd right. ah, dere it is, bang in front of u, at de start of de road , big board, big place, big crowd.
get in. wot ambience? dont search for any. wait for ur turn to be seated at a vacant place. maybe even share it wid a stranger if needed.
dere, its ur turn now. so simple, such basic place.sit down. dont search for ac.or marble floorings, or vase wid flowers at de table.
menu? wot menu? see dat smiling guy standing unassumingly by ur side? ask him wats for lunch/dinner. see, he is so sweet. always smiling nd ready to help.
now, place ur order. wot u want? just take one of everything. so dere u go. 1 medu vada (wid sambhar)-yumm. 1 idli (wid sambhar)-yummmm. 1 upma-yummmmmmmmmmmmmm.. 1 masala dosa -yummmmmmyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. 1 mysore masala dosa-oh heaven! 1 filter coffee-can i please stay here forever?

I have reviewed a south indian joint which is near Ram Ashraya but the idil's and the mysore sada were just yummy to give that extra STAR.
The sambhar , chutney, Mulga pudi , Bissibele rice and the coffee was just perfect.
perfect service even though it was lunch time and was over crowded.
Must Visit if one is in Matunga.
Superb South Indian Food - Best Idlis I had
Went to Ram Ashray on the recommendation of a friend. Parking Can be a problem in this area. It is very close to Matunga Central Station and bang opposite Shri Sunders restaurant.
It is a very basic, non AC, udipi place, where you eat, savour and leave....no ambience, but the food makes up for it.
What I ate and my review on each -
Idlis - The best I have eaten yet - absolutely melt in the mouth
Mysore Dosa - Smeared nicely with red chutney, very very nice.
Rava Dosa - Again nice but not the best I have eaten. They add some raisins to it too.....I liked the difference.
Dahi Bhaat - superb , served with crisp red chillies , achaar and fried papad like stuff.
Rasam Vada - excellent melt in the mouth vadas and tangy rasam.
Neer Dosa - Tasted very nice but found it a bit too full of ghee for my liking.
There is unlimited supply of sambhar, red chutney, coconut chutney.
To top of the superbly tasty experience, we had a very friendly and eager to please waiter which made it very pleasant.
Also the prices are a steal......all between 15-25 Rs per dish !
Highly recommended place if you are a foodie and not into ambience.
superb south indian food
Gimme a better south indian food restaurant and i m ready to lose anything.It cant gety better then this. the idlis are sponge like and the dosas are vey crisp minus oil. try the goli bhaji. also the plus point is that it is very cheap.The sambhar and chutney are unlimited.

Ramashraya is on the corner opposite Kabuttar Khana in Matunga CR, near the station. It is always full. Never there is a dull moment when you will find it empty.
They serve the basic south indian fare- idli, medu wada, and dosas et all. Do try the Mysore Sada Dosa, Onion Rava Mysore Dosa, Rava Sada Dosa, Upma, Pineapple Sheera. Also try their filter coffee.
It is a very no nonsense restaurant, so don't expect great standards (crockery, crowd, etc), but their kitchen is one of the cleanest in the area and their food the best!
Very moderately priced, a good meal for two will set you back by Rs. 150.
It is open on all days except Monday from 5 am, check this place for super food after a long night of partying!!
Awesome South Indian stuff!
15 years! Yeah, that's how long I have been frequenting this place. My highpoints for this place...
i) Their IDLIS melt in the month
ii) Their DOSAS are piping hot and yummy
iii) The orange garlic chutney & the coconut sweet stuff they serve with their NEER DOSA are out of the world!
Though the ambience is very basic and seating is a problem at times, its all completely worth it once the food arrives!
