It is a fancy bar located in the back lane of Bandra Reclamation. The place is loud, funky and buzzing with people of different age groups and walks of life. The interiors are very new age and service staff is armed with tablets to take orders, very techy. It is more of a waterhole and a dancing place than a foodies paradise. Along with our drinks we tried Shanghai Chicken, Mini Lamb Burgers, Original Pepperoni Pizza and Tempura Chicken Cannelloni. The dishes were nice with average portion size. The service is fine and staff polite. If I have to rate the place,
Food 3.5 out of 5
Service 3.5 out of 5
Quality 3.5 out of 5
Price 3.5 out of 5
Overall, 3.5 out of 5, must try at least once. If you are in a group that wants to get hammered and have a good time then this is the place.
Went with a huge group of hubby's friends since we were out till late and it was an impromptu meet so we hadnt pre-decided on any place. Orderd a bunch of stuff here-hummus, cottage cheese skewers, shanghai veg, lasagna, risotto sticks, thai green curry and noodles -everything was good but the starters were so good that we re-ordered all of them. We couldnt stop eating risotto sticks especially. Staff was very attentive even when such a huge bunch walked in,they got us seats and were smiling and serving politely throughout.
Had an awesome time!!!
We were at I Bar last evening and we were pleasantly surprised! We ended up having super fun! The happy hours were till 9. The muzic was good and the food was great. I must mention 'Losson' the bartender! He gave us great recommendations on mixers+food and was genuinely warm, friendly and helpful! If you are looking to catch up with friends or spend an evening with your beau you should head to I Bar. Great food, amazing service and its easy on the pockets too :) what more would you want!
Drink it up... (Happy Hours)
We chose a random venue to celebrate my Bday & landed up at I bar, standing outside deciding to go in or no.
Finally we got in & realized it was a good decision. It was 24th Night & these guys having happy hours all night was a double whammy. The place is really cool with awesome music.
The starters are good, lot of drinks options even after having happy hours, bar tenders were great & quiet cheerful.
It was a really great experience at a very decent expense... would surely like to visit again & make it a regular place to be with my friends...
Location is very good and unnoticed
This place is located in one of the most unnoticed areas in bandra. Its right next to IES college near lilavati hospital. The place is really great. Ambiance is chilled out and food and drinks priced at the most reasonable rates. Imagine a Kingfisher pint at Rs 150. Thats quite unheard of at any pub in mumbai. The starters are good. Pizzas and pastas are value for money. This place has happy hours also. The place is small with around 7-8 tables which can seat a max of 5-6 ppl/table. Great place to hang out with friends. I would surely visit again. and 1 other thing. You order via an ipad and the...

The new swanky I bar
Ibar s reopened with a all new swanky look equiped with a 3d projection bar and an Ipad menu on every table which makes it so convenient to place your order. The tempura prawns & thr lamp sliders are a must try. The whole new interiors give s you a lot a space to chill a move arround even on a weekend.
NEW SWANKY INTERIORS
Must check out I bar's new swanky interiors.I am super impressed with their 3 D projection mapped bar.The new interiors has ample space to chill as compared to their old interiors which was extremely cramped. Also, do watch out for their new menu.My personal recommendation would be prawns tempura, lamb sliders and rose sangria.
Staff is bad!!!
I had been to I Bar a couple of weeks back.I had booked a table for 8 pm .We reached there by around 7.45 pm. First of all the staff was not available and then when we asked the manager for our table, he said we will be given the table by 8.15 pm.We finally got the table by 8.45 pm(had to wait for 45 mins). Then the staff member who attended us was very arrogant and was not interested in helping us with the order.
Overall food is a little overpriced but the quality and taste is very good and the drinks are quite cheap as compared to other lounges.Cocktails are amazing. Only if we would have had a good treatment, I would have thought of this place as the 'Ideal Place' but like I said earlier the "STAFF SUCKS".
Perfect place for after work Chill!
If you are looking for a place to chill at post work, I Bar is a perfect place to be at. The alcohol may not necessarily be cheap but as compared to other bars in Bandra this place is decent. Also, this place serves some really delicious food-don't miss on their cigar cheese rolls, balsamic chicken and Irani kebabs with sour cream. What makes it a super cool place to chill at post work is their music and the fun vibe that this place has.All in all, I recommend this place to everyone looking to unwind post work over drinks.
And of course, the icing on the cake was my burrp! Club card which let me avail a 10% discount on my total bill...Wohooo!!!
