Total Disaster

Waste of Good money. Totally overhyped place. Poor Management

good food

Well, i recently went to my friends place in churchgate and decided to have lunch from out. We narrowed down to jaffer bhai but sincr we don't like to sit and dine there decided to have a take away. Ordered for chicken tandoori, chicken tikka biryani, chicken patiala and butter chicken. Though i enjoyed the entire food but the chicken patiala was just too good. It was the first time i ever tasted chicken patiala and totally lived it. Though the food was quite oily but was good. Enjoyed eating.

One of the most overrated places for biryani in the city.

complete disappointment

I visited this restaurant yesterday and found the ground floor floor very dirty may be due to rains, all the waiter were fighting in the kitchen and it was a very noisy environment, service was good but i felt cheated as i ordered Full Mutton Biryani just to find only bones without any flesh in it taste was also ok not as per the name. i may never visit this joint again

small cozy place

Marine line br. is small cozy place but good food.

A Sheer Disappointment

I had been to this place yesterday with my dad. He normally never visits any hotels, i thought this will be a very good place as i have been to Delhi Darbar in Grant Road with my friends and it was good.

When i entered the place, the ground floor was full, so we sat on the 1st floor. On our table there were few glasses out of which one glass was used. It took us time to grab the waiters attention, where he gave us the menu, took his own time to come back to take the order. When he took the order the menu was still in my hands and he [almost snatched] the menu and kept it aside. We were patiently waiting for the food and the table to be cleared of the glasses.

The waiter took a glass and poured water in it, then he poured the water in the used glass. We told him this is a used glass. He was like, we clear the used glasses as soon as the table is empty. Come on. Its been almost 10 minutes that we are observing, an table which was empty still had glasses the way they are.

Coming back to the most important thing is the food. What we had was Mutton Tikka Masala [Rs. 310], Khameer Roti [Rs. 25 each], Bheja plain fry 90 [Rs. 145]. The meat was tender and soft. It was good. What stopped it from being very good was that the whole preparation was a bit salty. Khameer Roti was good. Soft and not very rubbery like seen in some other places. Bheja Plain Fry was a joke. Come on i understand that it was only for Rs. 140, The size of the bheja was very small. Leaving that aside, the bheja was very dry from outside, certainly not please my taste buds.

Total bill came to Rs. 555.

Things that went against this place was poor service, most things in the menu were unavailable, we had to settle for only that was available. And food which was not up to mark.

I shall never visit the marine lines branch. Certainly not recommended. I havent been to Grant Road branch recently but then i dont recollect having such a bad experience. Whats the point in visiting Delhi Darbaar when most of the things in the menu are not available?
