I scream for their Ice-cream!
ICW serves delicious ice-creams and has definitely made its presence felt.
It would have been over a year when i first had an ice-cream at ICW and I have been a fan ever since!
Ice Cream Works has a great variety of flavors to sate your cravings.
I was really impressed by their Calcutta Meetha Pan ice-cream although i admit I was skeptical about it at first. Its pretty amazing how they managed to blend such flavors into their ice cream. I would recommend people to try it rather than just choosing the safer options. Also if you like Dark chocolates then their Dark chocolate ice-creams are very well made.
A couple of months ago while I was in Parle i happened to notice their branch over there and came to know about the flavor of the month offer they provide. I'm not very sure if its there on all the branches but i had got a Strawberry Scoop only for Rs.30 :D
Its a great place and definitely worth a try.
The Calcutta Meetha Pan icecream is a must try
Stopped by this place to get some ice-cream. Had not heard of Ice-cream works before, but the reviews helped us narrow down the choices. We had Calcutta Meetha Pan, Strawberry with Chocolate sprinkles and the Italian Dark Chocolate. All flavors recommended. Though, the Calcutta Meetha Paan wins by a huge margin.
Management, if you're reading this then please open a branch in Lokhandwala too.
Among my favorite ice-cream places in Bombay, Ice Cream Works totally wins on flavors for each scoop. Naturals has its originality, Hokey Pokey has its stone creations, Haagen Dazs has its smooth, sinful deserts whereas this one has complex flavors in every scoop.
I haven't tried out their deserts yet, but that's only because I get amazing flavors in just a scoop of each ice cream. Their famous Calcutta Meetha Paan, delightful. Their Bailey's Irish Creme, marvelous. Even something as simple as a Kulfi has an amazing flavor, which for me is a surprise coz I never thought a top-end ice cream place like this could produce a very rustic, Indian-tasting Kulfi. You must even try out their Strawberry Cheesecake. In fact, every scoop has something different and something unique about it. Go for it.
Brilliant ice cream.........
I have been to many ice cream parlours but this one beats them all.... i like the many new flavors that they have come up with and especially the suggestions to be offered by the staff in case u cant decide for yourself....
this is a must try for any ice cream lover......
Ice cream really works :D
I had gone to this place for the monthly competition they hold on who eats the most ice cream but my friends got carried away and decided to order some yummy sundae instead..so we tried various different flavours but yes, they are highly priced for sure but totally worth paying that mch as the quantity you get is quite a lot..they also hold a competition every 5th day of the month and ask you to have a huge bowl of ice cream which is so much fun..I am gonna most probably try it next month ?
ICW is unique, and that's one of the best thing about them, especially with flavors like Calcutta Meetha Paan, gajar halwa, italian crispy chocolate. They do have a very friendly owner and staff.
Being a chocoholic and well missing DBC from bangalore, I just had to try Chocolate to Die For (4.5/5) followed by Baileys which was slightly short of my expectations.
They aren't the cheapest option around, but are quite worth the money...
They dont give what is written on the board...
I had ordered for a nutty chocolate sundae which is chocolate ice cream with rich chocolate fudge, caramelised nuts & whipped cream. What i was served was....very thin & runny chocolate sauce/liquid, plain nuts & cream which had split. Caramelised nuts are different...it is crisp, sugary & sticky. Whipped cream is supposed to be soft, creamy, airy & little sweet...not grainy. It was a very very bad experience. You dont give what was promised. The amount that is charged & what you get in return does not match.
In a city where food uniqueness is pitched more often than it is witnessed in reality, ICW is unique, especially for that one flavor - Calcutta Meetha Paan.
It's unique and IMO it is executed well.
Friendly owner and staff. They encourage you to try different flavors. They offered me six before I made my selection - Chocolate to Die For (4/5), Bailey's (3.5/5). Others like gajar halwa, italian crispy chocolate were tasty and well executed but the Meetha Paan stood out for a unique experience - something I go out of my way to seek. Rs. 58 for a single scoop. Not cheap but God knows I've paid a lot more for a lot worse in this city.
Ice creams in three price slabs per scoop - 38/58/88. Most popular flavors fall in the latter two categories.
Hokey Pokey is way behind.
Natural Ice creams gets a competition next door in Shivaji Park - A newly opened ice-cream parlour. Strategically located with a lot of restaurants around. It is not a Gelato and not a natural. Definitely not a Hokey Pokey (Thank God!). The board says established in 19xx. I have not seen it till date at this place.
They have innovative flavours like meetha paan, Gajar Ka Halwa, Bailey's english cream etc and classical natural ones like Sitaphal, Chikkoo, Kulfi. Quite a few chocolate varieties are eye ball catchers.
I took a Meeth Pan (Friend insisted even though it is not my personal choice. It is an acquired taste. Not everyone would like it) & Bailey's English cream topped with Banana slices and choco sauce (5/5)
They have a range of toppings at 10 rs and a waffle cup(Big one) @ 10 rs.
Pricing: On Par with Baskin Robbins & Hokey Pokey
Ambience: neatly white. Crowded on weekends. Friendly staff. No seating space.
And yeah. You get to taste any flavour you ask for :)
Awesome flavours; hip interiors
If you've ever wondered what eating ice cream in a spaceship is like, check this place out. No fancy gelato or frozen yoghurt here--just full flavoured, high fat ice cream in all the classic flavours as well as some truly innovative ones. Paan and Halwa were a trip to taste, and I finally settled on Strawberry Cheesecake in a yummy waffle cone. Give it a shot.
This new ice cream parlor comes from the house of Blue Foods. They have some really different flavors like Meetha pan, Gajar Halwa, Malai Kulfi along with a host of chocolate and fruit based ones. Also two handmade flavors - Sitaphal and Strawberry. Liked most of the icecreams I tried though finally settled for Meetha pan and Sitaphal.
The staff was eager to please and made me try almost every flavor.