Everything about this place is ridiculous. The size of it to begin with,it's one tiny garage in a building, that's what it is.The lighting really just saves electricity (and the terrible sight of their hideous interiors) and to top it all, the ridiculous name based on the fact that they have their menus on iPads (of which there are never enough to go around) .The price of their drinks is probably cheaper at a 5 star. 1000 bucks for a Gin and Sprite is absolutely ridiculous.
Its an average place at best. The put off is the big pillar like structure placed right in the center of the venue, which makes the place a little odd looking and small. Though their food is good but I don't really feel its worth the price charged. Their servers do not have sufficient knowledge of their own menu. The only saving grace and the reason we keep going there over and over again is relatively cheap alcohol. (In comparison to other decent lounges in Bandra)
I am not used to write lengthy reviews. I'll keep it short.
Me and three of my friend visited this place once. We were disappointed because like 3/4 of the drinks menu was marked out - of - stock especially beers. Couldn't find anything that we normally drink. So we had to choose from the available list.
Good ambiance, good music.
The staff who attend us was a dumb guy. It took like 15 minutes to make him understand what we wanted.
We were there only for drinks so we din;t try any food items.
Over all not bad.
Worth one try..& maybe another!
Cute little bar on the Candies stretch at Bandra Reclamation..All thats "interactive" is the sensory table and menu's on Ipad's..They also have some interesting offers like beating the highest score on Fruit Ninja/Angry birds can get you a free shot :P
The highlight is that they have happy hours till 9 p.m..Staff is courteous and service is prompt..Our Sex on the beach was a tad bit too sweet but I guess its too early to comment on the quality of all the drinks..Also the food portions size is miniscule..But for INR 700 on 2 drinks and an appetizer, its not too bad either!
Interactive Bar as they call them self.
Date of Visit 21st April 2012
As you enter the bar you are in the small smoking chamber to reach the bar. What catch your attention first is the interactive table, which senses your touch and leaves the graphics dancing. As very well done bar in the small lane of Bandra. Thankfully Valet parking available. The presentation of Shanghai Chicken, Balsamic chicken were totally 5 * grade, the crockery used was not the ones found in the normal lounges/Bar,the presentation scores total 10/10 , wish could give more than 10. When It comes to taste would rate them outstanding, well blended perfectly spiced. The quantity served is also nice. The quantity for Garlic Cheese Bread served was more the normal serving elsewhere. Your eye will not be searching for the staff for the order, as the ipad menu , with good detailing of each item allows you to place your order. Till your order reaches you , you can enjoy games on the ipad and if you beat the high score .buddy you would be rewarded with a shot ! would call this place an Osias.
Great Food..Awesome Ambience!
I visited I bar on 2nd april. Though it is a lil difficult to find its totally worth it when you enter here.
ITs warm friendly a lil hazy just the way most posh places are. The staff is extremely nice and courteous and make you feel very very comfortable.
For ordering we were giving i pads which had the entire menu and we could order directly.. this was something innovative..but apart from the i pads.. there was nothing "interactive" about the Interactive bar which was a bit of let down..
Firstly they have a wonderful spread, very different kind of menu and definitely innovative.
For starter we had Cigar rolls and irani kabab with sour cream
The cigar rolls were outstanding.. they were crispy with ryt amount of stuffing and wonderful sauce..they were served in a glass and the presentation was mind blowing.. def a must try!
The irani kabab though good were just like any other kabab u get at any place.. there was no diff peculiar irani flavour to it. Also it lacked some dip.. the sour cream wasnt the perfect side dish along with the kabab..
For main course we ordered Chicken roulade with coriander mousse..
I was very excited coz first time i was having the roulade..! However when the main course came, it was so tiny ... it was just like another starter!
The roulade was beautiful flavour wise and presented very well.. but for a main course it was very small..they provided a risotto with it but it was handful.. they should increase the quantity of risotto and salad to make it like an actual main course!
Apart from this we had some vodka hot with coconut foam and cranberry juice both of them were good..
Overall the food is presented exceptionally well.. but quantity is too less for the price.. had a total bill of Rs.1570(For two) but still we left the place a lil starving for more food..
Would love it if they give value for money! :)
Went there last evening. Place is in a quiet lane at Bandra Reclamation which is soon gonna become the next Khao Galli like Carter Rd. Drinks were very good and they weren't stingy on the alcohol in the cocktails, the starters were surprisingly very good and portions were substantial for lounge/bar standards. Have to mention that these guys seem to be really educated on how to make and present the cocktails.
Also, I liked the concept of an iPad as a menu using which u could also click for 'assistance' and only then would someone come to disturb you. No waiters coming again and again to stand on your head.
I didn't quite like the music that was being played there in the initial part of our stay there. Later it was OK. Donno if it was the effect of drinks or they were really playing better music.
Will certainly go there again.
Ok so i had given some bad reviews about I Bar earlier but after reading them i got a call from the manager.A very friendly guy.He said he would like to change our reviews about the place,so we can come here whenever we want n he'll give us a table for 4 with food on the house! So went there today!!
Service has improved from last time to a great extent. We got the iPads too which we didn't get last time n were informed that the cocktails were on the house too.
The Mango Bliss and Hazel Burn were lip smacking!
Cigar Cheese Roll and Hummus were great!!!!
This place is really really awesome.
The manager called us before we left to ask whether everything was fine.It was really sweet of him.
This place is gonna be the new "adda" for all of us now!!
Thank You I Bar.
Not at all a "Man's Bar"...Its awesome!
I Bar has happy hours every single day till 9 pm..tht makes me very hapy indeed. They have the Buy 1 Get 1 free offer on all drinks. We called for Long island ice tea and Watermelon martini... Both were excellent, not diluted. Music and ambiance is very good... and starters were great.... This is my new find and i am surely going bck there with my mad gang! Oh yes and i loved the foam shots too
great place, cool concept
We had heard about this place and decided to pass by to check it out. Will definitely come back!! The food was really tasty, big choice also for veg food, and we loved the foamy shots. The ambiance is very lounge-like and the music is just right for people who wanna chill but also have a conversation. Best part: the interactive bar table and the iPads through which we also ordered our food and drinks.
okay so i had a reservation on the 25th of January. It was my birthday. They gave us a reservation for 12pm for 8 people and said they'll give us d best seats. We reached there around 12pm n the place was shut. A man sitting outside said there's cleaning going on and we open after 1pm. They gave us the wrog reservations. They didn't even have chairs outside so we sat at a nearby coffee shop. We entered the place at 1:30 and asked them to give us the best seats. The guy there said sit wherever you'll want.
Food was good. The drinks not that great. Loved the shots.
This place is overpriced.
When the bill arrived it was around 4500rs n we called up the manager and asked him to give us some concession for the 1 and a half hour wait. He said i'll do something. We waited for 20 mins n nothing happened. A BAR attendant (i wish i knew his name) he was soo arrogant he was continuously staring at us and laughing. They gave us a 10% discount n did a huge mess in the bill (we are all ca students and we know how tax is charged) we sat there and showed them that they made a mistake but they didnt listen to us and continued making fun of us. We were supposed to go to some other place after that but we had to cancel it as these ppl wasted more than an hour for the bill. We just paid and left.
While leaving that arrogant BAR ATTENDANT was like "har jaga calculator lekar jaate honge" and started laughing.Who the hell did he think he was. BLOODY THIEVES!
Give this place a miss.Waste of TIME and MONEY!
IBAR a mad concept
Hi so i was just walking down from the candies lane, and i happen to notice this new place on the block .. IBAR very curious to see what justice have they done to the name i walked inside to see the place. To my suprise i saw this very cool 10 ft long motion sensed table which when touched comes to life suddenly... very cool u have to see it to understand what iam saying.... one of the staff members approached me and seated me down and handed me a IPAD instead of a menu. At first i thought they were tryng to copy ESCOBAR, but to my realization that you could not just see the menu but also order from it which automatically gets updated to the kitchen and bar, it is amazing to see that they have made a simple and a boring thing like a menu into something which shows the description of the dish the preparation style and u can also like the dish which then inturn posts it on your facebook page. I was delighted to see this and all the other things which IBAR was doing as iam a techno freak my self. Then comes the food, keeping with the concept the presentation of the dishes were very minimalistic fitting to the concept, the food was just excellent, not expected out of a bar. The music was good, at the right volume also the service was great. I am definitely going to be visiting this place again thumbs up. !!!
christmas eve flop party
was there for christmas eve - flop party. the food and drinks were as promised. had 5 bloody marys and 4 foam shots. my wife had 4 mojitos and 4 shots. but there was no crowd. there were only 50 people for the whole night. the dj was playing good music. i had an option to go to prive but i made a huge mistake and chose ibar..never again...
The new love of bandra...
We visited this place on a weekday late evening with very little expectation. Overall they quite impressed me with the decor, ambiance, service, food and drinks.
Nice interiors, looks massive, nice bar. we were greeted by a young polite lady. the attendants( they look quite techno savvy) are good with their recommendations- litchy woo, sangrias, beers, cheeseballs, bruschettas, chicken starters. we tried them in plenty. Excellent presentation/plating. great music- not too loud just right... Thank god for some good use of space, the tables are not too closely placed and even the attendants give us adequate time to enjoy ourselves. they have some great happy hour offers too between 6-9pm. This place can be slightly steep on pockets but overall worth it :)
I BAR: A mans bar
burrp! says: Go for the mixology shots but nothing else.
As the name goes, I BAR is an interactive bar and lounge and they claim to be the first one in India to be so. Probably inspired by Apple, the interaction is restricted to two iPads at the bar and a motion-sensitive interactive table which will blow your mind only when you are buzzed. Otherwise you are likely to find it juvenile. Lakhan Jethani (owner and bartender) who started the bar with his German friend Daniel May, claims that the interactive table is a good way to break the ice.
They also have games like Sing Star and Guitar Hero just in case you are in the mood for a little game-play! The highlight is a small but impressive menu of drinks made with the latest in technique called molecular mixology (see bottom). Simply said, it is molecular gastronomy extended to the bar!
Décor: The décor is a confused one. Blue lighting, beer bottles and the very techie-type interiors are a mishmash; they neither have a cool lounge feel nor a complete geeky feel. The lighting is too dull and bleak and most of the time you cannot see what you are being served.
Food: The menu has a lot of appetizers but not much real food. We ordered a sundried tomato cottage cheese steak (Rs 375) and it turned out to be a bad version of two fat slices of grilled paneer pasted with little tomato sauce. The paneer was soft and melted in my mouth but we could not see or taste the tomatoes and the dish was bland.
The balsamic chicken (Rs 370) was tender and juicy. However, the balsamic vinegar did not stand out and the entire dish was lukewarm and lacked flavour. Totally not worth it. We consoled ourselves that it was a bar and so the food was not their focus, but every good bar knows that good starters make for another glass of beer. But fear not. It is located in a narrow lane at Bandra Reclamation, which is overpopulated with eateries like Masala Mantar, Chez Moi, Candies and Quench.
Drinks: Our first rounds of drinks were Peach Bellini (Rs 500) and an orange juice-based cocktail (Rs 450). The wine-based cocktail was supposed to have fresh peach squash but we could not even taste the peach. The brut was zingy but the whole experience was more of drinking a fizz soda with a hint of peach. It is a good drink if you are to have a languorous evening with friends who have a low threshold to alcohol. They take pride in their handcrafted fresh fruit cocktails. However, we could only see cartons of Real fruit juice and many varieties of fruit squashes, pulps and syrups at the bar.
My friend couldnt find anything on the menu worth drinking. So the bartender/owner made him a cocktail that tasted like mixed fruit juice spiked with vodka.
Since the regular drinks were not working for us, we decided to sample some mixology shots, especially their famous foam and vegetarian caviar shots. To our surprise, they were quite nice.
We liked the tequila shot with lime foam (it has a hint of lemon but the beer does the magic you feel it after a couple of seconds and the taste lingers) and the Kamakazie shot with blue Curacao.
We also recommend the sweet Pina Colada shot with coconut foam, which is made from coconut syrup, desiccated coconut and coconut milk. Although we are not a big fan of Pina Colada, this one was very good.
The tequila shot with fruit caviar was our favourite. This is one drink at I BAR worth driving down to in evening traffic. The tequila hits you in the ears but the strawberry and peach caviar cleans your palate instantly. What is important though is that you go to the bar by late evening so that you can watch the bartender make it from scratch. The process is scientific and intriguing. The bar will customise drinks for you till 8pm.
Note: The idea of molecular mixology is to apply scientific analysis and techniques to mixing. It involves working with different flavours and textures by creating foams and gels, mists, vapour concentrations and using an appropriate glass, determining cooling properties with ice and also applying heat to caramelise sugar.
We stumbled upon this place by chance. We were going someplace next door which was full hence we decided to stop here for a drink, Obviously we never left.
Brand new place, i think it opened about a month ago. They are trying some interactive stuff. Staff is super sweet and very attentive. We were out on a girls night out and they made sure we had a gr8 time.
The food was good and very well presented - which is something u do not expect in bar food. The cocktails were good. The shots were really nice, they do some unique foam thing on the shots, whcih tasted great. We had the kamikazee shots, with mint and coconut foam. Can't wait to go back and have some more.
They have installed i pads on the bar, so if u're early or alone would be fun to sit with a drink and play some games. Alos have some interactive light table. fun when ure drunk :)
Looking foward to going there on a wed night for ladies night.
